And would you expect him to pay his workmen out of his own pocket or would you expect the client (QoS FC in this instance) to pay as would be the case if it was being done for any other client. He wouldn't be much of a businessman if he took his labour force off jobs that made his company money and which therefore allowed him to pay his men and keep them in employment. Isn't the club already paying an employee/employees to do these things, the groundstaff.

We aren't asking him to build a palace, if he could place some conveniently located bins, paint a few walls or clean up some seagull shit, then that would be sufficient.

Whilst building a giant glass tunnel is incredibly unlikely, there is a few rather inexpensive stuff that Queens could do to make the ground a more pleasant place to be. Personally I think the interior of the new stand could be painted and better lit to make it look less dingy, adding some sort of weekly/monthly specials for food to possibly make the experience slightly different each time rather than the same standard fare, and just generally make the place look less like a 98 year old football stadium. Hopefully for the clubs centenary they can try and get some sort of volunteer recruitment drive going to make the most out of what we have.

  3. Of the drafts I've had that was one of them. Going for a nap and missing the first four rounds wasn't a particularly smart decision. Picking 14th in division 1.

  4. With wanting to go full Andrew Lloyd Webber on you all, There is literally an entire spectrum of colours other than blue to choose from and we go for grey on grey. It's one thing to be rubbish but another to also be dreary. Surely the best thing to do with a standard template effort is to go baws out mental on a stupid colour. At least then there's the possibility of a cult kit  that sells which is better than having SD's attic loaded with this seasons 'effort'.

  5. I'm scarred by last season so I'm not going to go mental but to take 9 from 12 is better than I expected and I certainly feel with the new signings that we have a degree of flexibility and quality that I don't think we had last season. I still think there's a lot more to find out before putting judgement on the team such as how the team reacts if they go down or how we cope with a team with quick wingers like Dunfermline or St Mirren but the next month where we play 3 out of 4 away from home where hopefully we see what this team is made of.

  6. The Mercedes-Benz stadium home of MLS side Atlanta United and the Atlanta Falcons is just about finished after 3 and 1/2 years and a cool $1.6 Billion spent on it. (The Retractable roof is getting properly done after the end of the NFL season.) First actual Football game is in 25 days. It holds 70,000 for NFL and usually will have 42500 for regular MLS games. Also has a high chance of being a host city at the 2026 World Cup if the USA wins it.

He got a move to an English Premiership team so must've had something.

However, if you look at his career since then, QPR released him early, Dundee Utd signed him and released him early, he went on trial with a Polish team who decided they didn't fancy him and let him go home from that early.  He isn't exactly making glorious progress.  He's also coming into a pretty dire team, particularly defensively so doesn't have anyone to guide him along.

Wasn't there rumours at the time that it was honest 'Arry Redknapp doing a favour for an agent? Would probably be the only logical explanation.

    That's just being greedy.

If Thomson returns I fully expect your next move will be to add an elephant to your badge.

Not until Queens sign Christian Nade and rename Palmerston with a  sponsor's name that takes multiple attempts to pronounce can we officially become the Sonhamers.

Look there's no way someone like Robinson is going to stick around and be second choice in these circumstances. Whatever you think about him (and I appreciate you are actually supporting him here) it's going to feel like a huge slap in the face bringing in a new No 1 ahead of him. His situation only works for Robinson if he feels like he can hold onto the No 1 spot if he comes in but Naysmith has clearly burned those bridges.
I'd be much happier with Robbo coming in rather than risking Leighfield but I can't see it happening and the manager has to take some responsibility for whatever car crash happens come 3pm Saturday.
Interesting that SD staying out of this debate. Suspect he knows too much and is far too sensible to join in....

Well he was willing to go to Sweden and be a backup and he was willing to be third choice keeper at Rangers so I'd have him as exactly the kind of person to stick around.

  10. I mean we are paying him so it would be nice to get him to do something. He can either try and impress Naysmith and make a return to the first team or impress clubs in acquiring his services. Either way if he has a stormer then it's good to have a result from Tannadice and if he is utter pish then we can get back to making fun of his mate on here.

Just as well Naysmith's attempts persuading Robinson to leave were unsuccessful.

  11. Whilst Naysmith so far has screamed absolute diddy, the concerning thing was that I doubt sacking Naysmith would make a difference to the current board's transfer policy. The main change between last season and the current one is Skelton  moaned a lot less publicly and had the assortment of youth teamers that acted as a masquerade for the lack of investment in the first team. Combined with a public expectation of top half, there is a feeling of having to do more with less. Which does fit in with P&B's 'Tory Borders Bumpkin' narrative unfortunately.

Isn't that what the new managers just done, durrrrrh

What makes it worse s he has no money to bring new player in ,yet chose to bring a keeper in .

    He's a walking disaster.

As for the interview ,the secret of success is sincerity ,one you can fake that you've cracked it

Well observed champ, although  at least Robbie Thomson was willing to get the hell out and progress his career whereas yer boy takes his career advice from Homer Simpson.
