The problem is, as far as I see it, is that the European “Super League(s)” will end up like American franchised sport wher no “Major League” can ever get “relegated” as that might “dilute the brand”

I would quite happily see that lot just disappear to their own wee diddy league. Oh, we want a closed league because we don’t want beat by teams like burnley or Alaves. If they disappear to the esl, they should be rejected by their league as well. I used to really enjoy watching the epl, but since that grab for all the money, i hate it. Used to love watching Juve in serie A during the 90s on Channel 4, didn’t mind barca either. But since then, i am glad to see barca struggling. Petty i know, but if these people want to ruin football, i am not going to watch it.

  2. Me and my mate have had this discussion a few times and i think it depends on a lot of factors. In an ideal world, those who leave places where there is already a team, Aberdeen, Fife, Edinburgh for example. Would ditch the old firm (if they are having to travel much further afield in England or Europe to watch them) and start going to their local teams, there would be the positive upturn that way. More money for clubs, better wages, better players, better product on the park.

It then depends on how much a lure and how financially viable it is for them to continue supporting them in these places. Some people may be well off enough to do that.

The first few seasons would probably see different winners of the league, but I wonder if once the champions league money started rolling in for a team winning it say 3 times out of 6, then they would possibly start to pull away?

I agree that we need to increase the league size, playing the same team 4 times a season is maybe what some fans don’t like. Between that and the cup, we will play Dunfermline 6 times this season (if they make the playoffs, it could possibly be 8?)

I would keep the playoffs, but maybe change it so that they are like the playoffs further down the leagues (9thv4th & 2ndv3rd)

  3. Mrs B had that as well. Numbness and then tingling in her arms and legs. Then unable to walk up the stairs, lift her legs and was dragging her leg badly. She was unable to dress herself as well. We had to push to get seen by her own doctor (a locum put it down to carpel tunnel) her own doc got her into the vic, an mri later and She went in for surgery at DCN at Edinburgh royal and is on the mend.

The state of Conservative America...all these MAGA dads bad mouthing Taylor to their daughters...and they can't even tell you why.

Surely given her wealth, he can just shake it off. It looks like there may be some bad blood between these two guys. The dudes friend probably think he is a hero for dating her, but that person seems to see him as more of an anti hero. If that sort abuse online continues over the next few months, they get caught and end up in trouble with the law,  it could be a cruel summer for them.

34? middle aged? That makes me an OAP in his eyes.

Always makes me laugh when they talk about celebs being a bad influence, but making sure that when their daughters go to the concert, that they are reminded to take their gun with them.

  5. I was at primrose valley with the mrs and kids during the group stages and drove back up a couple of days before this. We stopped in a service station on the way up and there was a Sun front page headline that Said something along the lines of “let’s stick it to the germans/kaiser” between that and the lampard goal, it just made it absolutely glorious.

    Whilst understanding  what you're saying,

I was at Them v Us Euro 96 at Wembley, and that miss. I have on occasions looked away, and I have a fucking fear of fans celebrating a penalty being awarded, the thing still has to be bloody scored. But if the for the for camera posturing oft seen by subs and managers I agree.

I sometimes have a fear of watching penalties from that moment in 1996 ( and even they Uri Geller had nothing to do with it his claims he does must surely let me off with a warning in a court of law if I administered a P&B kick in the pie to the bam). Penalties are a nightmare.

Mental to think, if McAllister scores that, Geller blends back into the background and we forget who he is by 1997. He has absolutely dined off that, and McAllister even said as much at the Raith hall of fame a few months back.

  7. The Spartans 1 Clyde 1. Att 531.

Fair to say this won’t go down as a classic, with defences on top and more of a midfield battle for the majority. Jordan Allan had the chance to give Clyde the lead with less than a minute on the clock. A through ball seemed to split The Spartans defence and he found himself one on one with the keeper, but the keeper pulled off a good save. A similar ball seen Allan give Clyde the lead as this time he deftly flicked the ball past an onrushing keeper.
Spartans equaliser was a really good goal, the ball was switched from right to left, it looked like the ball was coming out of play towards us, but the ball was taking out of the air with one touch, flicked on and then crossed for Armstrong to fire the ball home from the edge of the 18 yard box, with their only shot on target. Not a bad view, got a programme and the choice of food is good. I like watching football at these type of stadiums, where you are right down the front and the action at points is right infront of you. Don’t usually compliment the refs, but he seemed to handle the game really well and even when pulling players back for stealing yards at throw ins, he wasn’t overly authoritarian about it.

Brilliant television. Harry deserved it, the rest, outwith Jaz, were thick as f**k and deserved nothing.

Agree Jaz would have been deserving and Andrew seemed like a no bad dude, wouldn’t have minded him winning being honest. Jaz would have been raging when he found out.

There's no parking restrictions in the streets round about on a Saturday - if you don't mind a five minute walk then park in East Fettes Avenue.

If you do mind a five minute walk you're a fat git... .:P

🤣. Not at the moment, but by the time i go back to work, there is every chance i will be.

    Cheers Tam, do appreciate it.

  10. Zak will be so proud of himself, but letting him and jasmine go at it tomorrow night and picking one of them and murdering the other tomorrow would be a clutch play. Let Andrew be outed as “the final traitor” and win the cash for himself. Hate the cocky wee shite, but fair play to him.
