  1. I'm probably what you'd describe as a McGhee fan. The way he guided the club after Phil's death (a fact that is forgotten all to readily by the people who assume him an arsehole) will stay with me to my dying day. Yes, I know a lot of shite came after it with him whoring himself out to every club under the sun but we're Motherwell ffs, get over it. (By the way he also turned down the Hearts job) In saying that, I have been critical of his tactics in the past and certainly have been this season. I agree, there's not a fucking chance he would have gotten us through that play off, he holds the old firm on far too high a pedestal. In many ways we were lucky to have someone who didn't really know Scottish football at that time and was willing to play counter attacking football against 'them' to perfect effect. About the only thing Baraclough did right in his time here. Imo McGhee will beat enough of the other diddies around us to keep us up. So should stick around until at least the end of the season. Do I trust him after that, well to a certain degree circumstances at the time will dictate, but no, probably not. Genuine question to the McGhee out brigade. Who would you replace him with? Craigen?
  2. I'd have the play off season down as one of my favourite ever. The *** battering will live long in the memory and more than made up for the turgid shite that came before it. This season's just a bit, meh. At least now with people frothing at the mouth over Mcghee we've got a bit of excitement.
  3. This has turned into a late night AA meeting in here, i see.
  4. Tait's decent enough, has flaws which are natural coming from the level he did, I get the feeling he'll improve over time. Pretty sure he has a good few assists, I'd probably say his crossing ability is one of his stronger attributes. I'm sure someone on steelmenonline was punting him for a Scotland cap a wee while back...
  5. Reported on BBC radio there that we've submitted an offer for him. Going by McGhee's comments in the presser, no real surprise I guess.
  6. Agreed. Our model is all about developing home grown players and picking up unearthed gems from elsewhere to sell on at a profit, that's how we're going to be financially successful. I'm not sure where the short term loan signing of a rival clubs player fits into that model. If I believed we had the money to buy him at the end of the loan and then sell him on at a profit, a few years down the line, then I'd be more favourable to it. However for various reasons already outlined I don't think that's viable.
  7. I didn't check a post and made a grammatical error. You seem completely unable to comprehend things that are blaringly obvious, I know what position I'd rather be in. But I've read the other dross you pollute this forum with and there is very little point in conversing with you, you're a goner.
  8. That's like totally your opinion man. Luckily for the rest of us you're aren't particularly bright, no luck.
  9. Tbf I agree with this to a certain extent. Sturgeon is a naturally cautious politician, I think she probably has quite big reservation's about calling an Indy ref so soon. However she's also bright enough to know that she simply has no other choice. She's played a blinder throughout the all thing. She's acted in a reasonable and measured manner and is letting the U.K. Gov slit it's own throat. Another referendum is coming, that's for sure. The result at this stage is far from certain, however.
  10. So you're basing your 'suspicions' on absolutely f**k all then. Thought so. You've come up with your non-sensical prediction's because you met a few bright EU nationals in London, once. Right...
  11. What vacuous nonsense. Care to expand on that at all. The Tories will still be in power and we will still be led by an ultra right wing UK Government outwith any kind of EU safeguards. You simply seem unable to accept this. It's sad really.
  12. I keep seeing Unionist's saying a hard brexit won't materialise, despite all the evidence pointing to the contrary. What are you basing this opinion on? A hunch? Or more likely you just don't want to admit that the Union that you hold so dear is pulling Scotland into a dark hole, that we may never get back out of.
  13. You sure? I certainly remember it, at least being quoted in the media, as the 750k figure. I also seem to remember the reason we turned it down was because McGhee made such a big deal over it as a red line issue for him sticking around.
  14. Aye, I agree with you upto a point. However if people don't know what arseholes the tories are by now then they may never come to that realisation. This generation of pensioners will probably never budge, even after their pensions get humped even further. Sturgeons in a tricky position to appease members like myself that believe Brexit presents the best chance possible for Indy but also being sensible about calling it when she thinks she can win. The whole thing is going to be based on Scotlands access to the single market, which the opinion seems to be at the moment that May & Co are telling us to do one. I'm very confident that there will be another Ref in the next few years. Not so confident of winning it.
  15. As I say, it is my belief that there will be another referendum before the end of 2019.
  16. There will be another referendum before the end of 2019. I'm ITK don't you know.
  17. You didn't say that though did you? You presented it as fact. I'm 'just guessing' but you made it up to fit your petty, small minded shite.
  18. I appreciate Mcdonald's contribution to the team in regards to his leadership qualities and improving the players around him. It'd be pretty hard to argue that he wasn't an important player for us last season. However it would also be disingenuous not to admit the fact that there were quite a number of games where he couldn't even make a five yard pass. Myself personally, with Mcdonald at 33, would have been tempted to gamble on El Baktoui, who may or may not have more of a sell on value. It would have been a gamble no doubt as you know what you're getting with Mcdonald but it's worked for me in Football Manager and if that isn't proof of my theory then I don't know what is.
  19. I'm not sure someone who can't even grasp the quote function on a football website should be judging who's smarter than who tbf.
