I saw this on the SFA suspensions list. I don't know if these are concurrent or consecutive suspensions.
10/12/2018 499620 - JACK STORER (PARTICK THISTLE F.C.) 2 SPFL RESERVE LEAGUE MATCHES IMMEDIATE AND 3
SPFL RESERVE LEAGUE MATCHES FROM 24/12/2018They are consecutive so he can't play reserve football until March.

Not really, it's only reserve league fixtures he misses so he can still play first team football if selected.

in relation to fitness - something I may have missed from the OS and don't have a twitter, but who's replaced Junior Mendes?
Carlos Valenzuela Sanchez is our new head of Sports Science. It was mentioned in the written preview ahead of the Falkirk game - https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-fixture/falkirk-v-partick-thistle-17th-november-2018/#match-preview

What is the point of Miles Storey?
Still think getting him and Conor Sammon on the last day of last season's transfer window had the feel of Archie wanting only one of them.
And then having to take the two of them because of the way the negotiations went.
Archie hadn't a clue how to integrate Dools, Sammon and Storey into anything consistent, meaningful or effective last season.
The obvious interpretation, I will leave to the reader.
We didn't sign Storey and Sammon on the last day of the window. We signed them both on Friday 11th August.

I haven't got round to adding the midweek points in yet - I think the Thistle v United ones went in on the 13th - will check and insert them into that week's tally(so you'll only get points if you had them that week)

Not sure what your last sentence means.
We don’t know whether Aiden’s call up was known about by the club before they rearranged the game. It was rearranged when Archibald was still in charge so Aidan wouldn’t have played anyway.
Aidan wasn't called up until 25th September with the game re-arranged on the 11th September when both sides went out of the Irn-Bru Cup.

And yet again what will it take for someone to start Fitzpatrick! Do we see someone absolutely different from everyone else? He’s been our best player so far this season ? A talented lad who will take on the defender every time.
Aidan Fitzpatrick has been in Spain all week playing for the Scotland under 18 side against Uzbekistan and France. He did not arrive back in Scotland until 1:15pm on Saturday afternoon.

Thought this deserved a bump.
I demand to know how far down the league I've slipped after my incredible start, @South Lanarkshire Jag!
(I'll now be over in the corner sweating in case something bad is happening in South Lanarkshire Jag's life and I'm hassling him about fantasy football updates).
This week's scores will be updated today - sorry I'd let it slip over the weekend but will be back to form this weekend.
I'll update this thread when I add scores

I see Coulibaly has been removed from the twitter header photo / season ticket ad.
The inclusion of Coulibaly in the past, present, future graphic was only ever intended to be used in relation to his signing, so I wouldn't read too much into it. Who knows, a new signing might sneak into another image shortly before being announced...

You don't need to play him 90 minutes every week. He could have gotten 30 minutes on Saturday instead of another shit repeat of the Blair Spittal show, but because the reserves and youths are a mess also, we're shoehorning him in there. He's miles ahead of these boys and he's at more risk of being injured there as evidence against players a step behind him with mistimed tackles.
Fitzpatrick isn't being shoehorned into anything. He didn't play on Saturday, alongside Callum Wilson and Jamie Sneddon, so all three played a part on Monday. In my personal opinion, at 17 years old Fitzpatrick needs to be playing every week - regardless of first team or reserves(that's a separate debate)
I'd also dispute the "reserves and youths are a mess". We clearly weren't going to sign a squad of 18 players for the sole use of the reserve side. We'll use the first team players that need gametime/didn't play on the Saturday, the modern apprentices and the under 18 side. The regulations don't permit anyone under the age of 16, so a number of youngsters can't play yet this season having made a number of Dev League appearances last season.

Loving this so far, SLJ. Just a suggestion, could a potential feature be to show the fixtures for the upcoming gameweek on the site? Maybe when you click on a player it shows who they play next? This is a handy feature on the BPL fantasy league. Not sure how easy it is for you to add functionality and it may not even be possible but worth asking.
Cheers.Would love to do that, but the functionality isn't there at the moment

Afaik, they haven’t done anything like this before. Their original action was to clear our bank debt, and since then they’ve been funding the youth academy to the tune of roughly £750k a year (apparently).
It's actually been £200k/£250k on a per year basis. The funding announcements have generally covered several years at a time.
1 hour ago, KelvindaleJag said:It seems to have slipped under the radar here that the post of Lead Physiotherapist is being advertised, without any of the usual niceties over the previous incumbent (contributed to the club's progress, best wishes for the future, etc.). Maybe an optimistic announcement about Coulibaly ("subject to international clearance", i.e. it's not yet a done deal - very unusual for the club's announcements about signings) is being used to obscure that action is being taken after the previous season's disastrous medical record.
We didn't put any niceties in our job advert for development squad physio when both Ryan Wilkie and Ross Anderson left. Or when we changed Commercial Manager last summer. Or in the advert for Chief Exec(although obviously there was the stand alone announcement due to the nature of where Ian Maxwell was headed and the SFA were unveiling him). The current advert for a Lead Physiotherapist is as the result of the current incumbant handing in his notice having been offered a better paying job.
The line "subject to international clearance/subject to SFA approval" is a standard in every signing we've made this summer, and over the last few I imagine without going back. It's pretty standard - for example when we signed Mutombo we could not have received clearance due to his previous Club going bust and it potentially being tough to find officials from that Club to verify documentation.

