Don't see why the Meet the Board section of the day would be restored unless they have a definite announcement to make on the club's future. Can't see them just turning up to be grilled and only able to respond with meaningless platitudes.

I'm the opposite. Im hoping this will last another 6 or 7 weeks.
Far more entertaining than the pish served up on the pitch. Maybe by that time Caldwell will be out the door.
This Caldwell thing you have. Is it purely because Doolan was released?
To my mind the team, squad and overall performances are an improvement on what he inherited from Archibald

What the hell is going on at Thistle!?
The previous board are unhappy at being shunted and are using their tame journalist contacts to bad mouth the club and the new board.

My big fear is the way our full backs were left without cover the entire game.
We've al! thought the big problem lay up front but at the moment an obviously weak defence is receiving absolutely no support from a midfield which doesn't seem to know the basics

For me the big concern is the defence which doesn't seem to be getting better with games.
Overall a fair bit to be p!eased with but defensively absolutely no progress.

Correct.
I give a shit about what goes on at the club, so obviously I was interested to hear what the manager had to say regardless of whether I like him or not.So what has Caldwell actually done that makes you want him out so much?

Fantastic. I’ve said that I won’t be buying a season ticket until Low, Britton and Caldwell get to f**k. Two down, one to go.So just what has Caldwell done to annoy you?

This morning convinced my pal to fly up from Coventry for his first game of the season, a drunken away day to Arbroath. Booked his flights then this news comes hours later. Seething is an understatement.
I had two caravans booked. Nine of us were going to make a weekend of it. Couldn't book Corporate (best I've ever done) but there's a McDonald's next to the Caravan Park

Touche, Prof. The shouting match in the Thistle fans forum has raised an interesting point about the shareholding the Jags Trust has.
I was under the impression the Jags Trust cannot sell its shareholding or cannot sell without board approval. Does anyone know if this is the case? Are all share transfers or share sales subject to boardroom approval?
I'm fairly certain that this was the arrangement agreed when the shares were being allocated.

I guess the appeal of fan involvement in the running of Thistle was gone about seven or eight years after Save The Jags. It went from an open door to ill concealed hostility - for whatever reason. With that, it became a regular old business where the fans/customers were consulted at point of sale.
Nothing I'll conceived about the hostilty.

You'd assume those with shares in Firhill Developments Limited and shares in PTFC would be involved too? Otherwise the Propco could prove to be a sticking point in negotiations?
Sorry, I can only comment on what happened after the 'Save the Jags' campaign.

Fail to see what else they could say.

McMaster passed his on to his children so it's reasonable to assume that that's where a fair proportion
of the 55% shareholding comes from.
As said, shares provided solely to ensure safe stewardship of the club for future generations suddenly became
payment in kind for work done during 'Save the Jags'.

Caldwell has previously stated he didn't spend much of his transfer budget in January, we've got £250k - £400k for Lindsay and now £350k for what is in effect a squad player.
He won't get it all but surely Caldwell must have (in Thistle terms) a reasonable budget to improve the squad

Pleased with this.
Good signing and certainly in the short term a huge improvement on what we've got

If he sacks Caldwell he has my 100% backing.
Until then, im so indifferent about the Club, i'm beyond giving two shits about it.
Honestly don't understand that.
Thought Caldwell did ok and has to be given a full season

It’s fake news to get the fans talking about something else other than the severe lack of signings
So this fake news emanated from Firhill?

Nope, it'll be the real Thistle

Yet again the support are left in the dark.
what's the problem with announcing how much well get from Lindsay's transfer?
Saying that, if Alan Nixon is quoting a fugure, that's the figure we're getting

Utter nonsense.
not arguing with your assessment of the team's chances but Caldwell's playing without a budget to improve his squad. You honestly think that given the choice that would have been his front line tonight?
