  1. It was initially a poor decision by the board to appoint Stubbs on a 3 year deal but fair play to them for acting quickly when they realised their mistake. This will give the place a huge lift!
  2. Obviously the board just don’t trust Stubbs. Clearly offered Kenny Miller a decent deal to come in but now players need to move on first before anyone else can be signed! Jim McIntyre to be appointed by the end of September is my prediction. Whoever replaces Stubbs will have a near impossible job with this shite & unbalanced squad.
  3. Very true, he’s quite clearly incapable of bringing in players that can improve the squad. I think it’s already damage limitation with how costly his appointment will be. Agreed, can’t see Stubbs being manager much longer.
  4. So we’ve missed out on another target, who we apparently pushed the boat out to sign. I think Kenny would be worth a gamble on a years contract but no chance on a 2 year deal, probably not the worst outcome on this specific target. However, the current squad are far from good enough to stay in the league... especially with a manager who’s incapable of playing our best players in their best positions. What now? My guess is Stubbs signs more sub-standard players & he will be sacked before the end of September. Winning the league last season seems years ago, fucking depressing!
  5. Based on the players we have at the moment I think Miller would be a welcome addition to our squad.
  6. Next Saturday is a massive game already, need to get a win to try & lift the morale. The player recruitment has been a disaster, Stubbs has wasted our budget on players that are simply not good enough. Really need a few quality signings in before the end of the transfer window but based on what we’ve seen so far, I have no confidence Stubbs can pull it off.
  7. I actually thought Kellerman looked half decent. Imo, looked a better option that Cooke or King. He wasn’t Stubbs’ player though so got to trust the gaffer.
  8. Christ so it’s King with the possibility of Heaton then. I agree Cooke hasn’t had much of a chance yet & he’s still trying to find his feet. Hopefully he manages to make an impact the next time he’s given then chance.
  9. I’m guessing that is Cooke with the possibility of King?
  10. Celtic The Rangers Hibs Aberdeen Hearts Kilmarnock St. Johnstone Motherwell Dundee St. Mirren Hamilton Livingston
  11. Fingers crossed we manage to sign a striker before Saturday.
  12. Agreed. Scored another hat trick tonight. Would definitely do a job & he definitely won’t be any worse than the players Stubbs has already signed.
  13. Absolutely pathetic today. The two trialists that started the game are nowhere near good enough. Stubbs needs experienced players in & pronto.
  14. Far from ideal with the season starting in 2 & a bit weeks. Need to hope the new guys hit the ground running.
  15. I heard that Stokes was supposed to be going but never showed up. I was all for him signing but if that’s the case I hope we move on to other targets.
  16. Like any saints fan, I’m gutted that Jack Ross is leaving. The job he’s done at saints over the past 18 months has been brilliant. End of the day he needs to look after himself & family he’s going to get 5 times his wages!& Sunderland are a bigger club. Unfortunately I’ve heard he’ll be coming in for Magennis but hopefully we can get a respectable transfer fee for him. Jack seems like an ambitious manager & I personally think he’s picked a good time to move to Sunderland. I wish him all the best.
  17. Not saying that won’t happen. Can’t really blame Jack for wanting to further his career at a bigger stage. This kind of opportunity may not come along that often for him. He’s a man in demand at the moment & there’s not much we can do about it.
  18. Sunderland are interested. Jack goes on holiday tomorrow so can’t see anything happening imminently. Seemingly Jack is in no rush to leave St. Mirren but time will tell.
  19. Would obviously be very disappointed if Jack leaves but could hardly blame him taking a job like that. He has a family to take care of & the money/opportunity would be too good to refuse, imo. He’s a very talented young manager & it’s inevitable he will move on to bigger & better things eventually. Fingers crossed we get another season from him.
  20. Pretty sure we charged The Rangers £26 on their last visit a couple of seasons ago. I can understand why folk in the south stand being pissed off about it but it makes financial sense & adds to the seasons budget.
  21. Well done to Jack Ross. Thoroughly deserved for the job he’s done in the last 18 months.
