  1. We took 9 points from St Johnstone last season, which I would certainly have said was unexpected. In season's before that we've picked up wins against Dundee United, Aberdeen, Caley, St Johnstone again - all of which went against the league table and form books. So yes, we do. We just haven't yet this season.
  2. The fact that we aren't beating them is a concern, what they do outwith that is basically irrelevant just now. Every club will pick up unexpected points throughout the season, what really matters is that we turn ourselves around and start winning games against our immediate competitors, starting tonight hopefully.
  3. Yeah, one of the worst players, never mind full backs, I've ever seen at this level. And James Collins had two fairly decent spells at Shrewsbury either side of his shambles at Hibs.
  4. Is the Scotzine guy the one who claimed Falkirk fans were chanting "we are the people", got corrected and then had an absolute meltdown about it and refused to accept that he was wrong?
  5. I'll be astounded if we don't keep Fraser, provided he's willing to stay. We kept David Wilson ffs.
  6. The only thing giving me any hope is that there seems to be a couple of absolutely dreadful teams in the league this season, with us of course being one of them. If we can get rid of Devine and replace him with someone who's, well, not absolute dreadful then we'll hopefully have just enough to stay up.
  7. You'll have evidence that he's gone backwards I'm sure?
  8. You've, somewhat predictably, missed the point entirely. The reason he's given for not getting starts/game time yet is a lack of match fitness and not having had a pre-season with the club. Why would this suddenly not be an issue in what you consider to be a better league? I'm fairly certain that Gauld will get his chance to impress with Setubal this season, whether he does or not is another matter, but it's a good level for him to have a go at, and allows Sporting to keep an eye on him much more easily than if he was at Burton Albion or something.
  9. Would you prefer he sat on a bench in the English championship or the Portuguese top flight though?
  10. Other than Greer I don't think any of our squad were older than 25 when they got their first cap. Of course facts don't fit the ludicrous narrative that we somehow wait much longer to cap our players than everyone else.
  11. There's a couple of absolute pits in Edinburgh, but for the most part it's absolutely fine. A bit like every City in Scotland.
  12. Aye think it shut down around this time last year, but up until then there was always guys outside it steaming regardless of time of day. Pretty sure it didn't have any windows either.
  13. Are you talking about "the gunner" being the pub? If so you're correct and it was a total shitehole, but I think it's closed now. For what it's worth, Broomhouse and wester hailes are both much worse than Pilton, from what I've seen.
  14. He can be alright at this level provided that he has someone beside him to guide him through games, as Lee Mair, then Frans and Seaborne did. Given that that seems to be precisely what Lindsay and Devine need just now, it'd be a poor signing as I have no confidence that he'd be able to do this. It'll probably end up being someone we've never heard of released by Port Vale or the like anyway. Would think if we wanted Grandison, we'd already have him signed up.
  15. Could be McDaid away on another loan spell? He's not going to feature very much, if at all, for us this season.
  16. Please no. Please let this just be a favour to an old player before he jets off to play in Cyrpus or Greece or wherever he thought he was off to. Please.
  17. I got that, I thought Scottish teams played in the FA Cup during the early days of football? And I have absolutely no idea what attendances were like then.
  18. Anyone know how long Fraser's supposed to be out for? Would be nice to have someone other than David Wilson to challenge for Welsh's spot.
  19. As above, can play anywhere along the back 4. I'm pretty sure we played him as a holding midfielder a couple of times as well, but he wasn't very good there.
  20. In all fairness, the Sun is written for and by absolute scum so it's no surprise that they're honouring Joey Barton.
  21. Why on earth would you have Harper in the squad?
