  1. Yup. I doubt Arbroath did a Gretna but they still managed to put together a solid side which comfortably won the league.
  2. Where is this talk coming from. Is this just someone’s fantasy wish-list or a semi-serious possibility?
  3. If Dobbie stays fit across both games I don’t think they’ve got anything to worry about.
  4. It’s only half time but I’m guessing this year’s competition won’t be coming from QotS.
  5. Normally I would take that advice but, seeing as it’s you, I’ll ignore it.
  6. Say something suitably vague and allow everyone to project their own meaning onto it. That approach sounds vaguely familiar but I can’t think where I recognise it from.
  7. If it is then take such a rare event as a good omen and put a bet on Airdrie for the Scottish Cup Final.
  8. Mixture. Some full time, some part time. Plus Falkirk will bring a decent crowd.
  9. I implied that the OP didn't know for sure what had happened, not that I did know what had happened. Yup. A couple of people (myself included) made fairly neutral observations and then folk piled in to create another fight on the internet. I agree it's probably a business decision but there are good ones and bad ones and all shades in between and it's not clear where this one is. If I were to ask you to work for free in return for "exposure" or "experience" or a nominal wages that wouldn't cover your petrol money, I wouldn't expect you to take me seriously. Some companies do though. If you agree with the latter perspective, then I guess we'll just agree to disagree
  10. If you get a reputation, fairly or unfairly, for messing your employees about, don't expect the good people to come rushing to work for you.
  11. Nope. I said it was a possibility. Huge difference. Maybe something that folk should consider before slagging off players and their maws, unless they're certain of their facts. And even then, slagging isn't big or clever. If you can't offer someone a fair wage then don't waste their time by asking them to support your business with their effort and abilities.
  12. Why was what disrepectful? The amount that O'Neill was offered? I have no idea what he was offered or how it compares to what teams in this division consider a reasonable wage, so don't know either way.
  13. Of course there is no possibility that the club did offer a genuinely disrespectful amount (coz that's never happened under previous regimes) and I'm sure you'd handle the same situation much better if you were his "wee maw".
  14. And if there isn't we'll at least have lots of fuel for the bitter recrimination that will run for the rest of the season.
  15. A few people using the word "disappointed" == "furore". I disagree with your point though. I'm sure that O'Neill has his flaws, like just about every other player at this level, but it certainly wasn't his lack of ability or commitment that was responsible for our failure to achieve the targets set at the start of this season.
  16. You have to admit though, the idea that colt teams is all that’s required to transform Motherwell into Athletico and Kilmarnock into Valencia is actually a pretty fucking hilarious one.
  17. The no relegation proposal is ridiculous. There should always be some sanction for performing worse than all the other teams in the league. As for colts, it's as if the SPFL leadership need to keep resurrecting the corpse of this discussion until they get the outcome they want. It appears that "shame" is not in great supply amongst the the big boys.
  18. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48185538 ..... says the guy who's team finished 11 points behind the 2nd placed team.
  19. So far as I can see, you’re the only person to claim that approach had been proposed. Have you either found the source for your claim, or decided to admit the claim was inaccurate in the 1st place?