Scores have now been updated. Team "Pars" leads the way on 111points, with Ivan Golac XI just a point behind. KDXI and Cheer Up Bobby Williamson are on 109. The top 8 are all within 10 points of the leader.
Top players of the week:
Goalkeepers: Mark Ridgers, Ross Doohan, Ryan Scully - 8pts
Defenders: James Penrice - 8pts
Midfielders: Chris Millar - 15pts
Strikers: Stephen Dobbie, Louis Longridge - 7pts
With no games next Saturday, and gameweeks occuring every Saturday, you could make a free transfer before next Saturday and get another free one between the 18th and 25th.

Fitzpatrick is ready for the first team, far superior player to Spittal imo.
Eh?
I didn't say that Fitzpatrick wasn't ready for the first team. I used him as a comparison with Duncanson as they are both the same age - 17.
I'm not really sure the point you are trying to make?

Remember you have until noon tomorrow to make any transfers you wish.
The first is free, the rest are -5 points

17 year old right back Lee Duncanson away on loan to Albion Rovers - another right back coming in or irrelevant as he would be nowhere near the first team squad at any point this season?
I don't think Lee is quite there yet in terms of playing for the first team in the same way that Aidan Fitzpatrick is. He was supposed to go on loan to Arthurlie last season but an SFA rule meant he wouldn't have been able to play for the Dev Squad. The loan spell to Rovers could be the best thing to happen to him if he can get regular games and get a bit of confidence from playing competitive first team football.

Did Doyle play for QOS yesterday? Sure I seen his name in the lineup but never got any points for him. Maybe I’m wrong.
HIi CC52 FFC.
Michael Doyle did start earning two points, but he also conceded two goals which lost him two points making his sum total - 0
Hope this helps,
SLJ
ETA: If you click on a player in your team it takes you through to a week by week of his points so you can see what he got and what he lost.

I can remember a game against Partick Thistle where I think we came back from 3-0 down to steal an unlikely point that we didn't deserve. I can't remember the specifics but I do remember running about the terrace like a crazy man celebrating as if we had won the Champions League, not drawn an inconsequential game of football.
I'm fairly sure it was also against Thistle that we nearly blew a 4-0 lead with the match ending 4-3. If it had gone on any longer we would have almost certainly go on to draw or even lose that one.
Both of the above may have been during Ian McCall's tenure at Thistle but I'm not certain. Rather than look it up and be accused of cheating I will leave it to SD to fill in the blanks.
The only other notable home comeback that springs to mind was in our Division 2 season. I think it was against Arbroath we were 1-0 down at half time and had had Durnan sent off. The second half display was as good as I have seen from us and I'm sure we went on to win 4-1 or 5-1. I'm not sure coming back from one down should even be in this discussion but it was a memorable game and worth revisiting!
From memory, the 3-0 to 3-3 game was around February 2010(?) Graeme Shepherd was in goal and never ever recovered his confidence from the game. It was Allan Johnston(I think) who grabbed the third to spark a head in hands moment for the Thistle support and #scenes in the home end.
The 4-3 game was the Dick Campbell era - January 2007. We had been battered than we scored three in quick succession before, I think, hitting the post in the dying embers sparking a head in hands moment for the Thistle support and #scenes in the home end.

I think so? Not sure i understand the question, but 30 odd teams in the league (i think we’re up to 36 just now), and each player can be on 3 teams in the league.
Does everyone's ranking go into the one big league, meaning that only the top 8 out of all 33(or however many) qualify for playoffs?
Rather than the division set up as in previous years?

I’ll start the draft on the 6th (this coming monday), so last chance for any other signups
looking like we’ll have 3 copies of each player with current numbers (barring a late surge of signups over the weekend). So essentially3 11 team leagues mushed together
Recommend taking a look at scoring and lineups before drafting
Haud on - so we're having a 33 team league with 3 full rosters available to pick from?

In my Colchester game, I broke the FFP rules of the EPL a couple of seasons back. After having a mid-January fire sale firing out my top earners(I had a GK earning £125K a week for Colchester! ) I eventually broke it by under £2m. My punishment was a fine so makes me regret not pushing on more in the league. I think I finished 6th but I was definitely challenging.
I had Ryan Cassidy in my Col U save between 2025-2027. I signed him when I had just been relegated from the EPL to the Championship on the basis of his 23 and 12 goals in the preceding two years. He scored 9 in the Champ. I got promoted and he scored 1 in the Prem. Cost me £22m and sold for £5. Currently playing out his tits in Italy with Roma in 2032.
