  1. Certainly think Clyde if they keep Goodwillie and Danny Lennon will be favourites. Ourselves with Stenny if they miss out this year will be their or thereabouts. The 2 relegated teams particularly Queens Park will hope to be in the mix as well, as maybe Elgin as well. Just hope Dave gets the right players in during the summer. Wither we go up as Champions or by the playoffs we need to get out of this League and more importantly stay out.
  2. Good news Dave MacKay and Frazer Wright signed up for another 12 months, its promotion or bust for us next season, hopefully Dave finds the right players to bring in during the summer to mount our promotion push.
  3. I would offer new contracts to the following Binnie McNeil MacGeachie Moon Robertson Kavanagh MacDonald Darren Smith I would also like to sign up Danny Jardine now that he`s been released by St Johnstone. Those plus the 2 already signed up for next season Darren Barr and Lee Hamilton would make it 11 if they all sign on for next season. We should be looking to bring in at least 9 other players in the following positions, Goalkeeper, Centre Defence, cover for corner backs, Midfield, Centre Forward and maybe a winger or two. Just hope Dave MacKay realises we need more than the 18 we had at the start of last season, 20 imo should be the minimum we should have to cover for injuries etc.
  4. If that is the case would welcome him back at Forthbank next season, as a previous poster says was voted our YPOTY.
  5. Can see this being a low scoring draw imo, typical end of season fare [emoji3]
  6. Agree Darren Smith should win and Le Hamilton is only 19/20 I believe so should qualify for Young Player of the Year.
  7. Yes Mr Goodwin did offer his services but was quickly knocked back.
  8. Neil`s doing fine, took his chance in the starting line up since the injury to Darren Smith and has been one of our better players, getting a couple of goals to his credit.
  9. Yes was at the meeting tonight, Ken read out a letter stating that all the Trust Board had resigned including himself and then the 4 Trust Board members at the table, all got up and walked out. It was agreed after they left that Duncan Strathdee would organise a Special Meeting of the Trust to decide a new Trust Board. This will take a few weeks to organise and Trust Members will be notified of the date of this meeting.
  10. First of all I`d make it quite clear as a Trust Member and Supporter, Shareholder in Stirling Albion, that I`m NOT a Stuart Brown fan. Think Stuart has done a good job as Chairman of Stirling Albion over the years but his meddling in the appointment of the current manager where he produced another candidate at the final shift of 2, a person who did NOT apply for the job clearly beggars belief. For that reason I believe its time for Stuart to go and be replaced by someone else. Regarding the Albion being in League 2, yes have to agree that the Club should be playing at a much higher level at least League 1 imo but we are here in League 2 after 2 bad appointments made by the Exec Board of the Club of managers, toped off by offering the previous manager Stuart McLaren another years contract when most of the fans felt that he did not deserve one. Regarding top young talent signed on Amateur contracts and going to Premier Clubs for nothing on 2 occasions yes its disappointing but unless the Club has the money to pay for the Under 20`s development squad players to go on pro contracts then its a situation that will continue not only at Stirling Albion but MOST other Clubs outside the SPL. Totally agree with Stuart on this occasion, their was a Police investigation underway and clearly he would have been informed to keep this information confidential and the Club informed the SFA and other bodies as required to do so. Regarding the Trust not being informed clearly certain Trust members know about these 2 coaches but they also chose not to past on information, one of whom I understand was the VICE CHAIRPERSON of the Trust, who has since resigned from his post. Being a walloper on Social media each to his own imo, not on Social Media but that does not bother me. Agree that the way the Club Exec Board is run clearly needs to be changed and for elections to be held every year with a number of Directors standing down and reapplying for Election. Their was a vote taken at a Trust AGM but a lot of Trust members did NOT get the chance to vote. Yes imo the Trust Board are entitled to make changes as the Major Shareholders in the Club but due to the way the structure of the way the Club operates that this was not possible without going to an EGM of the Club Shareholders. A EGM will be held on Wednesday 28th March at Forthbank where Stuart Brown position as Chairman will be decided. Yes their is a vandetta imo, the way that the newly appointed Trust Chairman was announced with NO consultation with Trust Members, who did NOT get the chance to submit nominations for those vacant posts, clearly demonstrates that steps had been taken to get rid of Stuart Brown and be replaced by the newly appointed Trust Chairman. We have a Trust Board who do NOT seem to want to communicate with Trust members and try to get their own way, that's NOT VERY DEMOCRATIC is It ? Therefore it comes as no surprise that a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE has been lodged with the Trust Board and a vote will take place on the 2nd April to decide this resolution.
  11. Well their having to arrange a meeting to discuss the vote of No Confidence on the Board and given the fact that they have elected a new Chairman and Vice Chair without consulting the members, giving no chance to ask for nominations for places on the Board does not bode well for the current Trust Boards future. They seemed to have with this latest chapter managed to get people’s backs up. He’ll mend them if they lose this vote.
  12. Totally agree with your comments, the Trust has concentrated on reducing the debt on taking over the Club which is understandable in the circumstances and has neglected to deal with who does what and what the roles and responsibilities of the Exec Board of the Club and thus we have a situation now we find ourselves in, two fractions fighting each other supposedly in the best interests of the Club. Given the fact that the Trust called for an EGM of the Club`s Shareholders and as yet I as a Shareholder have not received any communication from the Club to when this EGM is to be held it does not bode well for the Club in the short term.
  13. So you should be worried, All I am going to say to you is 4 words Lothian Thistle Hutchinson Vale. [emoji24] Let’s hope for your sake Chris Smith is not out for any length of time, otherwise you might kiss goodbye to any playoff hopes.
  14. No chance he could afford to buy the Albion after the costs of his recent Court case. Surprised he his still with the Clyde, though he would have been gone by now playing for more money in the lower English league`s.
  15. Been playing with a couple of sides down in London, Dulwich Hamlet amongst others in the lower English Leagues.
  16. The Local businessman is a member of the Supporters Trust I understand, other than that don`t know much else about the ex SPL footballer, things are being kept confidential at the moment.
  17. Could be a good signing for you, always liked Sandy when he played for the Albion. Gives you something different up front.
  18. Their has been talks with the Supporters Trust who own 83% of the shares in the club between a Local Businessman and an ex EPL player about purchasing the Trust Shares, still in discussion. At the end of the day its up to members of the Supporters Trust to say yes or no to any offer to buy the shares.
  19. Can`t blame you that's 4 goals now in his last 2 games for us.
  20. Agree thou pity that they had to share the prize with the 2 singing guys.
  21. Agree re comments regarding the Q&A session in the Supporters Bar before the match with Dave MacKay. Came across well as someone who has the best interests of the Club at heart. Clearly hope we do the business this season and get to at least the playoffs this year.
  22. Agree just hope Darren does a good job for us starting this Saturday against Elgin. Over the next month we have 3 home games and we really should be looking at taking all 9 points from these games. As well as taking all 3 points when we visit Central Park to face the Blue Brazil, another 3-0 victory would do me fine.
  23. Just hope we get another Central Defender in soon, if rumours are to be believed he could be joining the Shire best of luck to him in the future.
  24. That's good to know the Albion are opposed to this idea. It would seem that a number of other clubs in League 2 are quite happy yo accept their 36 pieces of silver. Hell mend them.
  25. I would be most interested to find out the Clubs backing this plan and I hope the Club I support Stirling Albion are NOT in favour of this idea. No way would I go to any of these Colt games should it happen and I`m sure most supporters from other clubs are of the same opinion.
