  1. Shire v Cumbernauld Colts today was 149
  2. My understandinf was that Shire played the South Region Cup games in 2016/17 at the Falkirk Stadium as we only had a contract for league games at Ochilview that season and cup games were then charged on top per individual game. Falkirk's price for these games were more competitive so we played there
  3. Cheers. So The SJFA will also become a Senior FA but just retain the historic SJFA
  4. It doesn't bother me personally whatever"Grade" a football club wants to come under as for me we are all just football clubs in the end anyway. However, what happens to a Junior club in tier 6 who are promoted to tier 5 ? As the Lowland Lowland is a Senior League will that club still be a Junior club or will they magically become a Senior club? Is there in legislation to stop a Junior club competing in a Senior League ? Probably not but that might change. Taking it further, if that same club which perhaps has now become a Senior club in tier 5, then gets relegated back to Junior tier 6 I take it they will become a Junior club again ? It all seems at best rather messy to me as I take it the club will have to apply to the Senior Lowland League and resign from the SJFA on promotion the opposite if relegated.
  5. and thanks for getting the official crowd. I use that and put a note for the records 're my head count
  6. Jings I was miles out in my headcount at the game on sat! I got c.103 though I did include everyone including the directors box. A number of people kept going in and out of the bar and in the end it was too difficult to work it out exactly! Prob about 20 to 30 ish Shire fans at the game.
  7. Yes. That is my understanding. I have 1 share in the B company myself. It's so long ago since I looked. Will need to see if I can find the breakdown of the deal sonewhere.
  8. When Spencer left the club and the fans through shiretrust bought his 46% shareholding of East Stirlingshire A shares ie the part of the club which is the footy entity rather than the the B shares part of the company which owes Firs Park, unfortunately we were not long afterwards with a HMRC tax demand with days to pay it. Memory is a poor thing but sure it was a week or a few wks at most to pay it. HRMC refused to give us time to pay despite a Scottish Premier League team at the same time having a tax demand and being given time. HMRC were planning to close the Shire if the tax bill wasn't paid so the club approached Mackin for financial help as we were unable to raise the funds. Mackin agreed to paid the Bill (Think it was £50k) and the plan was for him to recoup the amount from the sale proceeds of Firs Park on top of what he was already due. Basically it was put to him that he would get less money overall if HMRC sold Firs Park as a fire sale rather than it being sold on the open market. With Firs Park still not sold and Mackin resigning from the B shareholders board earlier this season he is stilldue these additional monies out of pocket. It is ironic that thoughtout his time at the Shire when he failed to put in promised monies into the club and then ultimately tried to kill the club to assist strip it that he only put money in after we had left firs park to protect as asset that is as far away as ever from selling. Milles away from his dream of getting a sale price of £1.5m at the outset.
  9. My head count from yest's Edinburgh University v East Stirlingshire game was 112 ( including about 60 to 70 Shire fans).
  10. 252 at today's Shire v Kelty Hearts game
  11. I have now recd a correction to the total crowd I was given last night. Actual crowd was 207.
  12. The crowd at the Shire v University of Stirling League match tonight was 204.
  13. Crowd at the Shire v East Kilbride today was 185.
  14. We're F@lkirked! Though I would accept that. You never know if the SFA may just have that on their mid 're ground sharing. I hate ground sharing but the Mackin agenda of trying to sell Firs Park with no regard to the actual club's viability nearly killed our club and as a direct result meant that we had to put money into ground sharing instead of growing the team and club. Look where that has gotten us.
  15. I have huge amount of time for Whitehill Welfare and am a bit nervous where the changes re SFA licencing are going. However, the Lowland League is a different beast to the East of Scotland where Welfare dominated and it is strengthening every season. If it is to be a stepping stone up and down from SPFL Division Two it is understandable if the plan is to make the gap and small as it can be.
  16. My head count from Shire game last night at Edusport Academy was 54. There were about 30 to 40 Shire fans, not bad for a night game. Re the missing crowd for the 24/11/18 Civil Servcie v Gretna 2008 gaem you might be able to make round guess from their following goal highlights video
  17. I have stayed the night and might do that or go and see the Uppers if the game is on
  18. 24/11/18 - The Spartans v East Stirlingshire 187 (per Spartans twitter feed)
  19. Result is what it is and no matter that we bossed the 2nd half it just wasn't enough to wiped out the mare of the 1st 30 mins of the game. On a side note unusual Edimburgh Univ formation tonight, especially in the 1st half. Unsure if it was genius of players just playing where they wanted to . At times it was like a 22411 and then at other times it was a rainbow selection of the various formations. A bit like total footy. The students worked really hard are closing every down in the 1st half at it worked well for them, in the 2nd half not quite so.
  20. Shire crowd v Edinburgh University tonight was 182
  21. Unfortunately not. It was a one off strip paid for in advance by individual fans who then will get one of the strips used by the players. The profits raised of £350 from the sale of the strip went to the Scottish Poppy Fund.
  22. Shire's crowd today v Linlithgow Rose was actually 405. The earlier announced crowd of 505 was just a smidge out !
  23. Didn't count the crowd at East Kilbride v Shire on Sat as I was hoping for an official attendance. My guesstimate would be 200 maybe 220. When we were there last at the end of last season the crowd was c.142 and it was definitely busier on Sat past but nothing silly.
  24. You go to too many Rugby games! 1st it's the Friday night games in Glasgow and now your Sats are being taken up as well. Are u missing our Scottish Cup game on Sat at Gala as well ?
