  1. Without Rangers, the top league of Scotland will only ever be one by one club and often by a considerable margin. How long before that scenario totally destroys Scottish football? Ok, a two horse race may not be ideal and fears of Armageddon so far seem unfounded but you seriously can't believe Scottish football will flourish without a strong Rangers at the forefront.
  2. Bit unfair. I'm only calling it as I see it. I've had a good read back and it doesn't appear unusual for relative newcomers to get stick and have their credentials questioned but you more than most, seem to dismiss every new kid as being some sort of impostor or alias of a banned poster. Is it some sort of P&B initiation? or are you all just so precious of your wee clique? I heard this was a fun board but this forum seems full of all sorts of the bitter and twisted. I'm a Rangers fan who believes we will survive our current problems and rise to the top again. I attend as many games as I can and will continue to do so, even if the team was full of kids and we lost the odd game. No one can deny Rangers belong at the top level of our game, our fan base is massive, so it is inevitable. The others are having their bit of fun at our expense now but even they know that's not going to last, no matter how much they try to cling on to anything that looks like it will prolong it. Lighten up and remember who we are.
  3. Don't mind a bit of banter but the personal insult from someone who doesn't know me, shows you up a bit. How would you feel if I told you my wee brother was a halfwit? he's not btw but you would feel bad wouldn't you? You need to be careful about these things. Anyway, I don't sell papers. I used to sell papers, as I said around Ibrox but many years ago. Back on topic. Detached how? I've read some of your stuff and you have often claimed that the football authorities in Scotland will do anything to keep Rangers on track for as quick a return to the top as possible. This is something I agree with you on and I also agree that it is right and correct that this should be the case. We will cut costs but not to the extent that it would hinder the progress through the leagues. I'm not worried because, at this time, there is no reason to be worried. McCoist is certainly a liability as team manager but a change of backroom staff with McCoist taken off team duties, will solve this and that is what I expect to happen. This failing and we really do look like being delayed, there will be a meeting of all relevant parties and a 'solution' found. I know it, you know it, everyone fkg knows it.
  4. I'm assuming it will be easier to get shot of Durrant than McCoist and if we are to get by with lesser players then we are going to need someone else doing the manager's job. McCoist can do whatever the fk Durrant does now. We will not be getting pumped on the park as long as McCoist is locked in a cupboard during team tactics talks. Dundee will be promoted, Hearts will be useless. We may lose one or two of our first 11 but the others that go are likely to be the ones being paid to sit in stand and I haven't seen anything yet that indicates cuts anything like what you are indicating. Talk about panic merchants.
  5. Some of us had an early start today. I missed it and having had a look back, I can't believe the pages of absolute fk all about anything. If I had been on I'd have had a good laugh at all your slobbering pish. ETA Highlight especially for you teach. Once again for the dimmest of dim, Rangers FC are in no danger of collapse - on or off field - We are coming back to reclaim our rightful place at the top of your inadequate wee league and nothing will stop us. Live with it.
  6. Not on my watch he hasn't. There's rules regarding pitch territory.
  7. Don't know what all the fuss is about. CEO announced at AGM that there would have to be cost cutting this season and now he's attempting to implement those cuts. There will be no admin, he is just being prudent whilst seeking out the levels of investment/sponsorship that a club of Rangers' size needs to progress to the level it should be at. Everyone I know agrees we don't need to be paying out the wages we are for the level we are at. If we had had a half decent manager, it would have made a massive difference. So the players have not immediately agreed to a pay cut, don't believe it has been rejected out of hand btw. Something will be negotiated with the players. FWIF I don't think an across the board per cent cut is fair on the young boys as they are not on the huge wages. The big earners take a bigger cut. Anyway a solution will be found to balance the books and get the club through, no worries. We have a big lead and will easily finish top this season. Even after the necessary and temporary cost cutting, the team will be too strong for The Championship next season, although it may be wise to bring a new 'assistant' in to 'help' Ally (don't think binning him an option). I'm sure by this time next year, our commercial side will be doing a lot better and I don't see crowds dipping dangerously even with a price hike. With the bunch of slobbering dafties on here last night, you'd think there was something seriously wrong. Fkg mentalists. ETA seriously instead of serious for the pedantic fkwits.
