  1. Nah. If he is on the left and the ball is on the right, he cuts in. Then cuts in some more. Then some more. Until he is on the right following the ball. We get the ball and look to play it to the left and who is there? No one as Dow isnt anywhere near the left and no on. Same is true when he is ment to be on the right. Done it the whole time is here. He does the opposite of provide balance. He sees himself as an AM and will gravitate to that position as often as he can during a game.
  2. I am still waiting to see Dow actually play on the wing. Far too often you see him drift inside and play as an AM.
  3. I get the club is trying to increase income but just like Always Arbroath this will go down like a lead balloon. Right idea but poorly timed. After 2 season of shite on the pitch and now relegated this was a time to get fans, young and old, into Gayfield for some light hearted entertainment. Set the pitch up with a number of 5-aside pitches and get a tournament set up with prizes organised. Have stalls. Have entertainment. Do something free for the fans as a big thank you.
  4. As much as i have hated how this season (and last season) has panned out i am more than happy to go along. Good opportunity to listen to the manager and Goldie about this season, plans for next and any long term plans. If you have the time and can go then I would suggest "punters" go along. Better to hear from the horses mouth than what gets posted on here afterwards. Plenty info can be missed or misinterpreted. Good chance he is set stay so best to go in with an open mind and see what he has to say rather than go in with your mind already made up..
  5. Other than that memorable season he has never been a player to score or assist many goals. L1 17/18 - P 14 G4 A 1 L1 18/19 - P 34 G 6 A 4 C 19/20 - P 22 G 3 A 2 C 20/21 - P 26 G 2 A 2 C 21/22 - P 34 G 15 A 8 C 22/23 - P 33 G 4 A 4 C 23/24 - P 22 G 3 A 3 (so far) Would still be a good player at 33 in L1 and be a big loss to us. But certainly not irreplaceable.
  6. McIntyre has had more than 3 weeks to try and identify players so good chance they are of a higher calibre than Robinson.
  7. I have no problems with saying "punters". Is it derogatory? No. Is it demeaning? No. Its just another word used to describe a fan or supporter. I have heard countless people se that over the years and not once have i felt disrespected by that.
  8. Well since the January 22 transfer window we have pretty much failed to add any quality player to the side to be an established Championship side.
  9. Yup. That game against Ayr where we lost 3 defenders to injury and left us with 1 defender yet again. Next game away to Ayr we had 1 defender out of of 15 players. Then away to Morton we had 1 defender out of 13 players. Those 3 games was turning point where we started to fall apart. We get through those 3 games with no injuries and got ToB, Walker etc match fitness up (even if we still had the same results) and use the 3 week break to work on overall fitness and squad morale then we would have gone into the rest of the season in a much stronger position. Having ToB fully fit each week would have given us some solidity at the back. Also Delaney, Walker, Hammy too. But we were back to trying to scrape a defence together during Ayr and Morton away. Nothing in the tank and a very weak bench. Squad shape and tactics just fucked. Then the 3 week window we are back trying to nurse players back and bringing in Teale to help the defence. Going into the game v Dunfermline with 6 players just back from injury. hoping to get through 90mins unscathed on that horrendous pitch. ToB gets 90 mins but breaks his hand which rules him out for weeks. From then on we are trying to get players back to match fitness and play better but each week you can see the players heads are down which makes it all the more harder to get results. Rest of this season has just been a slow march to relegation as we have lacked fitness to key players, too many individual errors, not enough quality to win games and team morale lower than a snakes balls.
  10. Oh prophetic one. Please pass on some more insightful knowledge to us mere pilgrims. You are a god amongst us. Perhaps you can tell us the next lottery numbers or how to ensure a pitch can drain suffeciently that its not deemed waterlogged after a small drop of rain.
  11. Think it was on a dog bin hanging off the telephone pole. Fans even parted so he could get a view of the game.
  12. The way we have been relegated has been pish thats for sure. But we have seen the players look devoid of emotion on the pitch before McIntyre came in. He breifly got them fired up but after failing to beat Ayr at home in January their heads have been fully down bar that comeback v Raith. No leaders on the pitch to motivate each other. Even our most experienced players heads have been down and accepting of defeat, epecially after conceding a goal. Team has lacked fight for 2 seasons now. But this relegation will hopefully give the players something to think about. And the prospect of facing teams that are more our level should give them belief that wins will be more frequent.
  13. A year over due. We should have been down last year
  14. Didnt say they were all bad players. But most are not good enough to play in the Championship at this moment in time. Some will never be. Past 2 seasons quite a few have struggled and others have just been so far off it that they look worse than they possibly are. If it had been a simple case of a manager coming in, working with the players and getting the best out of the and adding to it then i would be two footed into McIntyre. But this has not been a simple case of that. Throw in the major injury crisis, not having our best defenders such as ToB fully fit or available each week and the panic buy transfer window, then i have accepted our fate. Us going down has not been all McIntyre's doing. He just took over the wheel and helped as we were steer us off the cliff. The seeds of failure were sowed long ago on that front since the 22/23 transfer window. A better manager may have done a better job but the question is who would that be and would they have been willing to join? How would they have coped when we were at 14 players and what would they have done different in the transfer window when we had less than 14 fit players. We will never know. All we can do is see the season out and rebuild next year. If McIntyre is still in charge so be it. Just have to see what he does differently over the summer
  15. Simply put the players we have at the club as a whole are not good enough to play at this level. Lacks quality all over the pitch. A team that lacks quality needs to be well organised, high on morale, confidence and cohesion to punch well above its weight. But we lack all of that it shows. Summer cant come quick enough.
  16. Swap Dow and Murray. And Slater and Gold probably swapped too.
  17. That was when the only player to come along to clap the fans at the end was Lari Yao. The rest just either gave a clap and wave to the fans as they walked off the pitch or went straight up the tunnel without even a look up.
  18. Scott Allan has totally disappeared at Larne. Started 4 out of the first 7 games for them. Came on in 2 others. Then either on the bench or not even in the squad for the rest of the season bar one cup game in November. Mad to think how excited we were when he first signed for us.
  19. Cant beleive Stewart has sign on for another 2 seasons. Going by folk on here he would be gone as he wouldnt want to play under McIntyre.
