  1. You've signed 4 players which equates to 50% of our whole budget. - How do you know what monies have been spent to come to this conclusion?
  2. But they should reply back to you or acknowledge you making contact with them.
  3. I don't think I've even seen any official statement issued on Pie and Bovril before from a club. I've seen links to the club's website after an announcement has been made though their own channels. If you have sent the club messages they should respond within a timely manner.
  4. Nade had a kick out at wee Subo as well during the game when the ref asked Grant Murray to sub him. I remember Nade going over to the bench and kicking hell out the water bottles.
  5. Both, can mix it with crunching tackles but an intelligent player. Just shout Porto
  6. Excellent, a bright future ahead of him if he keeps working as hard as he did last season. I would love to see him back at City this season but it depends on his employers
  7. I think the speed that other clubs had their season tickets up for sale last year took our committee by surprise as I'm sure they were still debating the prices at the time. Not to sure why there has not been any announcements yet as I would have presumed status quo from last year with the same arrangements for purchasing them. Regarding the new strips I would image FN would want a kit launch like they did last year and would expect something on social media regarding this.
  8. The Club is going through its second transition within a 12 month period with a new chairman in place who has already tied up to me key players in the process. I"m sure "the board" are talking to players both existing and potential targets like any other club but sometimes this can take time. I'm sure that these new targets have already been identified but may not necessarily be the same players that have already signed and paraded by other clubs. I'm sure there will be news when the both parties are ready.
  9. Not heard or read anything official but I would imagine a few players moving on over the next wee while who it's still unclear yet but I'm sure things will be confirmed soon enough.
  10. I'd rather use the cup competition as pre season friendlies as it's not realistic that City would qualify anyway. I would like to win games like everyone else but if Gary uses this to try new players or different team formation etc I could not give a hoot if we were bottom at the end of the group stage. Regarding the league I can't honestly see City starting the way they did last year as a team we are 12 months further on, more experienced players and know what to expect.
  11. He's already had knee surgery but has been advised it was going to 6 months to heal and decided to retire. I honestly hoped to get another season from the big man as he's been an emense signing for us. http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/edinburgh-city/edinburgh-city-defender-joe-mbu-retires
  12. Signed again for this season player/coach. http://www.edinburghcityfc.com
  13. I think it really depends on who leaves and what gap City need to fill, Defence wise started a bit shaky but got wiser and stronger, Both goalkeepers are fine, central defence with Mbu and McKee are fine, midfield with Walker and Laird in the central fine, missing Gair on left hand side so he definitely needs to be replaced, upfront a bit shy with options at times so for me a left midfielder and a out and out striker are the priority IMO
  14. I'm sure everyone involved are taking some well deserved time off and as soon as they are in a position to confirm signings/strip's/season tickets etc then I'm sure it will be published on social media asap. I personally can't see anything changing regarding prices for season tickets compared to last season.
  15. Plans to still have the track around it but remove the long jump area so the new stand will be closer to the pitch. Don't quite get the quote as a proper football ground. The old Meadowbank was SPFL compliant and so will the redeveloped one.
  16. In our first game away to Arbroath ( which we won ) there was only Mark Laird and Dean Cummings in the squad the rest were players from our successful LL team. Although Mark played at a higher level a in England Dean came from a league ( East of Scotland ) 2 divisions below the SPFL. Gary kept the majority of the LL squad for the SPFL campaign.
  17. The plan is to move back to Meadowbank after the refurbishment or redevelopment.
  18. I think there is a difference between a ground being redeveloped and being lost/sold.
  19. No lucky when your player kicked out and tried to swipe Josh Walkers feet away from him and only received a yellow card. Very lucky IMO to be on the park.
  20. If Beattie had went for the ball at the end he would have been in an off side position given Cowden a free kick and a chance to get the ball up the park and get the equaliser. Instead City let it go for a throw in which they should have squeezed the game up and seen the game out.
  21. I wonder if and when we keep our SPFL status if there will be a team of everlasting fame put up on P&B. [emoji3]
