  1. I've had a listen and a few things jump out right away. Is the family section being referred to that of the players families? So was the alleged comments made by another players family member? Secondly, if the witness has actually turned and spoken to the person in question, then surely they should have reported it to stewards there and then? Or at the very least, be able to provide a details description of the person? Ricos original statement said the club were supporting him as best they could. So has that changed and if so, how?
  2. Your clutching at straws. Picking bits of sentences from different responses for your own benefit. Whatever floats your boat. I think the club should or may have already involved the police don't see why not. But I'm just a fan so how would I know. Similarly, if Rico and his agent are unhappy and feel the club have swept allegations of racism under the carpet, then they should contact the police. If you can't get your head around that then that's your problem.
  3. Yet the new poster on here has provided info that states Rico didn't hear it himself. That's not to say it didn't happen of course. I am still amazed that nobody else heard it, just one person.
  4. I shall thanks. Its not that widely available or well known or someone would have mentioned what you did on here before now. Your insight into the specifics of the actual incident is by far the most detailed on here. By a mile.
  5. Me believing the clubs official statement is me believing that they are a club of integrity who wouldn't lie or cover up racism. If that turns out to be wrong, then I'd find it hard to continue supporting the club,. I'd also be very surprised that the club would even do that. Maybe I am. Being naive. Time will tell. My assertion of Rico and his agent taking it to the police is on the basis of them not being happy with the outcome. I'd be surprised if the club have not already involved the police. After all its a criminal allegation and the pice are best placed to carry out an investigation. Whilst the club statement could have been better, I don't see how it's contradicted itself. Do explain.
  6. You seem to be pretty well informed too so it seems. You've gone from being a proud Airdrie fanbwho decided to join their forum today saying "I'd like some more detail" to being the person providing some more details. And very specific details at that. So are we back to one witness or are there still 3 as the agent stated? For someone who claims to just be an Airdrie fan you seem to know a lot more information than has been made public. Please share more.
  7. I've not once said people are blindly accepting Rico's side of the story. I've also not once said I don't believe Rico. I don't even know what his side of the story is. I'm going by the club saying they have 1 witness and 1 witness only. If Rico's agent says there is more, I still think saying so on social media is the wrong way to go about it. They should deal directly with the club and then, if they feel the club are not taking it seriously, go to the police themselves.
  8. Please can you tell me what else you think the club could have done to investigate that they have not yet done?
  9. I'll keep this one short and sweet for you. I'd say that a lack of evidence and witnesses is pretty substantial. According to the clubs statement only one witness has been identified. ONE. From circa 200 people in the vicinity of the alleged racist abuse. That's pretty explanatory in itself that this one person can either identify the alleged offender or not. What more can the club do? I also stand by my suggestion that a players agent slating a club on social media is unprofessional. I can absolutely understand Rico's brother being emotionally driven to comment. I still think its unprofessional though, given they're both effectively calling the clubs integrity into question.
  10. Haha it really is quite pathetically sad that you're revelling in the idea of this being true. You come across as someone who is hopeful that someone was racially abused. That's pretty sick. Your clear hatred of Airdrie and Airdrie fans is hilarious.
  11. And there you have it. You believe a guy who may not have actually heard the abuse himself first hand. Meaning you're basing your whole attempt to gaslight on potentially incorrect information. Nice try though.
  12. But how can you hang someone out to dry when nobody has been formally identified? I don't see where you're going with this? It would be in the clubs best interests to identify someone if they found someone. And I think we'd all want that to be the case if they had found someone.
  13. Again, that doesn't actually state that he heard it himself. As has been said elsewhere, it may have been another players parent who believed he heard it and then informed Rico and the club. And as far as has been reported, that person remains the only person to come forward and say they heard anything.
  14. 1. Why do you, a fan, expect that the club should share every fine detail of their investigation with you? No other club does this. They've given you the overview which speaks for itself. Inconclusive. Not enough evidence. What more do you want? Who they interviewed? Were any early morning raids conducted? 2. Its not about blame. Its a simple case of being unprofessional in publicly airing your grievances instead of conducting yourself in the proper manner and dealing with the club directly. Slating the club on social media is amateurish at best. 3. You can wish him well. It's still irrelevant to the situation. 4. Why have you quoted the word "thorough" as if questioning the clubs investigation when you, claiming to be just an Airdrie fan, would know nothing about what they've done? That's just another assumption you've made. Unless you are someone who in fact does think they know more but are pretending to just be a fan? Especially since you only decided to join P&B today, or at least make a new account, to share your one sided views? ETA. Thanks for your comments too.
