Last night second half performance only and had we equalised I think we had a good chance of winning it.

Yes it was all or nothing at the back but Airddrie fir the first time we're on the ropes.

I'm not saying next time out we go 2 at the back and 8 forwards but go for them in an aggressive way.

On a side note will Ashcroft be back for the play offs?

Fine margins in football. If Connollys’ shot hits the net instead of the post, we may be having a completely different discussion on here.

I missed OTB on Saturday as I was in Paris for the weekend. Around about the time half of you were objectifying Ali de Foy, I saw this in the French painting section of the Louvre - somebody should really have a word.

It's just through the door from the Northern European painters section if anyone's interested. Strange way to carry on with one of your sisters.

I don’t know. There are some videos out there, where that sort of behaviour with your sister seems to be welcomed. (So a friend tells me👀)

Anyone have any documentaries about why people decide to believe a small handful of contrarian voices, often speaking on topics outside of their field of expertise, at the expense of the overwhelming majority of people who know the most about the subject?

Presumably it's some form of mental illness, but that's surely the most interesting aspect of most topics on this subforum. I mean, there are still millions who contribute to the lifestyle of exposed con man Andrew Wakefield and insist he's the top boi on matters related to vaccines and/or autism. It's fascinating, if not terrifying.

I think it is probably to do with belonging to a group. They may get dragged in by an idea that the earth is flat or whatever and just end up in an echo chamber.

The cynic in me thinks half of them are just after a free jolly. Stuff like 9/11 they say “you can’t prove it, because i have never been there”.
Andrew Maxwell done a thing on the bbc years back and took them to New York etc and some of them seemed like they were just there for the free trip.

Anyway, recently three new episodes were released. Somehow,  most of their fans who were on camera were as ludicrously entitled and arrogant as ever, despite being failures for years and not getting close to the League One titles. It's actually mystifying where their fans get the entitled, arrogance and hilarious expectations from.

Probably not helped by the media down there. Sky, Talksport, the BBC. Every time they talk about teams like Sunderland or any team in general that has been in the premier league since 92, they generally tend to call them a “big club”.

Not sure what you want. I considered that a pretty solid match call by the referee. Nothing egregious, let the match flow, didn’t do anything to change or cause the result.

The cards were justified, but I could see an argument about the first yellow so early. It was definitely a hard challenge, so the yellow wasn’t unjustified, and I think it ended up keeping a lid on the match better than otherwise.

I want consistency. Rudden and others constantly being held yet nothing given, yet everything they shouted for, the slightest touch on them they got. Lets face it, he wasn’t even facing the action when the foul was committed for the penalty.

A new family home has been put on the market but there is a catch - the way to the front door is partially blocked by a lamppost.

    0_CCP_NEC_140324LAMPOST015JPG.jpg

The property on Boldon Lane, South Shields, was built as part of what has been described as an "exceptional" new-build development. It is one of 10 four-bedroom terraced homes on the market for £235,000. But buyers may be put off one property on the row, as a lamppost is located right at the entrance to the home. Meanwhile at the rear of another property, a lamppost is completing blocking the driveway from any practical use.

About time someone shed some light on this sort of thing.

Had an account for 2 years and this is how I learn you can change the theme. Was originally the default but is now very Motherwell-y!

You my friend are a legend. Just converted mines to the Raith background. Didn’t know this was an option and i have been here about 10 years.

  9. Elgin 1 Forfar 1. Cinch Scottish League two. Borough Briggs, Elgin.

My last one for the 2023/24 season. A more exciting game than last weeks as Forfar continued their unbeaten run. A fantastic finish from Booth made it 1-0 but Forfar equalised with a lovely cut inside from Thomson and where we were, we could see it curl perfectly round the defender and knew it was it in before it hit the net.
I think if Elgin had figured out that punting the ball up into a very strong wind, wasn’t helping their cause they would have got on better as they played some neat football at times. They could have won it on the counter, but Cairns blasted wide after running from his own half, giving and then eventually getting the ball back from the winger. They hit the post as well. Booth was named man of the match and rightly so, but Bray played well, looks like a good player at this level.

We had a 4 hour drive there and back, so was good to get a good game sandwiched in-between. Borough Briggs is a good stadium, has a lounge inside the stand where you can go before the game as well. IMG_4424.thumb.jpeg.5123f6169bbd8805c4f71c877c92cab9.jpeg

Tinpot and PR disasters, oh aye, let's talk about that. The main reason fans from other clubs in this league think Rovers are a shower of entitled bams is your snidey social media that you all think is hilariously clever when in fact it's actually not.

    Snide into the weekend...... Etc

I suppose funny means different things to different people.
You seem obsessed with the social media side of things.
Either A) you are at it and just a wind up merchant. Or

    B) A 4 second clip from a game that didn’t even involve your club has really got under your skin for whatever reason.

There is a lot worse than footage of a slide tackle being put on social media. What would you like from Raith? A grovelling apology? Or a header at the top of the clip saying “no goalies were harmed in the making of this clip”
And let’s face it, had that been Todd on Debrowski, you would have been lapping it up because as football fans we are all hypocrites.

Think Stevie Wonder can see that the Dundee board, Jim Goodwin and every single United fan are petrified of the Kirkcaldy troops rolling into town.

Pavements will be worn to dust with Adidas Gazelle's dancing whether we have 10 or 10,000 there. Hopefully our fans do the right think and take packed lunches versus buying a pie at the game, that'll show them and they'll be bust before the last playoff game.

Better not let them see you calling them Dundee, might rattle them enough to end up with a further reduction in tickets.

    A peh, Shirley?
