  1. Sore one for Hibs but that’s a stick on penalty. No idea what some people are looking at.
  2. I think they’re probably quite happy that people aren’t talking about rapey Vince so much in the run up to Wrestlemania.
  3. Maybe it’s because he played in a superior team for spells but I’d take peak Moult over peak KVV everyday, personally.
  4. Should have signed a striker but content with the rest of our business. The club was completely right not to break the bank for KVV. Unfortunately, as could be seen in the St J game, Bair is playing through injury. Hopefully his hamstring holds up for the rest of the season.
  5. Looks like they quite skilfully put some real heat on Drew as a heel in the process.
  6. Must be pretty tough mentally for aging wrestlers, Punk and countless others, when it becomes clear their bodies just aren’t gonna let them do something that they clearly love to do. It’s hard to see Punk ever returning to regular matches now as others have said. Three major injuries, pretty much back to back. Real shame for the lad and for a potentially fantastic Wrestlemania feud. Looking ahead it’ll be interesting to see how they shape things up with both Lesnar and Punk out of action (for very different reasons of course). Opportunity possibly knocks for Gunther and Bron Breakker…
  7. Apparently looking at around a month out.
  8. I think that's the stuff that stands out for me. There's so many options and far more star power than there's been for quite a number of years. Whether it Trips or whoever else, they've built in-house stars which they had failed to previously, and mended bridges to bring in those 'outside the tent'. Personally, it's the first time I've been buzzing for the Royal Rumble since probably 2017 and I reckon the potential here surpasses that one for me.
  9. Gave me Marvel 'What If' vibes watching that. Incredible backstory and circumstances to get them both in that particular ring together. Not too many people could have predicted it a few years ago. Definitely drags in casual fans like myself. Thought the main event was a bit of a bust. Probably in the minority but I don't really enjoy the R-Truth stuff. I haven't really laughed at wrestling humour since perhaps Santino. In saying that though WWE has raised their game enough to draw me back in. If only AEW could get their shit together, outside the point and laugh drama on social media, then I'd be over the moon with the wrasslin product in 2024.
  10. I enjoyed that on Twitter last night, not gonna lie. I'm all for it tbh - the more drama the better. Khan does make AEW look very small time with it but it's all a good laugh in the end. No point taking these things too seriously. It is quite ironic that TK has managed to effectively promote Jinder Mahal with one Twitter outburst better than WWE has done for years. I would think Jinder is secretly delighted.
  11. I personally wouldn't read too much into that @BB_Bino Imo Barnes is the only one with a realistic chance of being in the squad. I'd rather him over Anderson anyway.
  12. I think that’s a fair point, we’re talking a handful of games here. He’s such a high level of player that there’s no reason to doubt he wouldn’t adapt to that eventually, although clearly wasn’t going to get the chance to do it at Arsenal. The thing about him playing that role atm is that it may blunt his rampaging runs and quality delivery into the box. However, as he gets older, and particularly with the injuries he’s had, he may naturally drift towards that kind of player.
  13. He did look uncomfortable in that role the few times I watched him attempt it for Arsenal tbh. In particular there was a game away to West Ham he just didn’t seem a natural fit for what Arteta wanted and actually, given his biggest strengths, he probably thought (correctly imo) that he was wasted being played there. Great player but just wasn’t what Arteta was looking for seemingly.
  14. Thanks a lot for that. Interesting, yet sadly depressing, reading. Eta, I just watched Tony Khan’s answer on this from the press scrum where he’s dressed in a wig and comedy glasses. Seemed weak and ill judged at best.
  15. Sorry to be a pain but could someone sum up the Jericho stuff for me. On holiday and missed the drama/allegations or whatever it is.
  16. Oscar Bobb at Man City. Was Norway’s best player in the recent game at Hampden.
  17. Yeh he couldn’t have had too many complaints about getting hooked. I’m sure his confidence might take a wee hit but by no means the end of the world for the wee man. Maybe a reassessment for the time scale on his breakthrough.
  18. Has struggled to get into the game at all really. Doesn’t seem to have the game intelligence yet to enable him to do that against a team playing a low block. At his age I suppose that’s not a huge surprise. It is also a very young Liverpool team that has struggled in general with any supply to Doak being very poor.
  19. Starts for Liverpool tonight in the Europa. Will be watching with interest.
  20. Im on 12 points and got the same message...
  21. Big 45 for Kettlewell here. Sitting off Dundee at home like this after a positive start has been criminal. Players confidence look shot at the first sign of pressure and the tactics are abysmal. Needs a big turnaround.
  22. His promo was basically an extended version of what Triple H said in the post SS press conference I thought. So what you’re explaining probably makes sense. Hardly set the heather on fire but patience is a virtue.
  23. Would you turn down multiple millions of pounds and simultaneously give the fans what they wanted, in his situation? He slagged the WWE off and vice versa but time goes by and things change. What exactly did he stand for previously that he doesn’t now? He’s a wrestler not some politician for world change.
  24. That the first time I’ve seen The Creed Brothers and thought they were the stand out thing on the show. That last finisher in particular did look abit dangerous though. As for the Punk promo, I thought it was exactly that - a promo. When he returned to AEW it felt more like he was having a conversation with the audience rather than saying something prepared previously. It was definitely more organic. In saying that, given the nature of his and company’s relationship over the last 10 years, there was always going to be a bit of awkwardness to get over at first. Once he gets into a proper feud, I think all that stuff gets forgotten. Ultimately, that’s what we’re all here for.
