What we are missing this season is a stand out outfield player or fans favorite, I just cant see one in this current line up, you could argue that Mcgowan is one but he has hardly be great this year so far. Edit to say outfield player, because Bain is a great keeper.

Oh here he goes, the merchant of doom! And tell me o wise one, what good will it do replacing the manager now and what saviour would you replace him with? Aye things are shite just now but it can be turned around quickly. Its shite for 6 other teams too, we are only 3 points from 6th. Hartley still has my backing, I have more confidence in him than I would have in any of the other 6 managers within the 3 points of us.

I thought we played better today when Teijsse and Loy came on, it was giving our defence more of an option when getting the ball forward. IMO we would be better starting with Loy and El Bak up top and Teijsse sitting just behind them as a target man.

Yeah, Hartley either needs to change tactics, or get players in that can play to this system. Probably easier to change the tactics, the defence is ok, but the midfield gets caught out of position too often and up front ends up getting zero support, in turn inviting the oposition back on to us. Needs to change.

After watching the game today, it gets played through the middle far too often and we don't use the wings enough. We also seem very hesitant to get the ball played into the box, we seem to want to walk it into the net. Its nearly there, we need a decent winger/playmaker. They seem to be hiding away from the ball a fair bit too, the only players that were available for a pass to feet were Julen and O'Dea. I am not overly worried yet, however we do need to improve quickly.

I know it was said earlier to dismiss youtube videos of players but watching this boy Gregory Nelson and he seems like a player. Quick, full of skill, not afraid to take players on and, dare I say it, looks like Kane with his beard! Sign him!

Nowhere near it! Although I have been to Formartine and Turriff, only because Dundee played them both in a couple of pre season friendlys a few years ago and they are in close proximity to where I live. I find it difficult to travel to games on a weekend, I played Saturday amateurs for years and then when I finished playing I already had kids and its hard to justify the cost to the wife. I will always take in the Dundee games if its Aberdeen, ICT or Ross County and I try to get to Dens as often as I can but the price ends up being about £80 - £100 if you include fuel etc.. Great pics and storys though mate! This thread has been an excellent read!
