  1. Strapp in the Telegraph today saying that he has no interest whatsoever in leaving Morton at the moment.
  2. I'm sure you know what you mean, but certainly not that we scored 34 in six games under Johannsson.
  3. Hopkin has more or less said that Strapp will get the chance to make the left back slot his and I think he will. McAlister can cover at wing back, particularly on the right but he got played all over the place last season, so who knows?
  4. Really liked this part of the tribunal ruling, "Mr McKinnon was particularly unimpressive in his evidence and we were unable to accept that he was a sufficiently credible witness for his evidence to be relied upon by us..." Great reputation to have when you are trying to deal with players and their agents.
  5. A statement added: "We have already expressed our grave concerns over the way this matter has been dealt with by the SPFL and consider that this decision has serious consequences for the future movement of players and managers in Scottish football." When you are in a hole the best thing to do is stop digging, but not Falkirk. Instead of a mature 'We will study the ruling before responding', they criticise the SPFL and their procedures. That will go down really well, will it not?
  6. I wasn't having a go at the club at all....... on this issue they have probably got it right. It's the fans on here I was referring to.
  7. I am not a Falkirk fan, but like many Falkirk fans I am not at all pleased this has happened. However the reason that so many are getting involved is because of the nonsense being spouted about who heard what and whether it was illegal or not. It is entirely irrelevant whether the player clearly heard the abuse or if what was said /shouted was reported to him, the end result is the same. Similarly all this quasi-legal stuff, whether intentionally or not looks like a plea for mitigation. Just come out and say 'no ifs, no buts, it's entirely unacceptable and we should find and ban the culprits'. I doubt that any Scottish football club can honestly say they have never had any issues of this kind, but thankfully they are becoming increasingly infrequent but you seem at the moment to have the terrible knack of making a bad situation even worse.
  8. To be honest McKinnon's appointment with us was not greeted with great enthusiasm and there were concerns expressed about the quality of the squad he had put together. He wasn't in place long enough for us to judge whether he was a good appointment or not. All of the bitterness and resentment relates to the manner of his leaving, nothing else.
  9. If you don't you deserve any success he brings you. Ian McCall said in an interview on BBC that it was going to be a very difficult decision for the club. Time alone will tell.
  10. Ayr's season may well be defined by whether they decide to cash in on Shankland in the January window or let him move on for nothing at the season end. I suspect it will be the former and with him will go any outside chance they have of winning the league. Whether they can then hold onto a playoff place, who knows.
  11. I thought at first that you had actually got a copy of their submission.
  12. 'and written representations to the SPFL board made on behalf of both clubs involved' So what does that mean?
  13. Aye so I am! In a statement the SPFL said: “Following receipt and consideration of a complaint from Greenock Morton FC, and written representations to the SPFL board made on behalf of both clubs involved, the SPFL board has determined that a complaint be issued in terms of Section J of the SPFL Rules alleging breach and/or non-compliance by Falkirk FC with SPFL Rules D9 and/or D10, arising from the circumstances of the employment by Falkirk FC of its new management team.
  14. You really should keep up with things. Your order of events is all over the place, possibly deliberately, and the SPFL announced that after consideration of the documentation submitted by each club they had come to the view that Falkirk had a case to answer Incidentally Ray McKinnon stated after he left that he had the greatest respect for Crawford Rae both as a person and as a club chairman. Also one of your fellow supporters said of your chair 'She really should stop having these forums because the more she talks the more lies she tells'. Interesting comments.
  15. Actually it's all getting a bit silly. If the shoe was on the other foot Falkirk or indeed any other club would be taking the same action as Morton and the fans of said club would have behaved /be behaving in a similar manner too. To suggest differently is either to be hypocritical or delusional. Now we await the conclusion of the tribunal and then we move on, but as is the nature of football the repercussions will rumble on for years to come every time the teams meet.
  16. Except that Crawford is actually talking to Joe Harper. Might still be saying the same thing I suppose.
  17. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Lewis Strapp is our first choice left back before too long. As you say Iredale is good going forward but Strapp is too and defensively he is probably stronger. But we do need a good right back.
  18. Hard to believe re Russell and Tiffoney. If the offers were withdrawn we would lose out on compensation and we can't afford to throw money away. Would be sorry to see Jai leave although we haven't seen much of him for a while. Will a Livi who are not exactly cash rich be prepared to take him on with a first team wage and pay compensation too? I doubt it but time will tell.
  19. I think Pepper has played at right back previously in his career and I would like to see him given a run there, certainly in the pre-season games. He offers far too much to be on the bench every week and would offer a real threat going up the right as with Russell on the left. It might be a bit hard on Kilday who featured in more first team games than any other player last season but I was never really confident with him there, he lost the ball too often trying to go forward and his positional sense was generally poor.
  20. A Great Feeling at Cappielow......................................................................... Just got a whole lot better
