  1. Quite disappointed with that post-match reaction. We did deserve to lose that.
  2. That was a relief. Fair to say we were uninspiring today. How much of that was down to a good EF game plan though? Again. They do what they do very well (Gus would be proud), but that was quite awful to sit and watch. Agree with the comments about McBride.
  3. Seems to me that's very good news for Clyde. Despite what you may say about his recruitment (under constraints), he seems to create much more than the sum of parts. I've wondered if Falkirk would have fallen so far with DL in charge.
  4. He was the best loanee I can remember. Close to the finished article when he was with us. Josh Doig a standout too.
  5. I'm not that down about dropping the points today. It's another step towards the playoffs, although Airdrie fans will be more gutted. Unbeaten by Cove this season with a win and three draws, but today we were the better team all over the park, and a draw doesn't really reflect that. Again we were wasteful in front of goal, but don't remember many chances from Cove. Will need to see the penalty claim again, but looked like nothing to me. All round good performance, esp Connell, Fox and Bob. Smith was very good too but was cut down every time. Championship winning teams find a way to rescue the points!
  6. Looks like Cambuslang Rangers won their league yesterday. Wonder if Scott Williamson is free to join us for the remaining games.
  7. I do like listening to him: 'I tried to read the rules at half time, and it seems we couldn't substitute them all', and 'no, the only positive to take from that was the performance of a 16 yo in his first start'. Exciting times for Queen's Park, but as commented by Mr. November, a very boring season. It's clear to see we have no threat up front, and from the manner of today's defending, I do wonder if we have anything to build on for next season? I expected Airdrie to tail off after McInroy left, and they picked up a few injuries, but they are in fact even better, and pretty much strolled it this afternoon. Our heaviest defeat of the season?
  8. Is there ever an appointment made when this doesn't happen? The reality of the lower divisions is that nobody joins any club with a sustained unblemished record of success.
  9. Was there not also an agreement that the regular President's Update would resume?
  10. I really don't get it. After the last presentation I was prepared to accept the Covid line, and that certain things couldn't be said for contractual reasons. But despite the unambiguous message from the fans, and the assurances given, it seems there is an on-going black-out and disregard for the current fanbase. I thought maybe I was over-reacting because of the frustrating football, but it's appalling to hear of this from the contractor's tweet. There are maybe reasons why we can't hear of progress with the park, a new hybrid pitch, the situation with the Firhill contract, lack of manager, the January window, and should be grateful to know we have a sponsorship with Big-Bobble Hats.
  11. This seems just a jumble of words. What exactly are you saying? East Fife are the worst team in the league by league position, and we haven't beaten them with the resources we have. Pretty much what the QP fans are saying, Hardly Billy Big-time from 'queens supporters'.
  12. Three times I've seen EF this season, and to be honest they don't look the worst team in the league. Perhaps we just play to their strengths. Having no serious goal threat means we have spells of attractive passing football that don't amount to much. We also have spells in every game where we look totally rattled (the first 20 mins today we were shocking). BridgeofWeirdo is right with his comments, Brown's goal was wonderful, but that is fifteen draws. We are consistently inconsistent. Stating the obvious maybe to say we should be doing better than this, but today is the turning point for me in realising fully that it's too big a re-build required to even contemplate sneaking up through the play-offs. Promotion this season is not only unlikely, but undesirable.
  13. Agree with all this. Ferrie generates a lot of confidence commanding his area. Agree also with the recent comments on Robson's effectiveness. Substitutions and change of shape were spot on, and showed boldness going with McBride and Quitongo together. If they can find a way of playing together then Darcy, Brown and Connell could be formidable.
  14. I would agree with this, and the assessment by qpfc and Arachnophile. Connell is the favoured playmaker, and it sidelines Brown into an ineffective role. Connell is undoubtedly a talent, but not the finished product. Gillespie for me just doesn't cut it in League 1. I'd welcome Davidson and Thomson getting a run.
  15. Been here before I think. Great strike from Fox, but this game module where we dick about in our own box on a pitch like that is nuts.
  16. Yes, I've just assumed we won't see Murray or Baynham, and worry about Grant too.
  17. Yeah I think may have been a previous report, but I don 't think he's recovered from the ankle knock he took at Airdrie in December. I had also wondered about Darren Lyon, but I think he was finally mentioned on the injury list too. It seems Grant and maybe Longridge were fit, then not-fit?
  18. I guess we may never know, but I'm not so quick to write him off. I thought he was a good footballer, with both height and pace, and coming on to a game at just the right time in his career. Remember he only got occasional runs in the team with the manager favouring others, but did very well when asked. It's bold to say he wouldn't improve our team. For what it's worth, I think our team at the end of last season would defeat our current one, both on ability and desire.
  19. Watching it again I see now it was dive from DGW, but a very good one. Not something I like to see, but it's part of the game like it or not. We used to have a player that was good at 'drawing fouls' in the box. The panic when he gets the ball though is clear to see. It's also clear to see where our problems lie, and time now probably, as Mission says, to consider what players will be part of the plan for next season. Going up through the play-offs or even reaching them I think is now beyond this squad, and I don't see much point in rash commitment in the January window without a manager, or if it doesn't fit a longer-term plan.
  20. This is more open communication than we have come to expect, both on squad availability and signing intent. It doesn't take much, and although it's not detailed, it's probably all we need, and encouraging.
  21. Good thinking. I'm just delighted with some speculation.
