  1. September 2045 I've got one game to go, but... League games going well, other than a terrible result at KA, and we drew our european game, but it means that going into the final game, the top of the table looks like this. We face 3rd placed Fylkir, while KR play bottom of the table HK. A point will be enough, assuming they don't win by 8...
  2. Are they seriously still bleating about Lyon's second goal last night?
  3. August 2045 AEK was a really weird tie. We scored 4 in the first half of the first leg, and then were comprehensively outplayed for the rest of the tie. They never took their chances though, so through we went. Malmo though Won 9-8 on penalties, and we're into the fucking group stages. Unbelievable. League games went pretty well - KR ended up with 9 men, which was nice of them - and then we absolutely fucked it against Grindavik. Fucking furious. 3 points clear at the top now, with 5 games left. Should be 6 clear, but there you go.
  4. July 2045 A weird month - we were excellent in Europe, but pretty shite in the league for the most part. A couple of terrible performances to start, and we scraped by in the other two league games as well. Moldovan side were garbage, as expected, and Partizan were poor as well. I assume that's a properly embarassing result for them. Lead at the top cut down to 1 point in a poor month domestically, but still having a lead is the main thing. AEK Athens. They should be too good, but I thought that about Partizan.
  5. June 2045 Another great month - cup exit aside. We won the 3 games against last season's other top 4 sides, and came back from 2 down to draw with Breidablik so keeps us in a strong position. The Cup game we were an absolute shambles in, so they'll be no treble this season. Lead at the top now 5 points, almost at the half way point of the season. A Moldovan mob. Would think they'll be just a crap a team as we are, so there's a chance there. We have Partizan Belgrade if we manage to get through this.
  6. May 2045 Pretty good start to the season. The two games we didn't win involved a last minute equaliser for Valur, and playing with 10 men for 85 minutes against Grotta, so I'm pleased with how everything's going. That cup game was the most one sided I've had on FM in a long, long time. 69% possession, and 38 shots (19 on target) compared with 2 for them, 1 on target. Top as it stands by 2 points, and will remain top by at least 1 point when everyone has played their game in hand. Big month ahead with KR, Stjarnan and Vikingur all to play...
  7. League Cup 2045 One more signing for the season ahead - Norwegian striker Rasmus Hoel joins. Realised that I looked pretty short of cover up front, so brought him in - although he'll be first choice. Quick, decent touch and dribbling. Could be better at finishing, but should have enough to get some goals. We absolutely chucked it against Fram - 2-0 up and we turned off, so that was a disappointment. Good results against Breidablik and iBV and then a couple of draws to round it off. I can't believe we didn't beat Vikingur, but these things happen. That sends us into the next round for the first time. We'll be playing Stjarnan in the semi final...
  8. Transfer Window, 2045 Players out first - no first team regulars in there, so not fussed at all. Magnusson routinely moaned about not playing, got told to leave and then backed down which is annoying so pretty happy he's away. Now the players in... We'll start with Ogilvie, a 26 year old centre half. He looks good enough, and certainly an improvement on what I had last season. Kiko Caravante looks pretty good - he better be given I spent a club record 50 grand on him. Good technical ability, can cover a couple of positions and good teamwork. Hallfredsson is another centre half, and can also play at both full back positions. He looks good, and we're looking pretty decent at the back now. Benedito Cruz is another I spent actual money on, so hopefully he works out. He's here to be my first choice goalkeeper, and is an upgrade on Kelly who I've had for the last 2 seasons. Liam Kelly is here to play left wing. It was my one remaining weak spot, although my old left winger scored a fair bit, but I'm hoping he'll be an upgrade. That's it so far - I'm really hopeful that this squad can win the league this year. Getting extremely fed up of having like 6 months between seasons.
