  1. I always thought it was Greig McCulloch that was famed for his squeaky voice, not Wilson...
  2. BT have requested access for just one camera + a cameraman, plus 2 production staff, and have confirmed they are not broadcasting the game live.....
  3. The vocal support was incredible - I was on the halfway line filming the game (surrounded by Morton support) and all I could hear was Rovers. Even though there was an impressive 200 or so in the Rovers section (and visiting fans tend to make more noise than the larger home support) all the players and management remarked on it on the way home :-). It's certainly much appreciated, and makes a real difference....

  5. RRFC Supporter - Director: Election Open Nominations for the position of Supporter-nominated Director have now closed. As there is more than one person nominated, an election will now take place. The Candidates There have been two nominations submitted to serve in this role: Gordon Adamson and Alan Russell Further info on the candidates can be viewed at www.raithtrust.org.uk The Role The successful candidate will be appointed to the board of the football club's holding company, New Raith Rovers. It may also lead to the person being appointed to the board of the football club. The position exists because of the ongoing collective investment that fans make through their supporters' organisations. Voting Voting opens today and closes at 10pm on Friday 26th February 2016. To vote in this election, voters must be current adult members of any of the Raith Forum groups (Jim McMillan Club, 200 Club, Supporters Club, Rovers Down South and Raith Trust) OR an adult Raith Rovers FC season ticket holder. In a departure from previous elections, voters can now cast their vote online; emailed instructions on how to do this will be sent out to all eligible individuals in the next 24 hours. Those individuals who have not submitted a valid email address to any of the Forum groups (or Raith Rovers FC for season ticket holders) will receive a postal ballot form in the post in the next week. Hustings Event There will be an election hustings event scheduled early next week (w/c 15th February 2016) where voters will get a chance to hear the 2 candidates speak, as well as an opportunity to put any question to the candidates. Details will be confirmed and announced by the end of this week.
  6. The nomination process to select the next RRFC Supporter - Director is now underway. Rovers supporters who are interested need to put forward their nomination - in the event that more than one nomination is received an election will take place. Full details here: http://www.raithrovers.net/?p=23039
  7. I was at Glenrothes today with RaithTV to do the pre-match interview with the manager for the website. A signing was made today..... A loan deal for a 24 year old forward till the end of the season..... Waiting for the SPFL to confirm the paperwork has been received and processed, and it'll be on Twitter, Facebook and the official club website (also features in the gaffers interview) :-)

  9. We're broadcasting live (audio only) on RaithTV , although if you're working you might struggle to get away with tuning in...
  10. As I said on Fantalk - Laurie Ellis sets up and takes training every day with Ray M at Glenrothes, as Darren Taylor & Grant Johnson have decent careers outside of football and are usually only present on matchday....
  11. Ray McKinnon's first interview for Raith TV - includes a word of thanks to Brechin City around about 7m 45s: http://www.raithrovers.net/raithtv?vid=370
  12. In our run through of what we were going to talk to before the camera was switched on it was made apparent that Malpas is of an era that the younger generation aren't that familiar with - he told a story of a training session at Hibs with academy teenagers who'd never heard of George Best and didn't know what the Cruyff turn is.... hence the extended conversation about his goal v Rovers in '87 (one of my first games as a serious Rovers supporter aged 16). Went the 'eggshell route' as MM is an interviewee that we don't want to brass off - might want to speak to him again in the future ;-) That, and the fact that meeting your heroes is not great for the nerves :-))
  13. As before, Raith Rovers Abroad live Video coverage is not available for tonight's friendly v York. Audio commentary for today's game is FREE. Sign up for FREE live Audio commentary at: www.raithroversabroad.net

  15. Think you saw that on the unofficial Facebook page peegee - the one that liam_barnett runs. Would still be a sound signing though, whether officially or unofficially 'announced' :-)
  16. Bairdy signs till the end of the season: http://www.raithrovers.net/12748/rovers-swoop-to-bring-back-bairdy.htm
  17. Mucked up my original reply using the 'Quote' function so here we go again: What internet browser do you use? I used to use Firefox, and the quality was appalling - didn't do the amount of effort put in to create the video justice. Since switching to Google Chrome the videos are almost flawless re stuttering / buffering...
  18. Shaun Strang didn't arrive till early in the Nicholl years. It was young Billy Spence that had his pen saved at Brockville, after our brave skipper on the night Ian Gibson sent him up to take the critical pen kick. I think we lost 9-8 as a result.... I never really forgave Gibson for that