  8. That's a true story and your final comment makes you the saddo. My, this is a bitchy crowd.
  9. Hey don't knock the paper round. I used to have the 'pitch' around Ibrox, covered The Wee Social, Edmiston & The Rolls Royce Club etc. One night it was really pishing down and I was completely drenched head to toe, standing outside The Edmiston. This guy in a very rich looking coat, stopped and asked ''Hey son, do you have to sell all those papers before you can go home?'' I replied that I did, as I needed the cash. He gazed at the pile of Sunday Mails by my side, took out his wallet and peeled off £60 saying ''Get yourself home and dried off before you get pneumonia''. He smiled, shook his head and went inside. I smiled, stayed and sold all the papers.
  10. With a BMI of 17, what do you think? I freely accept we don't need to be spending the wages we have been, to skoosh the lower leagues and I don't think Ally has got 'it' as a football manager but there's still no chance of a second admin event. I once earned 3x times what I do now and guess what? I spent 3x times what I do now.
  11. Don't know how you can come to that conclusion, I was simply pointing out that you guys were clinging on to some hope of a re-run of events of 2012 that would in no circumstance be allowed to happen. The SFA have as good as given Rangers a permanent 'get out of jail free card' and stick in your craw as it may, the simple reality of Scottish football is, Rangers and Celtic (albeit to a lesser extent) are Scottish football. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Absolute pish Like I said, dream on. It just is not going to happen, regardless of how badly the board run things.
  12. As Ally McCoist has recently stated, ''Our higher gate revenues allow us to pay higher wages''. This allows us to attract better players and having better players than the opposition, generally leads to being more successful than that opposition. We have no debt and are on the way back. DM chased a dream and it went wrong. Under present circumstances of football in Europe, no club from Scotland can be expected to win the CL and so everyone agrees that Rangers won't be replicating DM's dreaming. Rangers will still go on to dominate in Scotland though and achieve relative success in Europe until the football landscape inevitably changes and then we shall be ready to take our rightful place at the top table. As for any 'second helpings' for you lot, with regard to our wee set-back, I think you'll find that the football authorities of Scotland have no appetite at all for any repeat and will not allow any such thing to happen. I know this makes you all want to explode in rage but them's the breaks. ''Scottish football needs a strong Rangers'' Stewart Regan (SFA) 14/01/2014
  13. Not expecting Robin Van Persie to show up any time soon, if that's what you mean. I do believe we will continue to sign the best of Scottish and should be able to pick up guys on the brink of honours for major countries like Holland, as Celtic have done with Van Dijik. They've also managed to get full Swedish & Norwegian caps. Anything they can do, surely. Players who are not going to go straight to a top half EPL club but may get to that level. FFS I'm not suggesting we win the CL. Anyway, it's a school night. Toodle pip.
  14. Rangers will attract and sign a better quality of player to that that would be available to any other club in Scotland and that will do for the next ten years or so, then who knows what will be happening re TV monies to the bigger leagues, the formats for Euro comps etc. It will be enough that we will once again dominate domestically and be Scotland's rep in CL more often than not. It's inevitable and the 'laughing and pointing' crew better get themselves prepared for it, for as sure as night follows day, the tables will be turned. WATP!
  15. So trying to remain positive, whilst all these twats are doing their 'laughing and pointing' routine is nonsense. How so? I have no doubt at all, that Rangers will be back at the pinnacle of Scottish football, sooner rather than later and will be signing players of international standing both at home and abroad. We will be back in the CL and will attract top players. Are you seriously suggesting once back in top division, we should settle for top six finishes for a few seasons? That will never be allowed to happen. Maybe we will have to settle for second on the first season or two while we settle in but that'd be about it. Rangers will always attract big money, both investment and sponsorship. You're just punch drunk mate.
  16. No one disputes King's wealth though. Your the one with the misplaced head pal.
  17. Just after AGM he was in papers reiterating his desire to invest and help the club get back to the top.
  18. Dave King has said he'll invest big and help board raise further investment. I'm just being positive. Are you suggesting he was bullshitting. The fast buck investors will sell off soon enough and The Rangers will be run by fans with mega money. this is how it should be and how it will be.
  19. Yes and you lot will have won your last title. One more season in the slums and then put your mob back in their place and onto Champions League glory.
  20. Naw. The South African based multi millionaire true blue Rangers King. There will be a team of full internationalists playing at Ibrox next season as the mighty Gers romp to yet another title.
  21. McCoist's pay cut has been signed off this week. I accept this probably wouldn't have been front page news in Yorkshire, so you get the benefit of the doubt and escape a berating.
