No SPFL meeting today and no further comment from Doncasters Diddies Telephone conversation with Bohemians is their answer
Great factual interview with Darren Young on BBC radio

My understanding is the referee was Welsh. You just can't make this up

and if you have no alternatives to play a soccer match then im afraid the SFA should be in east fife's favour of progression to the last four of the tournament and as a scottish tournament altoghter with Bohemians sadly not be re-vited after todays shambolic attemps with the scottish season three months to a close. I dont see them planning to swap a irish team to play in scotland having being tied at home in orginial outcome of the draw was made. All we can do is wait for Monday outcome between FAI v SFA on the matter for the good of the Irn Bru cup!!!Please note, the gate price was refunded BEFORE we left the stadium yesterday. Not sure if they had to,but they did!
They did have too but initially said they weren't. The game hadn't started so legally they were obliged .So let's not praise what was a requirement reluctantly given. They were still taking admission money at 2.55pm that is wrong and indicative of a bunch of amateurs.

Will we play many league games in Feb as we've got Bohemians Ross County and Partick to play

What are great team we have. All credit to the manager and staff. It's a bit unfair to single out any one player. But Darryl Meggat is the best player in the 1st Division what a player

It's a bad scenario, but I've heard about the board and the supporters. What about a bit of consideration for the players. They're the guys who have got us to where we are. And crap like withdrawing or it's a diddy cup quite honestly piss me off. Anyone who has played football wants to win something even the Fife Cup. So have a wee bit of respect for the players and back their wishes

Sorry but no way will fielding a weakened team work for me. There will be an interest from more spectators because of our recent run. Let's not disrespect new fans or indeed our own players.im quite sure all the players who have got us in this position would want to play

Excellent performance from the whole team. They work hard and for each other. Good to see Chris Kane getting a run. Meggat is outstanding and him and Kane work well. Courts and Dowds really soften up defences and Watson and Slattery really good getting forward. The midfield are tireless. Well worth the 350 mile round trip

As you may have seen last week we've signed Ben Mckenzie on a short-term deal after an injury to Scott Gallacher. By the looks of things, Gallacher could be out for the season so there's a good chance Mckenzie will feature at some point. I don't recall ever seeing him play before how was when he played for EF? Good enough for this level?
No

It was Ryan's mistake that let us back into the game. We were awful until then absolutely dross. There was no shape and Meggat at centre half not useful. I'm sorry but McBride is not an answer. I fear for Saturday

Craig Thomson has been poor? I thought he’s been good, his pace is electric flying past guys.
He’s also a winger so pat going to right wing isn’t really going to work.Flying past guys going where and doing what?

Looking at that team. The manager has a serious headache choosing his squad.
I would swap Pat for Ross Davidson.
But at some point going to have Linton and Docherty back so would take Watson out, move Meggatt and Dunlop to the right and then put one of Linton and Doc in left back.
Striker wise too if they come out flying and the manager is looking to add a striker or two who’s he gonna take out if they are performingDavidson has been the best player we had in the friendlies Thomson has been poor so I would put Pat in instead of him

Only trialist was Kyle I think his name is Bell. Poor game Slattery and Kane came on and thankfully we started to look a bit better. Team needs time to settle into a lot of new players finding their feet. However I do hope the centre of defence Improves

A think it boils down to the fact we’re probs one of the most unattractive clubs in the division, Darren young adds to that he couldn’t inspire a 5 year old, i can imagine him trying to persuade a player to sign. And a think the fact the club has no direction or ambition/plan will hardly inspire any players, seems to me like we’re the half way shop for players that are on there way out of the game at this level, and players that can’t get a club
You seem to have an insight of the club plans and ambition we are lucky at East Fife to have someone with so much knowledge

With the exception of Agnew & Meggatt this squad of players have been assembled on the cheap.
If you’d told any Fife fan 2 months ago that we’d be signing players from a relegated Albion Rovers, a player from an EoS team, a player who couldn’t get a game for a struggling Forfar team, a keeper who was unimpressive with Elgin, a distanced 3rd place League 2 Stenhousmuir Player & an untested raw reserve Raith player as 1st choice striker the Fife fans should’ve been furious but we’ve had comments of ‘excellent signings’ & ‘really happy with our transfer dealings’.
This squad may well gel & work great as a unit but the majority of signings finished below us in the League.
The players we retained I’d say Dunsmore Docherty & Linton are good enough, Watson & Kane are woeful with the ball at feet & are at best bench warmers.
Young’s tactics, formations & ability to eradicate errors will be well scrutinised this season.
Hopefully I’m wrong but I see a relegation assembled team here.I take it you have watched these guys in our friendlies? Or are you a keyboard manager?

It would be a pity to waste a wage on McBride he couldn't get a game at his last club and they were pretty poor.

If that's been confirmed then fair enough but I have my doubts. Spence was hardly getting a look in towards the end of the season so I'm suspecting Smith didn't rate him. If the striker we've agreed terms with turns out to be Duggan it was alleged other full time teams were after him, would be surprised if we couldn't afford Spence but can somehow afford Duggan.
Believe me you would have been far better with Spence than Duggan
