Apparently he is a multimillionaire as a result of his business endeavours outside of football. I think I remember reading that he owned a construction business. But yeah, at least he walked when it wasn't working. Plenty of other managers clung on way past the point when it was obvious that it wasn't going to work.

I have a mate who is a Talbot fan, and he used to laugh at the players we signed from the juniors when Shanks and the two Rabs were in charge. He said that they weren't even good junior players. Neil Watt was the most disappointing appointment definitely - given that he actually had done very well at Stranraer. He signed all his pals from Stranraer for a jolly old reunion and they didn't bother actually trying. I'd also stick my neck out and say Campbell Money was worse than Roberts. Roberts is a decent guy and was a great player for us. However, he should have never been appointed manager.

I'd rather we were VERY boring but got results than trying to play football "the right way". There is no point trying to play a style that doesn't suit us. There is no right or wrong way to play football, but there is recognising your strengths and weaknesses and adapting your playing style accordingly. Steve Clarke appears to be doing this.

I tried to play different variations of three at the back (including with wingbacks) but struggled so ended up just having a back four, with a DM in front of them. Neil Scally is superb in the DM role. He regularly gets ratings of 8+.
