  1. I got bored waiting for Desdemona to do her thing. Kill some time she said.so I went for a wee walk through the Pridwyn. Major disappointment that it was so easy to kill everybody. Even Danse in his armour. Suppose I'll need to clear the airport now. Desi is still not for getting those synths out.
  2. Clarkson on form is a decent player. Clarkson off form is a passenger. He either dominates a game with his physical play or he's posted missing. There's nothing in between. There are guys I'd take from Dundee. Moore and Lidhammer would be nice. As would Sacchetti from Fife.
  3. Poor Billy. I decided to try to progress the main plot. Now level 59 and an enemy of BoS. Working for the railroad whilst infiltrating the institute
  4. I expect both Meyer and Keith to retire, or at least to return home. Both have become fathers this year. Expecting your wife to raise a newborn in a country where she doesnt have her family as a support network whilst you play hockey? Thats a huge ask.
  5. Clan have won 1 game in 8. We've scored 4 in 4 games - exactly 1 goal a game (not just an average - we haven't been shut out) We've conceded 13 in those same 4 games. We're 4 goals from 137 shots. We're scoring less than 3% of the shots we take. Those numbers tell the story of the end of our season. I watched last night's game through my hands. We took a first period lead but managed 19 shots on Trevor Koenig all night. 19 shots on goal in a must win game. Thats absolutely pathetic. We're not missing Eichel and McDavid here - it's Scott Pitt and Matt Keith. The guys we have should be able to put up more of a fight. We've still got so called offensive options in Leavitt, Brooks and Meyer. We've got a fully fit D. Manchester were shorter than we were both nights and beat us in 2 successive games. No excuses. We're a piss poor hockey team and have been at various parts of the season. It was clear back in October that this D was going to let us down and that we lacked any kind of physicality or plan B going forward. We couldn't cope with injuries to 2 players. Its unacceptable. A massive rebuild is needed this summer. The guys we have at the club don't have the heart or the testicles to fight for the wins. The coach can't drag improvements out of them. A full scale change is needed.
  6. £8 for the Stars webcast is excellent value. It's a good quality stream with fair commentary. The alternative is £30+ to travel to Dundee to watch the game. I like Dundee as an away trip but right now its a tough ask. Clan lose tonight and the conference is gone. Its that simple. We've gone 3 games where we've had 118 shots on goal. We've scored 3 goals. Those same 3 games? 11 conceded. Those are simply unacceptable numbers. Taxi for Finnerty. He'll get til the end of the season but he should be sacked as soon as the Clan's play-off tilt is over. Which will likely be before the Nottingham weekender.
  7. Maybe. Not sure yet. Im tempted to do the Bellahouston fair in the morning, Oxfam, Ruthven Lane and the QMU fair at lunchtime then the game.
  8. New shop in Partick? Need to check that out. Will be going to the fair in Bellahouston tomorrow. If I'm early then I may check this new Partick shop first. Oxfam Music on Byers Road can be decent too.
  9. The only thing of genuine merit is the new area with additional weapons and armour. The ability to build a droid companion? Meh. The ability to trap animals or raiders? Meh. And whats the deal with the season pass? If your pass expires, is the DLC locked?
  10. Some of our fans are idiots. 1 goal from 44 shots but fans blame Holt for last night's loss. Its crazy. The league is over. We can forget about anything like a title shot and to be honest I think 2nd is beyond us too. Finnerty's post match interview suggested that we're not getting our injured players back any time soon and after the huge conference weekend next weekend, we've got games against Nottingham and Belfast. We're in a poor position right now - our injuries are making a bad situation worse, but if you can only score 1 goal on 44 attempts then there are bigger issues than a lack of numbers to worry about. Meyer has been off the boil all season. Brooks is left trying to do everything himself. Neil Trimm is Neil Trimm and we gave up an 18 goal/point a game guy for undisclosed off ice reasons. Best case scenario is we scrape the conference. Fife have points on the board and must be considered favourites. Dundee will fancy their chances of taking advantage of our injury problems and Manchester will see another 2, or even 4 points, as being a realistic proposition in their fight for a play-off spot. Sooner this season is over, the better. We've got too many players who are too similar. I also think it's time for Finnerty to go. Last season was a sore one but it should have given us a good base to build on. Instead we seem to have gone backwards. We had the physicality ripped out of the team by losing Salters, Frank and Fitzgerald. The latter 2 were prone to taking stupid penalties, but we havent exactly been squeeky clean this season. We're still taking the stupid slashes, trips and hooks but we don't have the physical play of Frank or Fitzgerald in return. On their game? They were actually decent enough in their own zone. Jackman and Gotz aren't the safest and both Aarssen and Fritsch have looked poor compared to last season. Then there's Hartmann. He's clearly not capable of contributing regularly any more and I'd question why we needed to sign a bench coach and a bench assistant who could be used in dire emergencies only? I've never been convinced that Finnerty and Hartmann work well together and on game night you see them at opposite ends of the bench refusing to talk to each other. Sure they'll each have their own area of influence, but I'd expect to see them engage each other in a bit more discussion. It's worrying that they say nothing to each other during play. There could be something one spots that the other doesnt and bouncing ideas off each other may lead to an opening identified and exploited. I just dont like seeing them not interacting during a game. We have a major rebuilding job ahead this summer.
  11. Never really had a problem with Mirelurk Queens. I've always got plenty of grenades so tend to fire those at her. Follow up with rifle/shotgun of choice and keep on the move.
