  1. Hyde looked decent when he broke through but the last few times I seen him play he was like headless chicken that thought the ball was a live grenade. I don’t doubt he’s a lovely lad but don’t think he’s quite upto Championship standard imo
  2. You’ve probably mentioned before but what sort of punishment do students get for stuff like this? Do they get off lightly if they own upto it?
  3. I go to mine because my boss pays for absolutely everything until he leaves. Managed a good 6/7 pints and a 3 course meal out of him this year. It was also on a Wednesday so done 2 hours of “work” in the morning then went for the train. My pal works for the NHS, has to pay for his night out and his department has theirs on a Saturday night (they work Mon-Fri). I wouldn’t be going to that
  4. Group work was always a nightmare Pairs is doable but any group you typically end up with someone who can’t be fucked (good experience for working life I suppose). Might be different at postgraduate level tbf
  5. To get it right up his current employers, he could take the final couple weeks off with stress/bad back/any other ailments you can think of
  6. I had to make a poster on my dissertation as my last ever bit of coursework and very much enjoyed it. Dunno if that’s a common thing for every uni. Broke up the monotony after having to write essay after essay for years For the benefit of your future students, please avoid anything group related
  7. Brian Graham to get his customary 2 goals against us. Merry Christmas
  8. Maybe Derek Adams has a point, that was a piss poor 90 minutes
  9. Aberdeen need to find a new set piece taker, Clarksons delivery has been fucking hopeless
  10. Did Graeme Shinnie do a 10k this morning? Looks like he’s running through treacle
  11. I can only really remember Bullen pitching up at Falkirk when he was 35/36ish so can’t comment on how good he was I agree with most of your list but I’d be tempted to put Imrie above McCabe possibly? Imrie played in the premier league/premiership for us, St Mirren and Hamilton. Whereas McCabe played 40 times for Sheff Wed in the English championship and the rest of his career was in Scottish champ, league 1 and league of Ireland.
  12. I had varying experiences in my time at uni with marking. I had one lecturer who was the strictest marker in the department, me and a pal got the highest marks on her course and got 63 and 61 respectively. Another one of my lecturers I reckon I could’ve submitted a steaming pile of dug shite and she’d have managed to grade it at least a C. She was that generous
  13. I know Inverness is in the north but how long do you boys think it takes to get from Inverness to Glasgow?
  14. This for me was a big annoyance on Tuesday, we were pretty pish most of the second half and we didn’t make a sub til about 75 minutes. I don’t think Dunc was allowed to communicate with the bench so that might be why. But as you say though, the quality on the bench just isn’t there. Lodovica, Sheridan and even Brooks (although the latter has potential) are all not at Championship standard. Wonder if we might see any Everton loanees in January
  15. Aye Wotherspoon has definitely made a difference, even though it was only about 2/3 years ago I constantly forget Scott Allan played for us The leagues that tight you put 2/3 wins together in a row and you’ll jump 4/5 places in the table. Big window incoming as you say and for me securing 8ths the first priority for this season before we get any grand ideas
  16. Very telling of the mindset of the commentator when the first reaction to Hearts scoring from a free kick is “soft free kick”
  17. Aye I was just using the reasons specific to us, but I’m sure weather and time of year were a factor too 1 game doesn’t define the season, we had 1 point from 6 games before he arrived and we’ve taken 15 points from 10 since then. There’s no doubt in my mind we’ve improved. Once the windows open and hopefully add some quality we’ll be more consistent
  18. We have improved undoubtably since jug ears left. However, the appointment of a new manager isn’t going to immediately make folk flock to buy a half season ticket.
  19. In the overall context it’s not hard to see why. Last season was our worst league finish in 20 odd years. We re-signed Dodds. We let Dodds sign some pretty uninspiring shite. The actual experience in the stadium is guff, catering etc leaves a lot to be desired. There was quite a lot of resentment over the summer/last few years as to what John Robertson was actually doing to justify his hefty salary. A combination of the above means many folk didn’t buy season tickets this year Not ideal
