Isn't the whole "If we don't keep Archie then we may get someone worse" argument as poor as the "who would you get in as a replacement?" point? It's a shitebag stance for me. With any managerial change there is an element of risk but you have to give it a go instead of meekly accepting more average to poor results.

Many of the repeated errors that lead to our eventual demise have been present for most, if not all, of Archies tenure which is why a change is needed. Its hard to see much reason to rush back to games next season when he is still at the helm.

While like everyone else I'm seething at how meh the whole team seem, I'm also confused how most think that Archie charging about apopletic with rage, booting about chairs and shouting in players faces would solve things? This is large problem of both the "all standing is safe!!!!!" and "safe standing is still a risk!!!" argument. Both sides are incredibly disengoenous with with this argument. Yes standing without barriers is safe on the basis nobody moves from their slot on the terrace. But in large crowds people do move. Do you expect uneducated stewards on a low wage with meh training to solve this issue when it escalates? As someone whose worked with those with a license that says they're "qualified" for worst situations then, no, I definitely don't. On the flip side the idea that all standing is abhorrent and another stadium disaster waiting to happen assuming standing is reintroduced is absolute fucking nonsense. At Thistle we stand the entire game in one stand, with several hundred of us and without issue. However there are seats separating us so I can see the argument of "safe standing". The middle ground seems a reasonable comprise and one that looks to prevent any real horrors occurring.

I think the stupidly high roof of The Academy means it's got so much natural reverb it's a nightmare for techs to get right.
