  1. February 2034 Another perfect month, and our procession to the title continues. We're, by some distance, the best side in the division. 14 points clear, although they've got a game in hand. Assuming that Inter win all their games, including against us, then we need 2 wins. I think we can manage that.
  2. January 2034 I made a couple of signings, just to fill out the squad a bit. Neither of them will play very much, but Santino Sciacovelli is a left back/centre midfielder and Carlos Fereirra is a left winger/centre forward. They'll be fine for sitting on the bench. Again, Ideal. We struggled to break down Penya, but got there in the end, and won the other 3 games without having to be particularly impressive. Means we're into the semi final of the cup as well, where we play Penya again. 8 points ahead with 9 games to go. We play Inter next up, and I think if we win that, then really that will be the title all but wrapped up. Even if we lose that, we should be winning it from here, but I don't want to get ahead of myself.
  3. December 2033 Another good month, although failing to beat Ranger's was a bit of a dampener. On the other hand, we stuck 8 past Engordany and held out for a draw when we were under real pressure against Inter, so that's great. Half way through - still 5 clear, but now with a game in hand. Our goal difference is much, much better as well, so effectively we're 6 clear. One real bit of bad news this month was... Came through a youth candidate last season, and this season has scored 7 goals in 8 appearances as a 17 year old. To be fair to him, Numancia are offering him £1.2k per week, while I was paying him a fiver a week so... He wouldn't negotiate with me as he didn't think I could meet his financial demands, and he was absolutely right. Hope he does well. Edit: Just noticed this move doesn't happen till January 2035, so it doesn't actually matter.
  4. November 2033 Well, I can't complain with that at all. Comfortable in the cup, although we were losing at half time, and then some good boosts to the goal difference in the league. I did expect to win all of these games, but winning them so comfortably is a bonus. A third of the way through the campaign, and we're 5 points ahead. We're playing both Inter and Engordany next month, so it's important that we take points in those to really pull clear. Scotland under 19s We had some Euro under 19 qualifiers this month, which were pretty comfortable wins for us. None of those teams were great, and we were pretty decent. Sees us comfortably into the next round of the qualification process. We've got Switzerland, Croatia and Serbia and the games take place in March. We've got a chance, I think, but those are all decent teams so we'll see.
  5. October 2033 Another good month. 3 straightforward wins against the 3 sides I expect to be the bottom 3, and then we were slightly fortunate to get a draw against Engordany, but that could be vital at the end of the season. Tomeu has also been outstanding so far this season. 6 games, 6 goals and 2 assists. We still sit top, currently 4 clear although the teams below all have games in hand. Also have the best goal difference in the division. Scotland under 19s Aye, pretty good stuff. Should add that both these teams have lost to Andorra and Gibraltar recently, but still. The Baltic states always seem to end up absolute fucking garbage. I mean, I know they are a bit anyway, but even more so.
  6. Anything that annoys the Taxpayers Alliance is good with me.
  7. September 2033 That's an excellent start, beating the top two from last season. Inter went last season unbeaten, so great to put that to an end. Good start for us, but Engordany have been really good so far. Scotland under 19s Great result. Only a friendly, but still, beating Spain is some effort.
  8. Transfers 2033/34 Two players leaving - don't care about either of them. Munier was playing a bit last season, but isn't really good enough. Torres was never going to get a game for us. Busiest transfer window I've had in a long time, and I think I've brought in guys good enough to push us right up the table. Pretty pleased with the window overall. Jonathan Bonnet is a centre half, and will provide me some depth there. When I signed him, he was meant to be one of my starters, but I've since added better players, so he'll be on the bench mostly. He's ok, very brave, and can jump really high, but pretty limited. Should do fine when required though. Ivan Adame will be my right back, which will cause issues as I've promised to play him at right midfield, but I'll deal with the fallout when it comes. He's not the best defender, but pretty decent going forward and should do well. Certainly a significant improvement on the nonsense I had last season. Ruben Garcia will be one of my first choice centre backs, and looks fairly decent. Brave, good positioning, can tackle and jump. Yeah, I'm pleased with him. I brought in my best player from Boca in Richard Claridge, and absolute boy who said this.... Just as at Boca, he's one of my best players and hopefully can provide a spark in attack. Igor Lekic is my new left winger. He's quick and looks like he should have some decent end product, so should be a very handy player. I paid actual money for him, so hope he turns out ok. Ruben Pereira is a left back. He's not brilliant, but I desperately needed a left back, he's better than what I had, and there was noone better available. Should be solid enough, but he's definitely the weakest of my starting 11. Melvin Garcia is my other centre half. He can also play midfield, which helpfully means he can play football a little bit, and is pretty good defensively and mentally. He should be good. Raymond Arthurs joins from Northern Ireland, and can play up front or left wing. I mostly signed him because I promised some other signings I'd strengthen my attackers even though I didn't think I needed to. He's pretty solid all round, and provides something a bit different from my other strikers, so that's nice Last and absolutely least is Ramon Iribarren. He's here to be my substitute keeper, and I hope he never makes his debut.
