  1. People said the same back in 1986 when Sir Alex left to go to Manchester. We ended up with Ian Porterfield. If we couldn't attract a big name back then when we were one of the leading clubs across Europe why would we now when we're 9th in a woeful Scottish League and out of both Cups?
  2. Having lived through all of the 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s I would agree his performance was right up there with some of the worst individual performances I've seen but I will cut the lad some slack as it must be hard going from Celtic to the complete shambles we currently are
  3. Craig Samson was goalkeeping coach under Jack Ross. Surely not a strange coincidence we signed him on Saturday to sit on the bench as sub keeper?
  4. The reason I wanted Glass out is he was tactically inept and we have looked a shambles. We've won TWO away games all season (one when the Livingston keeper spilled a shot over his own line and the other was a blatant hand ball by Jenks at Perth). We are losing games to poor teams. Unless Cormack goes for another ridiculous appointment it shouldn't be too hard for the next manager to get us into the top 4 or 5.
  5. It's amazing how many non-Aberdeen fans have this view. Bear in mind Rangers, Hearts, Hibs and Dundee United were all in the lower leagues during this time so finishing top 4 every season wasn't as particularly impressive as it sounded.
  6. Yes. If I had to choose anyone from the current Scottish Premiership I would choose Goodwin but there's no way I could see him working for an ego maniac like Cormack.
  7. Craig Samson is a better keeper than Woods. I would play him.
  8. Hamilton freed Woods didn't they? We were garbage considering we got off to a great start. Didn't think Motherwell were that good but didn't need to be as that is a really really poor Aberdeen team. Glass must go
  9. Lewis Ferguson was silly and petty but at least he looked like he genuinely cared which is something that you couldn't say for a lot of those players. Sadly I think Ferguson will be booed repeatedly on Tuesday from the Red Shed. If Glass doesn't go between now and the Dundee United game god forbid the toxic chants of "Stephen get to f**k" ringing out on the day our greatest ever manager Sir Alex makes what will likely be his last ever appearance at Pittodrie.
  10. So who else was interviewed for the job then? Glass was always getting the job
  11. Ojo's set pieces were miles better than Ramsay's. That said I don't think him and McGeouch offer anywhere near enough to command a start. Give the lad a chance. He's only played 3 times in a new country with a new team. He has some potential.
  12. Pleased to see not a single Aberdeen fan in that photo seems to be applauding the little rat.
  13. If St Johnstone win in midweek and then beat us at Pittodrie next Tuesday then the gap would be 4 points between us and the Perth Saints. I wouldn't be too confident just yet.
  14. Considering the only away wins we have had are a lucky win at Livingston when Stryjek threw a MacKenzie shot into his own net and a lucky win at Perth when Teddy Jenks blatantly handled before scoring I'm surprised it's taken as long as this for the supporters to turn on the team. Glass has the 2nd worst managerial record as Aberdeen boss behind McGhee. We are regressing badly.
  15. I don't blame anyone for booing that today. We were shambolic and deservedly beaten by a rank rotten Livingston side who even St Johnstone beat in midweek. It was an embarrassing, disgraceful performance in bloody awful conditions in a shite stadium. If Celtic play on Wednesday like they did in the 1st half v Sevco then it will be a humiliating scoreline.
  16. His style of play may have been awful to watch but he was the master at the ugly win. I reckon he wouldn't have lost that game today as he would have made us hard to beat. That said I wasn't disappointed to see him go. Today though was an utter shambles. That is an awful Livingston side and we played right into their hands. Glass is not the answer.
  17. Shit ground, shit weather, shit result. Thank you very much AFC for making me suffer that absolute garbage today. Time to go Glass and take most of these charlatans in Red shirts with you. To only start giving a toss at 2 down is unforgiveable.
  18. Happy birthday min, hope we can finally win an away match today
  19. Thanks to the A96 being closed Inverurie and Huntly it ended up being a longer trip north and back as was diverted via Insch and Gartly. And what did we get for having to take nearly 4 hours to get back to Aberdeen due to the length of time to get out of County's car park and getting stuck behind buses and lorries on shite roads? Yet another performance where we had lots of passing with little end product. County were there for the taking as they looked lethargic after their game v Secvco. A disappointing night and another 2 points dropped needlessly by rank bad defending yet again.
  20. Christie was a proven SPFL player. Montgomery isnt. What hurt most with Christie though was him returning to Celtic to score the winner against us in a League Cup Final. My main beef with this signing is it's blocking a pathway to our own youngster Jack MacKenzie. I will support Montgomery in a red shirt but the fact he won't be allowed to play next Wednesday at Pittodrie just shows how ridiculous loaning a player from the same division is.
  21. We will be doing business today. Most likely to be a player on loan from an English club.