  9. Some lovely stuff from McGill in the last 2 frames
  10. September 2044 Season sort of fizzled out. Mostly sneaking wins against absolute dross, and then we had 10 men for almost the whole game against KA and got pumped. Oh well, season was over by then anyway. 13 points off top - we only lost one more game than KR did, so we need to turn draws into wins next season to make up that gap. Still... That's always nice. Will be right in the middle of our season and I would think we'll lose early doors, but still
  11. August 2044 Under normal circumstances, I think that'd be a decent enough month - but that loss against IA and failing to beat Stjarnan and KR has absolutely done us in if we're trying to win the league. KR won the Cup, so I think that 4th should get us into europe. We're not winning the league though. 11 points off with 12 to play for.
  12. July 2044 A good month. We should have beaten Grotta as well, but never took our chances. Ran up our goal difference a fair bit as well, which could be handy. We play KR, Vikingur and Stjarnan next month - so could be a huge month in terms of the title. I'm not expecting to win the thing, but it's been a solid first season up (barring a complete collapse)
  13. June 2044 That Stjarnan game was a disgrace - 5 minutes in we were 1-0 up and they went down to 10 men. How we failed to win from there was baffling. Rest of the month was mixed, but we're still doing pretty well overall. Top as things stand, but I'd be surprised if Vikingur and, especially, KR don't go ahead of us with their games in hand.
  14. May 2044 Cup exit aside, it's all going pretty well so far. We'd a last minute winner disallowed against Vikingur, and my right back absolutely gifted HK their equaliser, so could have been better Still, unbeaten in the league. No bad, especially considering how shite we were in the League Cup.
  15. 1st and 2nd seem fair enough, but the St Mirren manager being the 3rd best manager of the season? Considering they already had one of their wins when he rocked up in mid October as well.
  16. League Cup 2044 Well, we started pretty well - IA came 5th in the top flight, so a draw against them was ok, and beating a shite Afturelding side was expected but pleasing nonetheless. It all fell to absolute shite after that though. KR are a good team, so wasn't too fussed about that, but we should not have lost to the other two teams. Really poor stuff. A month to go until the league campaign, and I'll need to sort myself out in order to do anything. Oh, and they'll be no more signings - realised I've already spent all my budget and the clubs finances are... We'll say wobbly.
  17. Ok, well it was still a racist slur when it was posted there.
  18. Transfer Window 2044 Load of players out - mostly just guys providing depth, apart from Nyoni who was first choice, but he was retiring anyway. Still, so many guys leaving I need a fair few bodies in. Not as many as I'd have liked, but (mostly) of decent quality. We'll start with Rhys Stewart - He'll be playing as an attacking midfielder for me, but can also play in centre mid and looks good. Flair is always nice, him and Pereira on right wing will hopefully give us a good bit of creativity. Justin Crockett comes in to replace Nyoni at left back, and looks like an upgrade. He's a fairly attacking full back, which is what I want, so that's good. Simon Smith is here to provide cover at left back and centre back. He'll be fine in that role. Egill Asgeirsson will be my first choice striker, and should be good. He'll be one of 2 Icelandic players playing regularly for me, which is nice. Finishing isn't great, but the rest is good, and he can fill in at attacking midfield or on the wings if I need him to. Thierno Traore is here entirely because my first choice right back absolutely loves a suspension. He'll only play when Dodaj can't. I've still got a while of the transfer window left, so hopefully be a few more coming in to bulk out the squad.
  19. The worst version of this is any player who can play up front alongside their proper position, and getting asked about their “long run without scoring” even though they’ve been playing exclusively at left back for 3 or 4 years.
  20. Aye, he chats about it here:https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hibs/kevin-nisbet-reveals-covid-19-fears-over-hibs-move-football-wake-call-and-why-he-doesnt-set-personal-targets-2912478 From the sounds of it, he thought he'd made it and could f**k about and then shat it when Thistle released him and realised he had to actually work hard.
  21. I actually thought it was fairly cheeky of them to insist upon interviewing me.
  22. September 2043 Well, we weren't great in the last few games - a win against a really shite side to round the season off was good, but we weren't good enough in the 2 games before that. Still, we've limped over the line and made it up in second place. Target achieved. Now for 5 months off...