  12. Pain in the arse. Early building/scrapping frenzy means I can somehow no longer build machine gun turrets and am short on materials such as steel. Trying to kit out Spectacle Island. I suspect I'll need to give up an evening of hammering the Corvega factory and the weird toy horse place to bag some kit. That and hammer Preston's quests and bag/scrap everything I can. And to top it all off, Curie is gone. Got her a nice new body more fitting of her hot French accent. Sure I sent her to Sanctuary when swapping out for either Cait or Piper but I can't find her.
  13. Settlers are a pain in the arse. Trying to defend The Castle and the feckers keep running in front of me when I'm shooting at raiders/gunners. End result is that they immediately turn hostile and attack me when the raider assault is over.
  14. Not just about numbers Gary. Clan were 3 players down on Fife. That in itself shouldn't be fatal. The problem with this Clan side is that we have no physicality. No forward who will hit opponents hard. Nobody who will plant themselves in front of the crease and either screen the goalie or look for redirects. It reduces us to a very light weight team. It isnt a new problem. We didn't recruit well in the summer and we didn't address that when guys were available. We then lose our bwst 2 way guy to injury and trade the only forward capable of physical play for another light weight playmaker. everything we did last night was 1 dimensional. There was no plan b. No physical option. That didn't happen overnight. Thats been our problem since the start of the season. Same with our D. Jackman is a liability, Gotz isn't physical enough and both Aarssen and Fritsch are having poor seasons. Sullivan is our 2nd best D. Thats not a good situation to be in. Even full benched, we've had painful losses to Fife, Dundee and Edinburgh and weve shipped leads against Nottingham and Sheffield. We didn't suddenly encounter these problems because of 2 injuries. The 2 injuries are just a reminder of what has been missing for the whole season.
  15. Clan offence now is all about cycling the puck or creating odd man rushes. Opposition forwards can close our offence down with some really good defensive work. Always have somebody pressuring the man in possession. Force us to play the puck rather than letting us decide when we want to play it and we'll be uncomfortable. If the Clan have to dump it in, chances are we're not coming out of the corners in possession.
  16. Tonight wasn't poor from the Clan. We played the only way we could. With absolutely no physicality in our forwards, the only way we could even hope to compete tonight was to cycle the puck and hope to drag Flyers players out of position or play fast on the break and try to create odd man rushes. We got a bit of success too and forced Brown into a few good saves. That glove save in the first period was highlight reel stuff. But we couldn't keep it going and the tempo dropped in the 2nd. Flyers looked physically stronger. The 2+10 call on McIver may be costly. I didnt get a good view of it and I'll wait til the video highlights come out. The call on Brooks was a sore one. As Finnerty said in his post match interview, it was a punch to the head rather than a check so the 2+10 call was weird. Definitely a call and Brooks was definitely head high but it was more of a poor punch. To make it worse, he had his stick in his hands. Ultimately we didnt have a plan B. We couldn't apply any kind of physical pressure on the Flyers without risking our D being pulled out of position and our forwards just aren't capable of playing physical hockey. We didnt have a presence in front of the crease or in position to pick up rebounds. We played as well as we could given the players we were missing, but this only really highlights how much we miss a Salters-type player. Tonight wasnt about a lack of effort. It was about lines thrown together that were trying to play the only style of hockey they could. Can't fault the guys for effort tonight. All it really does is highlight the gaping holes in our squad that have been there all season. No real physical forwards and limited toughness. With Keith missing, we didnt even have his normally reliable 2-way play. Game like that was made for Bruton to impose himself but events off ice meant the club decided to punt him. No offence to Neil Trimm - he is what he is (a playmaker who isnt good at defending and isnt physical) - but he doesnt give us what losing Bruton took away. We didnt replace Salters, Fitzgerald and Frank toughness from last season and we didn't replace Roehl's chippy play. The injury problems and impending GB call ups only really highlight the problems we've had all season.
  17. IIHF have a deadline for ITC transfers. Ends this week. That'll stop Clan from signing players not already in the UK. Gives us a couple of days. The Bruton deal was poor business and done for off ice reasons. We desperately need 2 big, strong power forwards. The GB call ups don't help us either. Would love to have Cownie back but I don't see it happening.
  18. Gallagher never looks comfortable no matter where we play him. Isn't a winger. Isn't a striker. Isn't a central midfielder. It's frustrating because we always seem to shoehorn him into the side. Fleming was poor yesterday and at times he looked frustrated. If shoehorning Gal in means Fleming being so poor then Gal needs to sit on the bench. Fleming gives us more than Gal when playing centrally.
  19. Which could be said of yesterday's cup game too. We really didn't have a go.
  20. USS Constitution. Side with the robots or the scavengers?
  21. I suspect there may be a new faction with a faction-specific series of missions, a new companion or an expansion to the world map.
  22. Pixies without Kim Deal is a poor imitation
  23. Romance. Banged Piper, obviously, and she adores me. But theres something about a french accent that turns me on. And I'm a sucker for redheads. So the important question Any problems running multiple romances? Do you need to base them at different settlements? Or are they all happy together in a Sanctuary Hills harem?
  24. Nope. And f**k me if the one I bought isn't £15 or there abouts on Amazon. The one I didn't? £30. Mild-mannered, soft-voiced b*****ds.
  25. At a gig last night. Headliner had 2 vinyl albums on the merch stand. Normally expect to pay £20 for vinyl from a merch stand. £40 in my wallet so fancied getting both. How much? £25 each. Its idiotic. At £20 a pop I'd have bought both lps. Still bought 1 but I'll now buy the other from Amazon (nobody else will stock them). I'd rather buy direct at a gig but that was too pricey. £25 from the band's merch stand? Crazy.
