  1. Don’t think Adeloye on his own up front is working. O’Conner is doing ok but Bradley needs to do more to support.
  2. Phone up the SPFL, tell them we’ll forfeit the game and try and avoid a fine. the fine will probably be less then 2 busses and a potential overnight stay if we draw anyone north of Dundee right enough.
  3. Beat Rangers children AND go out this shitey cup moral victors win win
  4. I’d take 2 meaningless games as opposed to an arseclencher on the last day of the season in Inverness or a cowardly 4-0 buggering in Arbroath. weeks of seeing your team being dreadful and players obviously chucking it, fans fighting between themselves, attendances down, questions about going part time again…the disappointment of caving in during the playoffs lasts until you hit the pub after the game. the first aim should be safety, then a play-off place and then the league, at the moment, relegation is more likely that winning the league so we need to fix that part.
  5. The racecourse function suites are across the road. There maybe isn't the market for anything bigger than what we have. I'm sure if there were big live games on in the hub to watch, people might go but I doubt the bar would be open 7 days.
  6. Safe from the relegation places with 5 games to go should be a target. Anything above that would be an improvement. this league can be nuts, 4 wins can take you from 8th to second at times.
  7. Well aye, but there was a narrative developing that the squad wasn’t bad at all, in actual fact it was quite good, if we beat Hamilton there will be a title charge. Duffy has changed the style and we are winning games but the basic failings of the team are still there, once we hit managers like McPherson, McCall, Johnston, Wright…they will try to exploit them. At least now, we have a bit more about us to counter that and at least try to compete. Setting up in league games to try and not take a pumping is unforgivable unless you are concerned about goal difference and you are playing one of the old firm. You shouldn’t realistically expect a 5-0 thrashing off someone in this league. Might happen but you wouldn’t expect it.
  8. The defence still has the capability to gift goals, that won’t change because of the personnel we have. We still concede the midfield because of what we are missing there. the difference now is that we look like we can pass the ball about and create chances.
  9. Hopkin wouldn't have made 8 changes for last night and we wouldn't have won either. This team with anyone with a clue in the dugout could be comfortably mediocre in the Championship, Hopkin was taking us down.
  10. The Rangers B twitter account is live tweeting Rangers B activity in the game.
  11. Rangers TV aren't covering it but will post highlights "in the coming days" It doesn't look like AUMediia are covering it either. Only the club account have tweeted the lineup
  12. The team for tonight is showing the contempt the competition and opposition deserve. Having said that, is all first team players selected so we should still be competitive.
  13. https://publicaccess.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=PO8Z15BD0BY00 Link to the planning application
  14. I have one and after I heard this I checked it, They all look like they were done by the same person.
  15. The last time I checked when this came up, it was still owned by the rail company and they had submitted a maybe joint with Kirkwood) bid for housing that covered the car park as well. The car park is now back in Smiths hands so I am guessing the plan was rejected or it wasn’t worth while. I’m sure Barr spoke of a rail halt at Somerset at one point, to get more fans willing to go to the game by train. It could be used on race days as well. Seems costly and unworkable now.
  16. He turned up to a daily record event “worse for ware” the daily record described him as being “clearly tired and emotional” which was a well used euphemism like “confirmed bachelor” when they would get sued for saying someone was gay. forgetting he was mic’d up (or fully aware) told the person sitting next to him that he wasn’t looking forward to answering questions from all those b*****ds. He Said on off the ball that he and John Kerr signed all the autograph requests that came in to the club, the 2 of them signed all the players signatures for a laugh.
  17. Alex McLeish's name was mentioned a few times during the interview, not in relation to the Ayr job but I don't know is Spiers was trying to plant it.
  18. I’ll need to bleach my google search now but checking Rangers website it has the next Rangers Tv stream as the Lyon game on the 16th
  19. That is possible, but since Hopkin took over, people have been falling over themselves to say what a good guy he is, some have worked or played with him before. The comments coming out now are that he was stubborn and difficult and wouldn’t listen. So they are either following a paper thin PR line or they are shapeshifting opportunists.
  20. Worth a listen, Spiers got more out of him than BNWTV would. Didn’t commit to much but was fairly open. Wants a new manager to be involved in the community which was missing from Hopkin. Harness the academy. Has focus on training facilities, Plans underway for “enhanced hospitality offering and fan experience” with the land at the north terrace. His comments on Hopkin and around the fans might annoy some folk but he’s maybe just playing politics. £1.99 to listen.
  21. I’m listening to it now. about 10 minutes in. Worryingly he thought Hopkin wasn’t far away. Likes Duffy. Asked about Hughes, loves Hughes, was one of his hero’s. Not ruling anything out at the moment.
  22. I have no massive gripe with Duffy being appointed. There is the potential for something grubby going on in the background though. Either his coaching staff were complicit. Doing as they were told, knowing it wasn’t working and secretly hoping it would fail, or just keeping quiet because either way, they got paid. If things got so bad, they would shaft him and stay at the club. Or, they spent months trying and failing to show Hopkin what was apparent to everyone but him, that he was making a colossal James Hunt of everything. But he was too stubborn to see it. While being forced, North Korean style, to declare love and adoration for the deal leader. At the end of the day, if Duffy does a job then the majority of fans, me included don’t give a f**k. I have no sympathy for Hopkin. Had McCardle hung about after Kerr was sacked, snaking about telling Smith that he had great ideas and Kerr ignored him, he should be made manager, the majority of fans would have been against it. McCall was all about ego, if the team succeeds then he looks good. It works well. if Duffy has done the dirty on Hopkin (I’m not ITK) to get a full time gig and kick start his career and it works for both parties……..
  23. Not much has changed since Hopkin was hired other than Barry Ferguson, Billy Dossd and Paul Sheerin have been hired from the previous reported applicants. Asking for CVs again is a bit of a waste of time. Unless there is someone kicking their heels, coaching at an English club wanting to come back to Scotland, it’ll be Duffy or someone that has applied before.
  24. I hope this is the case, give Duffy a chance, sound out replacements, the job has been advertised twice in the last 18 months so the interested people should be well vetted so there isn’t any real need to advertise it this soon. Giving Duffy a chance, leaving it 6 weeks and then advertising it would be, in short, a massive riddy
