That list as predicted includes names suggested by everyone on here this afternoon, however regardless of whether the daily record is making it up by looking at fans forums, there's not exactly anyone else you could think of...

Unless some random French junior football guy applies claiming to be the next Arsene Wenger and you take a punt on him.

I'm torn between McIntyre or Houston, think we need someone proven at this level which leaves Petrie and Murray even as risks IMO.

Question with McIntyre is if things were going v well and a premiership club came sniffing for him would he be tempted, i'd say yes. Club have to try and get someone in who's going to be committed to what will probably be a medium, 4-5 year plan to establish oursleves and maybe knock on the door of the premiership.

Can't get into the modern culture routine of changing managers every 18 months - 2 years.

Colin Caldwrwood and Stephen Pressley are out of work to and Gary Caldwell

Good to see we've attracted the usual "righteous", "holier than thou" crew.

Are you all the same person ? or do you always just operate as a gang and go around the forum hounding people that don't suit your simplistic, naive, childlike view of the world ??

    Who knows ?

Anyway, you're all on my ignore list so I'd suggest you do likewise with me since my posts and general attitude seem to upset you all so much.

Welcome to pie and bog roll

It's a difficult one. There are two lists

    Modern managers

    Darren Young

    Stewart Petrie

    Paul Hartley

    Paul Sheerin

    John Kennedy

    Graeme Murty

    Old heads

    Danny Lennon

    Jim Duffy

    Jim Mcintyre

    Kenny Sheilds

I think Ayr need a experienced manager to get them safe. Don't think Young or Petrie have enough experience to get them safe. I might be wrong.

Duffy would be my choice with Jimmy Nic as assistant

    😀😀😀😀

All the best to Kerr & McArdle

So we getting this list of potentials written down? These are the names I've heard mentioned already, some fill me with dread

    Stuart Kettlewell (gadz)

    Martin Canning (gadz)

    Jim McIntyre (gadz)

    David Hopkin (Zzz)

Derek Young (Top of my list on first thought)

Stewart Petrie (Would he shift from East Coast)

    Jonathan Johansson (gadz)

    Stephen Robinson (lol nae chance)

Anymore? Cant see us going for a rookie again, will need to be someone that has had his P45 handed to him a few times

James McFadden ex Scotland and Motherwell assistant would be good he must still harbour ambitions to be out on his own

Big name player in his day who has good links right around the country in different academies good mate of Dunxan Ferguson at Everton acadamy might get a few favours of him for loans

He’s a rangers fan! His name is ally and was hunted from the SRE as he was such a roaster. He had another profile which was dryhorse. He said he’d never be back to Somerset as he couldn’t take the risk over him getting a punch as he has a dodgy eye!

Prove it you think I am only person not to want to go back to Ayr?

Support has been dwindling for years for various reasons namely the horrible nasty side of the support been commented on by a lot of people not just myself

Glad wee Lawrence saw sence to leave as well  when something better came along
