I remember back in 2016 there seemed to be a common opinion online that Sanders would have won the election if he had ran instead of Clinton. I'm not convinced he would have won, but he would perhaps have been more appealing to leftwing voters than Clinton. He strikes me as a bit Corbyn-esque, in the way that he advocates alot of theoretically good ideas but doesn't have enough about him as a politician to ever get to implement the things he advocates.

I started a game with Man Utd and have adopted a geggenpressing 4-3-3 which has resulted in me not losing a competitive game yet this season (I'm in January). Highlights of my tenure so far are skelping Liverpool 4-1, beating Man City 1-0 in the league and horsing Juventus 5-1 in the Champions League group stage. As someone who was never particularly good with the in-depth tactical interface, I welcomed the addition of "styles" to use as starting points.

I didn't realise that this was in the Premiership forum when I posted, because I clicked on it when it was showing in the "recent topics" bar. Anyway, the point about there being more diddies having pulled on the black and white than anyone could ever have time to read about still stands.

Aye, but it's a total dinosaur tactic. I can imagine old coaches telling young keepers to "just boot it up the park". Keeping the ball and starting a counter by distributing it short to a teammate seems more sensible to me than just booting it up the park and giving the ball away. Maybe I've just played too much Football Manager?

I've always wondered why many keepers in Scotland just punt the ball up the park with no real purpose. Surely that's not something they're all taught to do when they've got the ball? Why not pass/roll it to the fullbacks or something?

Same. How often have we seen talented young Scottish players sign for either Rangers and Celtic and end up warming benches? I genuinely believe that Shankland will be playing for Scotland (not necessarily first-choice, but certainly in the squad) within a couple of years IF he gets to play regularly at a higher level.
