  1. Rovers were featured at the forefront of a campaign that launched this week to aid a local firefighter (and Rovers man). Gary Dall requires a stem cell donor to match with him to ensure he beats his terminal illness. Anyone can submit a sample - in person or online. Full details on the official club website: http://www.raithrovers.net/31422/garys-appeal.htm
  2. I was asked this by a Rovers supporter over the weekend - Rovers programme editor Phil Nic dusted off the record books, and the answer is: "Several players have scored 8 in a row over the years. Notable ones were Dalziel with 8 in a row in 94-95, Haywood with 8 in a row in 37-38. Winner was Joe Cowan: 13 in a row in 31-32"
  3. I had the same problem last season with Thomson / Thompson and Callachan / Callaghan [emoji15][emoji15]
  4. Through John Hughes agent, Raymond Sparkes, who also represents Pawol
  5. Rory has only just turned 18, and was signed as 4th choice keeper back when we already had a fit Cuthbert, Lennox & Brennan on the books (remember that time? :-)): http://www.raithrovers.net/raithtv?vid=659 - 9 minutes in explains why Rory had to be signed as an amateur
  6. Happy to clear this one up - Lacny followed the club Twitter over the weekend for some reason, so a follow was sent back. Nothing more to it than that
  7. My 2 kids are 6 and 9 and both got the away shirt last October. I could bring them along on Weds (I'm there from early on anyway) and if you ask for me at the Main Office I'll hand them over.... let me know. NiallR
  8. This was something that was highlighted earlier in the season, but has now been rectified: http://www.raithrovers.net/directors Also, a link to the "contact us" page has been added to the top of this page.
  9. It's only today that they're doing a double, not all week ;-)
  10. I agree - it's because the FFP, Courier and Capital City religiously attend every weekly press call that RRFC schedule, from pre-season through to playoffs. The bigger papers only attend when we have a higher profile game coming up, and so tend to focus on the big story in the buildup (a la Rudi Skacel back page spread in the Record & Sun last week ) It also means that the FFP, Courier and CCP's rapport with the Rovers coaches and players is more well established than the national papers...
  11. Billy Brown scouts upcoming opponents in the traditional manner by attending games and reports back to the coaching team. Slight misinterpretation of that as being an analyst, but heyho.... Andy T provides computer analysis of those opponents using footage shared by other clubs. He also uses Rovers own footage to analyse our players performance following all games.
  12. That rings a bell, but in relation to the first injury rather than last seasons though.... Don't want to obsess over it though, so it's fair to say it's a horrendously unlucky run of injuries - each one unconnected to the rest :-(
  13. No. Different injury every time: right hip impingement this time, groin last season, something else the season before (hamstring I'm sure it was).
  14. They were the bomb, right enough :-) Worth the journey for them alone!
  15. They weren't training with the squad today...... as all the players had today off.
  16. That's the new Development Coach Craig Easton, who's replaced Laurie
