  1. Yes but what if another team comes in for him now and covers more of our wages than we can? Or even pays some money for him? I trust the club to do the best they can but the truth is, other clubs have more money than us, championship clubs, and he's doen more than enough with us to out himself in the shop window.
  2. You have no idea of his wages so your clutching here. He's in serious money and way outwith our budget unless he takes a decent cut. He might, but it's hardly likely if another better offer comes along.
  3. It only makes sense if it's financially sensible for both player and club. I'd bet he's on a fair whack and may well be too expensive for us. However, if we could extend his loan and get promoted, would we then be able to afford him? Maybe. Could be our best shot.
  4. Yeah I think there'll be better offers for him and he has no loyalty for us, understandably. Hope is all we have. On that note, I hope Rico does one soon enough and moves on. It's the best for both parties now. Then we can get on with bringing in a LB who actually wants to play for the team and give his all and get McGill into midfield where I think he'd do superbly for us. Add a fit Kerr or new CB to have the option of McCabe in CM if McInroy goes and we are looking good. Oh and a wee striker on loan would be good too if possible.
  5. A superb first half, a Lacklustre 2nd half. Stepped off the lace a wee bit too much when I'd have liked to see us Dish out a real hiding. We've the worst goal difference of the top 4 so should have gone hammer and tong to score more IMO. Still, a great win and comfortable watching. Next week's game will be harder so we can't have the same lapses in defence that we got away with today or we could get punished. Looks like Dowds return to Falkirk has given them a real lift.
  6. Well they seem to be pretty decent now by all accounts, as well as huge improvement on the pitch. Maybe Murray is now getting to run things himself and his way...
  7. Seems very coincidental that his ITK accuracy dried up about the same time as Millar moved on. Anyway, tomorrow should be a home win, but still never able to relax enough. to be confident of a win. Fingers crossed as usual.
  8. I reckon some ITK posters on here get their info from people who aren't even involved with the club anymore, so I'd take most things with a pinch of salt on here these days. If Murray is offered more money and security then he might look at it. Are Ayr a better long term proposition to us? Doubtful IMO.
  9. Let me be the first to say that I hope its not Murray you're after. Paul Hartley though. You can take him. He's decent.
  10. Because they're desperate as feck? Guaranteed most of your fans have booed him every time he's played against you and now many of those same panto fans like the idea of him being signed. Comical stuff.
  11. But it wasn't a cryptic message. It straight out named someone we are supposedly interested in. So the next thing you know, it can become a story in a tabloid, which could alert another manager of a certain players availability so they enquire and maybe sign them instead. It happens. Not sharing that sort of info reduces the chance of that happening. It might be a slim chance but still a chance and therefore still daft to do, just for likes and attention.
  12. If you don't think journos troll social media for potential stories to eek out then you've naive.
  13. This. Why do people feel the need to leak I formation that could technically go against the club? Why potentially alert media attention to something which could see our own club gazumped in signing a player as other clubs can jump on the band wagon and poach them? Mental.
  14. It is a very good price. Could you bring yourself to bet against your own team though?
  15. You actually seem to enjoy revelling in dropping wee crumbs of info in an attention seeking way. If you've actually got something factual to say why not just say it in full instead of being cryptic about it? And if you're not allowed to actually share it, then why bother posting at all? Honestly, it's ridiculous. Say it all or say nothing.
  16. That's why Frizzell wasn't in the squad the other night.but everyone else who was should be good to go, barring injuries of course.
  17. LB is priority but no doubt Murray has been working on that for weeks now. I'd be surprised if someone is not already lined up to come in. Possibly another loanee. I also reckon we will sign a very promising striker, potentially another loanee, who will help our promotion push and challenge Gall and Smith for a starting slot. Maybe a centre half but we do have 2 on their way back from injury so maybe not. Looking forward to seeing what McGill can add when given the opportunity in midfield. He's a talent.
  18. It's a tad over reacting to say our promotion push would be over if we don't keep McInroy IMO. Yes, it'd be superb to keep him but we've plenty other talented players, some to return from injury and also I am confident we will make some decent signings in January.
  19. A wonderful result and very pleasing performance overall. Looking forward to getting some additional players in and hopefully a few players out the door for the good of the team in H2 of the season. We need to continue this food form but you can see the confidence throughout the team and the positive impact its having. The guys are simply enjoying their football and working hard for each other, which makes for great viewing.
  20. Sure I've replied to a similar query before. Just because he has a left foot doesn't mean he'd be decent there. In my opinion he just doesn't have the legs for it. He'd not be able to get up and down the park and also lacks pace. He's playing his best position right now, breaking up play, moving the ball on quickly etc. Wouldn't move him tbh.
  21. Like it or not, McCabe has done well at the back, reads the game well and is pivotal in us playing it out from the back on the deck and not going for long punts. Having said that, his long balls ain't too bad either as Gall will testify to following his goal on Sunday. The question is, does moving McCabe to midfield strengthen our midfield more than it weakens our defence? For me, the answer is no.
  22. If it took managing Falkirk in Football Manager 2022 to understand how poor they are right now, then maybe football isn't for you
  23. Caves has Airdrie connections which probably explains his loan signing in part. Not had the opportunity though. One for the future I'm sure.
