  1. Here's an Exeter City scouts take on things. Based on two games watched, he concludes Buyabu is much stronger going forward. And he's rapid.
  2. Agreed. Plus, at the time I thought Miller not getting more time on the pitch was kinda baffling. On reflection, it probably made sense to not push him too much today so that he can make a proper contribution on Tuesday vs Ross County.
  3. We absolutely do not look like a relegation-bound team. The second half in particular had every player knocking their pan in and dare I say…. we even played some nice football. Hopefully we’ve now got a few options on the bench as the lack of changes, when they were needed, was noticeable. Id liked to have seen Nicholson given more time, thought he looked handy against St Johnstone. in the grand scheme of things, another draw, another game without a win, but another promising step in the right direction.
  4. I've got a weird feeling we're going to be good today.
  5. Only here for 6 months, but I'd add Nick Blackman to that list. Also, most of those players have had their best goal to game ratio playing for us. Fir Park is clearly the place to be.
  6. Thats kinda where I am. I’d be absolutely fucking delighted if we signed him, like properly excited, but I canny help feel there’s a big reason it’s us, St Mirren and Killie leading the chase. If reports from Groningen are correct, he’s not fit. Van Veen himself put much his success last season down to being the fittest he’d ever been. There’s a problem right away that’s gonna take a wee whole to resolve. Then it’s a simple question of whether he’s in the mood or not. I wonder if the club haven’t pushed the boat out for those reasons.
  7. If you look at that accounts other posts, they seem to be regularly ridiculed for making odd things up.
  8. Me trying to keep up with this stuff. Honest question, do most folk get their tactical awareness from FM? I've never played it and it shows.... I don't know anything beyond 442, 433 and very occasionally I might recognise the exotic 4231.
  9. That's kinda where I am. I think it looks a decent signing? Looking at the stats @capt_oats posted earlier, (24 goals and 12 assists in 54 U21 games) is obviously very good at that level. The question is what level is U21 English Championship? If we had a homegrown player stepping up the first team with those stats we'd all be excited to see what they can do, and he's obviously coming from a higher level than that.
  10. It’s actually quite impressive how little we know about individual player wages. Total shot in the dark guesses, most of which are probably up to +\- 75% of the real thing. In the information Age it’s one of life’s last great mysteries.
  11. Aside from losing (yet another) absolutely shite goal, we do kinda resemble a football team today.
  12. I’m sure we’ve been here before. I’ve got a vague recollection of Robinson saying in a press conference that they’ve had external folk in to analyse training, recovery, conditioning etc etc because we were picking up so many injuries. I might be talking shite but I’m sure they couldn’t identify any specific reason for it.
  13. Trying to sign players sounds like an absolute pain in the arse.
  14. I’m convinced that to get that James Scott, you also need Stephen Robinson on the sidelines giving himself an aneurysm. To be fair, it’s a role I could see Kettlewell stepping into.
  15. P.s. I quite like these new retro graphics for new signings. More of that please.
  16. Happy with Halliday. We need the experience, he's generally consistent, he'll give everything and I'll happily go against the grain and say I think he comes across well in the media. Doesn't seem like a bad guy to have in the dressing room at all.
  17. See when folk say Hastie got found out, can someone explain what the opposition found out about him? Only thing I can think of (and this is from the highlights reel, not memory), is how one-footed he seems to be.
  18. Im surprised at the hate too. Obviously being a Rangers fan puts him straight in the c**t category, but that could be said about a huge number of Scottish players who have allegiances to one of those two. He’s clearly knowledgable, articulate and I think generally comes across well when I hear him speak. In the grand scheme of c***s, he’s fairly low on my list.
  19. I think I’d rather go live in a cave than have to socialise with Ricky Lamie and Tony Watt.
  20. Do they mean they had nothing to do with it apart from emailing all the members to endorse it and asking us to share it?
  21. I'm probably putting two and two together to get five, but I wonder if the media team didn't have much of a say in it going out and Brannan, who I assume worked with / is still in touch with some of them, has done that a a favour to try distance them from it.
