  1. Yes, UEFA know less about their competitions than you. It's bizarre how desperate you've been to troll Saints fans since you're side was brushed aside last week.
  2. Scotland don't have to qualify for the Qualifiers. He's just going off what UEFA state, the "Qualifiers" are stated as being Group Stage Qualifying games, not qualifying games for the tournament. It's not a hard thing to understand, but I understand why Dundee fans are so desperate to ignore that, as its literally all they have to cling on to. UEFA list us as having appeared in the Europa. https://www.uefa.com/teamsandplayers/teams/club=64249/profile/history/index.html
  3. What do you need? We've got a right back, a central midfielder, a central attacking midfielder and two strikers, who are young and likely available to be loaned.
  4. Yeah, as I say, 1000 is incredibly optimistic. It's hard to explain but there's a buzz about this Saints team there's hasn't been for a while, we've got a brand new young attack which seems to be firing, and there's a lot of optimism. If we can manage good results in the preceeding league games, that hype will be ramped right up, and Saints fans are a sucker for away days when they're excited.
  5. Well yes. We've watched our club spend a decade as one of the best clubs in the country, had numerous European away days and enjoyed a major trophy win. Are you expecting me to be absolutely beeling we never won the league three decades before I was born?
  6. We took ~600 to Forfar on Saturday. Away to Queens seems to be a popular away day with our support, if we do well in our opening games you could, if you're incredibly optimistic, be looking at around 1000, not sure if that would be a big away support for queen's or not?
  7. Yes, we're all living through St Johnstones greatest achievements, lovely feeling tbh. Did you live through Dundees?
  8. TW was pished and reacting to, also pished, fans shouting stuff about McCann to him Again though, that has nothing to do with his ability to manage, and just helps emphasise the point Dundee fans refuse to judge him purely as a manager.
  9. Yes he "mugged off" a manager, a manager who's team had thumped McCann's 4-1 just weeks before. Dundee fans have a blindspot that they can't see beyond his words. If he wasn't a Dundee legend, who could talk the talk, he'd already have been forced out.
  10. So, are we naming a stand after him? Or building a statue?
  11. Dundee fans have a real blindspot about where McCann's taking them. It'll sink in eventually.
  12. Tbf I think the Forfarshire Cup is still on the go, probably still playing 2015/16s competition though..
  13. You're literally copying Fifespuds "bubbles burst" seasonal ramblings to the letter.
  14. Yeah, we've heard that top paragraph for the past three/four seasons, I'm sure we'll survive. And Kilmarnock were under the "weakened" tag, second half of last season their form was league challenging, and they've not lost anyone of genuine note, Mulumbu aside.
  15. what a lot of shite spouted to avoid admitting how long Dundee have failed to finish above "pishy wee Saints"
  16. Being called pish doesn't really hurt when it's coming from a Dundee fan, how many years is it since you've finished above us now?
  17. That's because in the past decade Scottish clubs have had to go through numerous rounds to reach the "First round proper", instead of the old fashioned way of one qualifying game.
  18. Worth mentioning the European competition Dundee last qualified for ceased to exist almost a decade ago.
  19. Our "readjustment" was last season, when we were pretty dire and genuinely had an ageing squad, and the likes of Hibernian and Kilmarnock retook their spot in the top half. If you're expecting St Mirren to become top six regulars then you'll be disappointed. We took advantage of Hearts/Hibs/Kilmarnock and Rangers all either being out the league or weakened, I doubt that'll all happen at once again.
  20. Aye mentioned the goals bit on the Dundee thread and just assumed I'd mentioned it again Where does he play and that? I'm certain someone, you I think tbh, has mentioned his in the youth thread on WAP, but never head much else. Probably due to injuries.
  21. Well yes, to a point. We've prioritised other players. We needed a CM, two wingers and a striker who could all start. We chose the two wingers and strikers ahead of Willock.
  22. Read our thread, people have been saying for months we need a replacement for Chris Millar, you'll have seen yourself Willock isn't the type who'll sit deep and spray passes about, he's more about final third actions. A summer without Tommy Wright moaning about money is like a Summer without a July.
  23. I know certain folk on here don't particularly like stat sites and how they gauge data, but the Modern Fitba one has highlighted two of our midfielders in a "top 25 young midfielders" article. Ali McCann obviously makes it, just below Jamie MacKenzie, that's not a name I see mentioned as much. Anyone know anything about him?