  15. Agreed, there was no need for that part of the statement. There's clearly a reason the club felt they needed to say that but I don't think it was needed. I do believe the club have done all they can in terms of investigate though. They don't benefit at all by covering anything up quite the opposite. However, actually finding hard evidence and identifying who did it and taking action to ban them and report them to the police? They'd be the heroes. So why would they not do that if they could? They haven't because they can't due to a lack of evidence, as said in the statement.
  16. Well that tells us all we need to know about you then doesn't it. Who needs evidence when you can believe hearsay instead. What a clown you are.
  17. Find one bit of evidence or communication that states Rico actually heard it himself. That's all I'm asking for. It's an assumption everyone is making and even portraying as to what happened. Yet I don't believe that's actually been said anywhere.
  18. Find one bit of evidence or communication that confirms Rico heard and reported it. I'll wait. You've just jumped to the same conclusion as everyone else without actually knowing what the facts are. Typical of social media. The club released a statement. The players agent and brother slated the club on social media.
  19. Aside from the fact that you created your Airdrie specific account 20ish minutes ago, presumably specifically to post this, you've made a few claims yet failed to back them up with any evidence. 1. You say the club's handling of this is pathetic and explained how simple it could have been. How do you know the club didn't do what you suggest they should have? Do you know if the witness was able to provide a description of the alleged offender? What if they were unable to? What then? Not quite the 'no brainer' you suggest. 2. How can you say on one hand the club has been pathetic, yet Rico has handled this the best way possible? Do you know what interaction and support he's had from the club? Both his brother and agent have been vocal on social media slating the club. How unprofessional can you get? You failed to comment on that I see....... 3. Him being 'extremely talented' is both debatable and yet irrelevant to this issue. 4. How do you know the club haven't tried to do the right thing? They've investigated and say they have insufficient evidence. What more do you expect them to do? Unless your 'in the know' you haven't a clue and your very one sided post severely lacks any evidence to suggest you know what you're talking about. If I am indeed wrong, please feel free to share the evidence you have to the contrary.
  20. How can you possibly have an opinion that the club haven't done enough based on a 'gut feeling' without actually knowing anything about what investigation the club has done? Same as saying the 2 week holiday, as you put it, is ridiculous without knowing what's gone on behind the scenes? You've no real way of knowing the reasons behind that decision unless you're involved with the club. It could be as simple as the players head not being in the right space, which would be totally understandable. Could be all sorts of reasons. We just don't know. But it's hardly ridiculous. You could argue that it'd be ridiculous playing a player in an important game who is at the centre of a very difficult and challenging situation and expecting him to be 100% focused.
  21. There is very little facts been shared, meaning people are making assumptions and drawing their own conclusions. All that's been said was there was a witness. Has it ever been said that witness was Rico himself? Did he actually hear anything himself? Or did someone else report it as has been suggested elsewhere? We don't know as it's never been clarified who actually heard or what was allegedly said. There was circa 200 fans there. And only 1 person heard anything? Nobody else has come forward to inform the club they witnessed anything? No descriptions of suspects have been shared. Why not? Do we not have any? If there's nothing more than that, what else can the club actually do? Ultimately if there has been racist remarks shouted, then it's a criminal offence and the police should be investigating. Maybe they are. We don't know. One thing that is known, the club have released a statement, maybe not the best statement in the world but they said they have not found enough evidence to take matters further themselves. They've no reason to lie or anything to gain from lying. However when agents take to twitter to attack the club, that only makes matters worse and it causes things to spiral.
  22. Happily go along with the club? So you're saying the club are lying about not finding sufficient evidence to take any action? Strong accusation that.
  23. Well done for proving yourself to be the gullible sort who believes everything they read on social media without actually knowing the facts. You've taken one tweet and drawn conclusions which you don't know to be factually accurate. What actual hard facts do you know about what happened, what investigation has taken place, what witnesses there are etc? I'm guessing you know fu(k all but don't let that stop your weak attempt at gas lighting.
  24. It's called professional courtesy you clown. Two players go down for the same team, you'll often see both physios helping out. As for your cramp comments, like it'd have made any difference. I'd have thought you'd have been pleased with a pause in the slaughter that went on today. You've bigger fish to fry than physios helping other teams and refs not getting a' fecking grip'.
