The planning consent you’re looking for is in here. Still at Granted status, since December 2021. Because of not building it in tandem with the south stand, there will be significant additional costs for a site establishment (site huts etc) plus a high probability of a crane access being required to lift material into the ground from the outside.

Yup, the was the source of my other post.

  2. As far as I can see, the plans for the south stand (Letherby Drive) are still live.  Clearly some alterations were made to this application but I can't find any link to the amendments.

The saddest thing about the entire episode is that Sam got more (still next to hee-haw) information about future plans etc than the club have deigned to share with us mere punters.

Fair play to him but just got me up to new levels of annoyance at the missed opportunity that Lesser is.

Yup, it's amazing we get more info from a vlogger than we do from the club. Things need to change on the communication front.

Was there ever any update of the Supporters Liaison Officer posts?

Agree. I was left thinking on Saturday just how much more the players seem to enjoy playing at Lesser, whatever our many misgivings about it. Their record there is pretty strong.

Without re-litigating the whole Lesser fiasco, I enjoyed the fans being closer to the players and the action, and I suspect they do too.

Totally agree. Much better to be closer to the action (maybe not the front two rows for me though) and maximum effort should be made to complete(!) Lesser. A decent West Stand built around the royal box is workable although that would need to be raised rather than the seats going down to trackside (a bit like Hamilton's stands). The two ends can follow at a later date although a terracing at the Letherby Drive end is not outwith possibilities.

Three Celtic youth games at Lesser, on top of the Scotland training sessions, while the women’s team play at Stenny. Time to rip up both these agreements and find alternative income streams. No other club on the planet would prioritise two other football teams over their own.

I realise it must be nice for people within the club to meet Brendan Rodgers, Scott McTominay etc. but they’ve had their fun. Our club and our teams have to come first at all times. We used to be fairly well respected across Scottish football, but the attitude is now something between disdain and laughing stock. It’s all down to how we conduct our business. It’s so demeaning and I find it hard to believe that people within the club can’t see that.

It's an appalling way to treat the club. We have a a part built , inadequate stadium, we are playing at someone else's ground, and there appears to be no plan to build a fit for purpose stadium for the first team. What we have is not able to be used by the women's team although the B team seem to be settled at Lochinch. Just what is Lesser Hampden for - can we sell it to Celtic/Scotland and build a stadium for ourselves?

What are our committee actually doing on this matter? What's the long term plan?

  6. Four weeks ago I would have said 4-0 to Thistle but after a strange start to the season, I think it will be a narrow 2-1 win for Queens. Not sure what's happened to the jags so far this season but I do hope their poor form continues for one more game. They're welcome to stuff Ayr the following week though. I still think Thistle will be there or thereabouts for the playoffs at the end of the season so maybe we're meeting them at a good point.  Then again, a strong bounce back by them can't be ruled out.

I was worried about the Queens defence at the start of the season but I think Davidson has done well in building a fairly decent group of defenders.  Also, Zac Rudden with three goals so far in the league is performing above my expectations - long may that continue!

So, a good game in prospect and it could go either way - but I'll stick with a QP win.

Not read the whole article, but the fact that you've described Cillian Sheridan as a failed signing when he probably contributed more than anyone towards keeping us up in the second half of last season is absolutely wild.

They seem to have edited the 'poor signing' of Cillian Sheridan to the equally uninformed "Cillian Sheridan (who Queen’s were unable to keep a hold of despite his contribtuions (sic))"

    Dear oh dear lads!

So the Edinburgh City game is on the Sunday for unspecified reasons.

Saw someone suggest that Scotland might be training there on the Saturday…….meaning we still have to live up to our side of the “Hampden deal” 😅

That's a pain. I was coming down for the Scotland game on the Thursday and staying until Sunday - won't manage to hang around for the game though. This home ground nonsense has got to end!
