  1. To be fair to Dykes, the way we were set up meant that he had to win the ball and then try and create something from it. Midfield largely saw the ball go over their heads for a lot of the game and without support he was on a hiding to nothing. We are a far better team when we play the ball through midfield but to be fair to the Rangers they had our measure in that department . Games against them won't define our season , it's against St Mirren , Hamilton etc.
  2. Apart from the Rancid FC ticket allocation for games at Parkhead, how many seats are made usually available for away fans? How many away fans take up that full allocation? I guess that most clubs support would not fill the away end and that price is not the only reason this is the case, but would feature quite high on the list of reasons not to go. I agree that £25 to £30 plus is a rip off but I woul be pissed off if I had to pay £25 to go to see my team play at home and away fans paid £20. Something needs to be done but the economics of trying to keep a club like mine afloat dictate otherwise. At least we don't inflate prices for either yourselves or Rangers when they visit. Same price for all games home and away fans alike.
  3. Far too many misplaced or overhit passes today. When we do pass the ball on the deck we are a different side. Two wingers today in Souda and Stobbs , how many times did they get to byeline? Not convinced with Crawford, lot of running around but no end product. Spent a lot of time on his arse today. Get on phone to QoS and get Hamilton back, please. He might not be the answer to goal scoring probs but if we are going to persist with this long ball stuff he can support Dykes no bother.
  4. Looking at the state of that pitch, probably be better on paper.
  5. Lots of healthy debate on this topic. I started the thread because I dislike the loan system. The theory that you are/ maybe getting a better player in than you have on your books currently I think can be counter productive. In reality the only people the loanee wants to impress is his current bosses who will pay a substantial part if not all of their wages. It will also scunner the existing fringe staff who will see their first team chances diminish with each loan signing. is getting loan time at a lower division club who could be getting skelped each week, really helping development?
  6. Would there be better opportunity to develop players? would the standard of product on display improve/ decline? would we still be subjected to the same level dross each week? Discuss
  7. speculation so far, although these stories do seem to have legs i'll wait till it's announced on the OS .
  8. Two questions 1. When will the fourth stand be built? 2. Will you really need it ?
  9. John Hughes..... He never put on his boots for us but we had weeks of being skelped and him coming out with dross like - the boys showed character and we want to pass the ball. Ironic when we had performers like Darren Cole " shoring up" the defence. Remember being 2 down at home , forget who against, and a cry came out of the crowd for him to change things. He turned round and told the fan if he did not like what he was seeing he should go and spend Saturday afternoons shopping with his wife, (expletives deleted.)
  10. With these signings looks like Hopkin sees his future as well with Livi, for next season at least. Was apprehensive that the current squad would be broken up but these are two key players for us. Hopkin has proved he has an eye for talent and I think there are a few more signings in the pipeline.
  11. Well he's signed now. Good luck to the lad. Our management team must be doing something right to attract him to Livi if there was interest elsewhere.
  12. Good news then if it comes off . Is there not some rule about the number of teams you can play for in a year? The fact that he returned to his parent club, Hearts, after Cowdenbeath and ourselves not restrict a return to us.Not sure, just asking.
  13. Best of luck to Buchannan at Raith, but that is some dodgy polo neck he is wearing in the official site photos. Oh wait a minute, he is old enough to remember wearing them when they were in fashion first time round. Joking apart, Raith have got themselves a cracking player.
  14. Chances of a stadium renaming to "The Etihad Arena " for next season as new investors queue up to throw their millions at the Amber machine?
