So Vaughan is away. He was hopeless. What was Bomber thinking? And he have replaced him with a player from Albion Rovers, who has a problem with his registration (thankfully?). What is Colin thinking?
Looks like we are pinning our hopes on Andy Munro keeping us up.
But it’s all Ok cos we beat Falkirk and drew with Aberdeen.0 -
PS after all the euphoria of last weekend, are we actually going to sign anyone?

Would have liked him back here for another season but not sure he was ready for the championship. He is another year older though so who knows

Flip. Had hoped he hadn’t been in that team. Oh well, let’s see what he has to offer. Squad filler I presume.

Welcome aboard Andy Munro. Good news.

And I don't think he is cup tied with Forfar.

New signing tonight. Some talk about Andy Munro from Forfar which would be good if true .

Sounds like an encouraging signing. As the man says, a centre half next, and soon

4 of the 5 goals came from him being out of position, more or less
No they didn’t. The 5 th goal yes.0 -
That was pretty horrific today. Could have been much, much worse. As if it wasn’t bad enough. We have got to get a centre half in to partner Morgyn Neil, and we have got to do it soon. But we have known this for a long time so I’d hope that we have candidate(s) identified. Disagreed with the timing of Bomber’s sacking but to replace him with Colin seemed like folly at the time and still looks that way. We are still in touch with BrEchin and Dumbo but we can’t keep expecting them to lose next week. Arbroath next week. God help us.

McBrearty is available for tomorrow. Red card rescinded.
That makes 14 available for tomorrow including two goalies and the “player” manager.
It’s as if the transfer window came as a surprise at Stenhousemuir.
Is Scott Lochead with a club?1 -
O’Hara away too

Reckon we only have 13 players available including 2 keepers.

Stuart Balmer is the new assistant manager.

Adrian Sprott is the player on the LHS. Is that not Jimmy Fisher with the bandage?

McMenamin it is. I’m surprised.

That was the 2nd time this season we’ve scored 4 in one game. The other one was against Albion Rovers.

12 minutes ago, Dundee Hibernian said:
That, for me, seals the issues with Falkirk.
I'm thinking several players have their boots on the wrong feet: could anyone confirm?
Went to the game and have to say it was very enjoyable. Maybe a boy who is able to play in goals would make a difference to Falkirk, as Fasan's ineptitude can't give much confidence to the players in front of him. And I'm sure many of the players are better than they looked today.
I don't think it possibly helps the fragility of the players' thoughts that Ray McKinnon reportedly says he wants to bring in a huge squad of replacements in January.
For Stenhousemuir, Harry Cochrane was very impressive, but for a team at the bottom of the third level, they collectively were very good.
I hope they can get a couple of places higher in their league, and think they should on that display.
Harry Paton

Tragically, Robert Rowan, who was our Sporting Director for a short period of time, has died aged only 28.
He was involved at Brentford after he left Stenhousemuir and seemed to be making a name for himself in the game.

Brown Ferguson?

Funnily enough as I left Ochilview on Saturday I did wonder/worry about his future.
He is a great guy and I think everyone around the club will be sorry to see him go. He had some really tough things to deal when the club was in real peril a couple of seasons ago.1 -
Chris Smith has signed for East Kilbride.

There were very few supporters present so it is difficult to discuss something with yourself. The Managers Fund has been raised in the past but never got off the ground. I think we now have a full time member of staff whose remit is, amongst other things, increase cash coming in to the club. So we have someone who can devote time to initiatives like this. The Managers Fund is purely optional - any money raised that goes to Bomber is better than nothing. No surprise, Harry Paton won't be coming cheap, for example. £10,000 was a number I used for illustrative purposes, but this amount of money would get, I would imagine, two players. I am not privy to the player budget but I would guess it represents about 10% of the total.
The good thing about this is that it is easy to contribute and that the proceeds are clearly visible. Adding £2 to the gate just gets merged with all other cash coming into the club, and there would be a degree of effort required to separate the cash raised. Visiting fans also wouldn't want to contribute to our player budget.
Regardless, I know for a fact that Jamie would be delighted to hear from you, or anyone else, with any other initiatives or support that can be offered.

Agree about Bomber. I think we are lucky to have him. He obviously has the club at heart. Certainly a degree of optimism about the place but need to start winning some games.
They are to start a Managers Fund where supporters are encouraged to contribute a monthly amount into a ring fenced account. All proceeds to be spent on players. Hopefully there will be a good uptake. 100 fans donating £100 a year = £10,000 which would be significant in the context of the overall budget. I expect there will be details on the website shortly. Spread the word.0

I am sure there will be someone come in but we gave gotten ourselves in a pretty brural position. I think we potentially only have 11 fit players for Tuesday + Jesus. For all the excuses about the difficulty of getting players in, it's quite a lamentable position to be in.