  9. June 2033 Bit of a damp squib to end the season, but these things happen. They didn't manage a shot on target, and we only managed one, so a 0-0 shitfest was well deserved. Still, I haven't lost as Santa Coloma manager yet, so that's nice. Table finished up like this. Comfortably the best team in the bottom half, but I really don't want to be in that half. Inter d'Escaldes are quite far ahead of everyone else. I'll need to make some good signings if I'm to have any chance of catching them. Scotland under 19s Straightforward stuff. Should probably be beating teams like that by a bit more, but won't complain too much.
  10. April 2033 Two convincing wins this month, including absolutely pumping Penya. Delightful stuff. Aye, we're comfortably the best team in this half of the table, but we'll need to avoid being in this half next season.
  11. March 2033 Only one game with Santa Coloma and we won against bottom side Sant Julia. I can see why the team have struggled though, we have a mix of 5 star players and half star player, and vey little in between. Including no one capable of playing right or left back. Had to go with a 5-4-1 formation, but it seemed to do the job. Not what I want to be playing going forward, but it's fine for now. 3 games left, hopefully we can win all 3. We're all but guaranteed to finish 5th anyway. Scotland under 19s Took charge of my first international games of the save, and they went basically as expected - beat two poorer teams, although not as convincingly as I'd have wanted to, and then we were completely outplayed by a very decent Italy team. We're not going to the Euros, on goal difference. Oh well, f**k it. Next international games are in June.
  12. February 2033 Pretty decent month, although as we're in the bottom half, the teams we're playing against are all complete shite. We did beat Glacis in the cup which sees us past the second round for the first time in my tenure, so that's good. We face Mons Calpe in the next round. Top of the bottom half as things stand, need to make sure that we stay there. Our only chance of this season being memorable is in the cup anyway, but I'd imagine we have no chance in that either.
  13. January 2033 I made another signing, and another defensive one with centre half/right back Martin Harris joining from Lynx. He's a centre back really, but I'm intending to play him as a right back, for the time being at least. As long as I don't expect him to provide anything in an attacking sense, he should be fine there. I don't, so that all works out. He's pretty solid defensively, so that should help us. Another month with only one game, and it officially ends our hopes of a top half finish, albeit it was already a longshot. We played pretty well, and had the better chances but a draw is probably fair. The Mons Calpe manager was a bit of a c**t to me before the game, so I'd really like to get it right up them at some point. Our season comes down to the hunt for 7th once again.
  14. December 2032 Started the month with a signing - Gibraltar international centre half Bill Mantom on a free transfer. He looks pretty decent, and his physical stats in particular are good. Pleased to have him, defence is definitely the weakest area of my team. I said I thought I needed 3 wins to have any chance of top half, so glad to have gotten a good one to start off with. We played pretty well, and didn't look like losing at any point. We';ve thrown away leads on numerous occasions, so pleasing to see this one out. 4 points to make up still - It's not going to happen, but it's frankly a miracle I still have a chance given how we've played this season.
  15. November 2032 Better this month. We were a bit unfortunate to lose against Magpies, although we certainly didn't deserve to win. Our best performance of the season came in the win against College 75 - although that's not a high bar. Still, at least we finally won another game. 3 games left to try to make up 5 points on 6th and sneak into the top half. Realistically, we need to win all our games and hope for the best. I can't see it happening. Just to highlight how far ahead they are, Lincoln Red Imps have beaten both Europa and Lynx 5-0 in the last few months.
  16. SCOTLAND MANAGER RAY MCKINNON Let that fucking sentence sink in, I've accepted anyway.
  17. October 2032 f**k me, I'm going to get sacked. This whole season has been a fucking disaster. My board want me to be finishing top half, so aye, going to plan so far.
  18. September 2032 The standard loss against Lincoln Red Imps, and then we had to come back against Lions to get our first win of the season. We should have scored a few more goals against them, but I'm just pleased we managed to beat them in the end. Need to hope that propels us onto some better form.
  19. August 2032 Laptop almost went out the window at that St Joseph's game. We were 2-1 up in the 90th minute and contrived to lose. Completely infuriating. Europa look like they'll just be much better than we are, again.
  20. Transfers 2032/33 There weren't any good job opportunities through the summer, so I'm still here. I'm keeping an eye out though. Anyway, 3 signings, 1 of which I'm pleased with, 2 are fine but not really the standard required to push on. The one I'm happy with is Harry Scott, a young attacking midfielder. Generally just a very decent player for the level I'm at, and should do well. I tried to sign him last summer, so pleased to get him at long last. Adrian Mor is better than the other centre halves I had, but not very good. He's not terrible, and he will improve the team somewhat, but I'm not exactly enthused by him. He was about my 5th choice target, but everyone else said no, so here we are. Michael Garrity is a centre midfielder and he's here to provide some depth. That's all I can bring myself to say about him
  21. May 2032 We lost twice, as expected, but we did better than I thought we would, and actually looked like we were going to take points in both of these games. Not bad, but not really good either. There we go, 5th place. It's certainly an improvement, but we've still only managed half as many points as the winners, and lost more games than we didn't. Will need to improve by much more if we're to win this. Once again, if something better, either within or outwith Gibraltar, comes up, I'll be jumping ship.
