  1. In games where you are dominating there is a resistance to make changes but today we didn’t create anything. We applied pressure without any real cutting edge. Mistakes withstanding, we defended ok, Dunfermline we’re happy to allow Muirhead and McGinty all the time in the world to take the ball out of defence and let them make a mess of it. midfield was more positive, Maxwell and McKenzie could have been replaced after an hour. The shape was ok and it would have made more sense to replace the support to Ashford rather than go 2 up front. I think we need a Dorrans type to take the ball from the defence and run the game for us. We need to make better changes to suit the opposition.
  2. Better today, still not great but better. Maxwell and McKenzie are more defensive wide players, it was obvious that Dunfermline were offering nothing out wide, we really could have done with more attacking and overlapping on the wings. With all the possession we had, we never looked like scoring but retaining possession was a start, some tidy play but some dreadful mistakes as well.
  3. His knowledge of DGW would have played a part, he would know how he’d have fitted in to their squad and that would have played a massive part in his horrific decision to sign him
  4. Having a manager that can build a squad on personality and desire to win, it’s like moneyball, looking at stats and GPS data, he looks at compatibility with the rest of his team and what type of player they are. They seem to play as a unit and fight for each other. It comes down to man management and personalities. McCall does it well, McGlynn as well.
  5. The money Kilmarnock invested during the window looks well spent, every one of them to a man looks capable of a top 6 finish. Something they have coveted for the last 20 years. Bringing in McInnes and his team at top dollar to make sure they are slightly above average is a master stroke .
  6. Kyle Laffertys miss made me snort cider out my nose and now my entire head is burning
  7. I feel we try and stop other teams rather than having our own game plan. We are not good at one aspect and concentrate on it
  8. Was it a loan? Is a loan Debt? Did Kilmarnock take it? if the answer to the above is yes then you and your pals have argued for about 3 pages despite the facts being against you. you are all a really thick bunch, yet you are trying to patronise us. You are not very good at this, you also have no shame which is a bad combination. tick tock
  9. If you have a sitting midfielder, moving the ball from left to right, it gives forward players an out ball if they get caught up, helps keep possession. It means the full backs can push up in support and keeps the pressure on. What we do is win the ball, play it quickly to a forward player, if they receive it which is normally 70/30 against, there is no support or out ball, so it is returned to us and we stay under pressure. We need to be more on the front foot and try to create chances rather than force them.
  10. Listened to Bullen in the press conference. he mentioned Maxwell and Gandoh, O’Conner and McKenzie. they have came off the bench in recent weeks and made an impression. In the first half, we play negative, dull, defensive football until we concede, normally in the first half. We then decide to try and look like we want to compete and go more offensive. The forwards are changed and they “appear” to be better than the ones they replaced. How about we don’t play as negative from The start, play to the strengths of the forward players early rather after 70 minutes of drudgery and then attempt a Hail Mary in the last quarter.
  11. We have no external debt You took an emergency loan last year to keep the club afloat OtHer CLubZ TOoK IT!!!!!!! So thick they are blissfully unaware of how fucking thick they are
  12. Either something will click and we will stick 5 past Dunfermline or Bullen will play the same team that bored their way to only losing 1-0 on Tuesday expecting us to win. 2-0 Dunfermline, goal either side oh half time. Ayr to have 1 shot at goal, from distance. Bullen to make 2 subs, one where he replaces the right back again to increase our attacking threat and to really go for it late on, Albinson for McAdams. An after match interview describing us as "unlucky" and "getting closer"
  13. Didn't happen to me but it sounded awful. One of my mates sat on a cracked toilet seat, it was a thin plastic seat and was cracked right at the front. When he sat down, it opened the crack up (on the seat) but when he stood up, it closed catching dick skin.
  14. The Czech league returns from its winter break this weekend, The first round of fixtures since the 19th December. Plzen have spent a great deal of money trying to recover from their almost 2 year slump, manager Michal Bilek, a hugely experienced manager took over last season and has improved their fortunes. A defeat to Slavia in October, followed by a draw with Sigma meant they were knocked off top spot but thanks to a surprise draw with Banik are only a point behind Slavia. Sparta have been a lot more consistent this season and have kept a challenge going and are currently 3 points off top. At the bottom end of the table, Karvina look favourites to go down, 5 points from 19 games, 12 points from safety. Last seasons over achievers Pardubice have struggled somewhat this season and are currently in 13th, just above the relegation zone, a point behind Bohemians. In league one. Brno are running away with the league with a 10 point gap. A team I have a soft spot for, Viktoria Zizkov, who were in the top flight recently could be about to drop in to the regional leagues. Transfer wise, Almost all transfers were internal, the very few exceptions were players moving west from Armenia and Georgia. Slavia, Sparta and Plsen have all plundered the best talent from the teams below them. Czech football is becoming like many leagues where one or two teams who are regularly in Europe start to dominate domestically, Czech football appears to have a better trickledown of money through transfers. Sparta and Slavia are both in the Europa conference, Sparta dropping from the Europa league and Slavia from the Champions league, via the Europa league. Slavia have been poor this season despite being top. Injuries to Provod, Boril, Sevcik, Holes and Kolar haven't helped. Stanciu has just agreed a 4 million move to China which will weaken them further. They are going through a similar transition to Celtic a few years ago, no real domestic challenge, a squad of developed, overperforming players that were sold on with an expectation of developing more rather than reinvesting in the playing squad. Now they have a challenge, they have an aging. injury prone team and a lot of talent wanting away after featuring in Europe.
  15. I’ll assume you are just a permarager looking for an argument and venting about stuff you know f**k all about. I supported Ayr through the McLeod era where he spunked the money made in the championship winning season on dreadful players when we went full time. I supported Ayr through the Daziel era where we still hold the British record for the most amount of players used in a season. The former led us to George Burley signing youth players released from Premier clubs and jobbers, the latter took us nowhere and we almost went bust. if anyone in the championship thinks it’s a good idea and sustainable to have a full time squad of 25 it isn’t an Ayr fan. The second part of your rant is all bollocks, I wasn’t making out Ayrs season was good, I was highlighting that Kilmarnocks had been so far a footballing and financial disaster. I can’t make it any simpler for you unless you want me to do it in picture form
  16. Like Smith, there will be a limit. Smith looks like he set a limit and didn’t bend in the window, players out before players in. As frustrating as that is, I’d rather have a cautious. speculate to accumulate approach rather than the spunk money up the wall at whatever cost approach . If Smith runs out of cash, who comes in ? Another Cameron, slashing costs, leaps backwards to keep the club alive? A Restoraroof clown? If it comes down to keeping his business afloat or the club afloat then we are fucked. paying over the odds for 25 average players, then paying for McInnes and his back room staff, them paying for half a dozen players to try to polish the turd of a season they hate having, currently getting schooled by a part time team. At what point does Bowie concentrate on his own business if they are faced with a second season in the Championship or a first season back in the premier getting scudded every week?
  17. That was Rangers problem, to big to go bust according to the support.
