  1. Ach, I admit I have skin in this game but I have to ask who are they really upsetting? Also, I have to admit a grudging admiration for those Forfar lads (pretendy hard men act aside). I can’t think of any point in the game where they were anything less than committed to their art.
  2. It depends who you are comparing it to. Remember when Will Carling was England rugby captain, they used to show his “inspirational” team talks before the game? Murray’s was no worse.
  3. I would guess that you are correct. https://www.airdriefc.com/stuartmillar-280319
  4. Does Strict Liabilty have a clause specifically dealing with angry rustling of sweety wrappers?
  5. I would understand the point of seeing relegation to League 2 as an opportunity to consolidate if League 1 was too challenging an environment to stand a realistic chance of success. But it isn't.
  6. Is that who that was? I thought it was someone with Tourette’s.
  7. However today’s game finishes, at least Carrick has broken his duck. Pleased for him.
  8. Wing back signed on loan from Rangers according to ‘fishal site. https://www.airdriefc.com/jordanhouston-210219
  9. I would guess that the trust’s articles define the role. I also suppose it’s like any elected role (he was elected wasn’t he?). The person occupying the role is ultimately accountable to those who elected them.
  10. Isn’t the clue in the choice of title i.e. “representative” rather “mediator” or “liaison”?
  11. You could have done him the courtesy of informing him he's in the wrong place. The thread where anyone gives a f*ck is a few hundred pages over.
  12. Late to this one. Would agree that the larger venue didn’t suit them as much. When you go to a Mogwai gig you don’t want the noise escaping up into the rafters. You want the sound trapped in a small space with you, to the point your ears start to bleed. That said the best Mogwai gig I’ve been to was the open air Zidane one down on the Broomielaw. Helicon 1 sounded spectacular as the notes echoed back off the surrounding buildings.
  13. Which kind of illustrates the lazy aspect of the trolling the OP was attempting. Basically, lets go at a few obvious candidates (like the Rovers who were everyone's idea of a joke team until recently but who, it pains me to say, are now a tidy and improving outfit) without actually checking whether their track record supports the assertion. The fact is any team playing in the 2nd and 3rd divisions don't need to justify their existence if they're balancing the books, paying their players wages, providing an appropriate venue for their home league games and turning up for matches. Using example teams which have been doing considerably better than that just makes the OP look ignorant (which, in fairness, may have been an intentional part of the trolling schtick).
  14. Yeah. Put 11 players on the park each Saturday without running up masses of debt. Something so many of our "top flight" teams seem to struggle to do.
  15. I am. I'm reasonably convinced she's just looking to create a league structure which will allow the "big" U20 teams get more competitive gametime. It's incredibly sad that some in Scottish football reduce the contribution that many teams have made over the past 100+ years to only being worthy of acting as fodder for their colt teams.
  16. Strictly speaking, you'd need to remove Airdrie from that list since the original Airdrieonians went bust. We're the rebranded Clydebank, as football forums wits like to continually remind us.
  17. My first GSYBE gig was pretty much exclusively tracks from "F♯ A♯ ∞"' and I had absolutely no idea what to expect having not heard anything by them beforehand. What I did hear blew me away.
  18. Just noticed your sig / avatar. On a slightly related note, I saw Mogwai perform an unannounced support slot (1st time I ever saw them live) for GSYBE (1st time I ever heard their music) at G2 in the late 90s. Pretty special evening all round.
  19. I went for the 30 quid black hoodie with "MOGWAI" emblazoned across the front in bold, white capitals. Not a good look for a podgy, 42 year-old bloke so it will be going to the teenage nephew the next time I see him. Other than the cold (not as hardy as I was in my youth) and the annoying chatter and constant wandering about by the numerous hipsters in my immediate vicinity (I assume they were in for free, else why spend 25 quid on a ticket and not pay any attention to the performance), I thought the performance was excellent. At various points the music (and not the cool breeze blowing along the Clyde) gave me chills and I was much more engaged by the documentary film than I ever had been watching it at home. To be honest, I wasn't previously that "into" the soundtrack before this gig. However, Sunday night's performance unlocked it for me and I'm sitting at home in my garden right now and enjoying listening to it while watching the sun go down. It helps that I remembered to bring a jacket this time though. On favourite Mogwai albums, "Ten Rapid" is mine ... especially since it features "New Paths to Helicon pt 1" which made an appearance during the encore the other night.
  20. Got your email. Tried replying and PM'ing you on here. No response so far.

  21. He should be lauded for this. Scottish football needs to do everything it can to bring in the "fans of the future", including transferring controlling stakes in clubs to them. Stuart
  22. Airdrie weren't offering contracts at the time because we weren't sure what division we'd be playing in this season. Stuart
