  1. I fully understand why Cowden fans are upset at QP's good fortune and success Brazilnuts.
  2. Yes all three assists were excellent. Really hope Baynham gets the run he deserves and we can keep hold of him.
  3. Can you share the press release? The one I saw doesn't really suggest this at all. It says.. “Given that there are a number of uncertainties, including whether League 2 clubs will play 22 or 18 games this season, we are not in a position to announce dates for Pyramid Play-Off ties this season. This doesn't seem to have changed from what we already understood. The only thing it actually says is under review is the pyramid play-offs.
  4. To be fair, all they did was reference the chat on P&B. I haven't seen anything other than sensible rotation. I watched the stream last night and thought The Warriors passed the ball about well, but really quite taken aback at how ineffective Cowdenbeath were.
  5. You're right. I think it's just been a crappy 12 months trying to guess what was going to happen next, being shut down in January, with the whole of P&B mewling about Null-and-Void, and in a season when we actually have something to be excited about.
  6. Yes that date doesn't look achievable given the farmhouse and pavilion work too. With a plan in place I still think there isn't more than 12 to16 weeks in the construction element.
  7. If the ground preparation work is complete, and there is a design specification and steelwork fabricated, then there is more than enough time to complete construction of both stands before the start of the season. I suspect any delay would be down to re-tendering and contractor selection (if re-setting is the case). As has been said by others, getting to a court case stage would be very last resort, and as time goes on, the outcome loses value for both parties.
  8. Me neither, but I think he is a quality player and has been really effective after his initial appearances. Great positioning, and one of our top goal scorers!
  9. The preview says : On the squad front the gaffer confirmed that he has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game and is likely to have the same squad at his disposal to what he had at Cliftonhill midweek. Since Murray and Robson are not injured (as far as we know), is it the case that they were rested at Coatbridge, and he still has the 'same squad at his disposal'?
  10. No excuse for having that poor a service at this stage in the season. It is quite faithful to the Cliftonhill experience though. Gallagher and Kidd have been good for Rovers. Lovely goal by Connell, but some shocking lack of sharpness by others up front.
  11. Good highlights. Makes a few things more clear: > QP should have made more of the opportunities in front of goal > First goal og? > Brechin number 16 one to watch > The red card that I thought was a bit innocuous was well deserved. What was the big number 10 thinking?
  12. Comfortable enough win, and good to rotate the squad. Nice work by Quitongo and great run by McHugh for the first. Second half difficult to watch, but we saw it out with no scares apart from Kilday hobbling off. The injury list looks to be Kilday, Robson, Carroll, Slater and Murray. Maybe Murray and Robson rested? It would be good to know the extent and progress of the injuries, and you wonder what is the worst that could happen if we were told.
  13. QP's most assured performance this season maybe. Canice Carroll is just so consistently effective, hopefully just a strain. Would be good to get him signed up for next season (unless he is already). Murray looking sharp too.
  14. Yes, would be good to see some defensive options. I would prefer Morrison as a midfielder than cover for full backs.
  15. I wasn't aware of this. I only saw a fairly robust statement from the 20 clubs emphasising a collective desire to play football. It's only really on P&B I've detected any persistent will to scrap the season (The Sun and Record flying a kite doesn't count - right?).
  16. 22 games from 20th March....if an extension can be accommodated. Scottish League 1 & 2 clubs united on 22-game season starting on 20 March - BBC Sport
  17. Thanks. He cant be any worse than our (non existant) midfield. Surely?! From what I saw of him, I thought he was a really tidy player. Versatile, good delivery of free kicks and corners, and experienced with positioning and covering. As others have said, not much to go on though.
  18. That was a stroll for QoS. They were quite impressive and well organised, while QP were particularly poor. Spider67 sums up our performance well, and it's pretty obvious our midfield is set up for holding and not for linking up with forwards. Hopefully this, and the unimpressive performance against Bluebell asks enough questions to correct things enough. Quite a lot of ill will for the 'project', and I think we need to prepare to be the next Clyde of the forum. Hopefully it finally stops others claiming we are a Championship quality side. Certainly a group of players assembled to get us to League 1. Jobbers maybe, if that's what it means. I do think we would need to strengthen if we get to League 1 and have aspirations of challenging. All the best to QoS in the next round.
  19. I would agree with this. Not the fastest, but knows the ropes, positionally sound, and will organise around him.
  20. I agree with you. I don't think QP are a Championship quality side, and I think I leave all that swaggering talk to you guys. I'd be comfortable to make it to League 1 as a first step. From watching a lot of the highlights through the leagues, I think you are probably wise to cling to that result against us at the beginning of the season as proof that you are indeed a Championship team. It sets up a nice contest for us both. I admire your confidence.
  21. Yes, in the first half at least I felt we conceded the midfield by playing Carrol and Gillespie together trying to link up with the forward line using the diagonal ball. Edinburgh also pressed high and prevented our fullbacks get forward and make up for a big gap in our midfield. I think the change worked well, although I'm keen to see Slater start. Hoping that Grant's ok. He's important for us, but he does look like he's been carrying an injury all season, and before.
