Don’t think he would ever have been in Darvel’s park until his son signed and I’m no so sure any businessman would want to lose money week in week out , let’s take this month for example , no home games so 5 weeks wages at let’s say 5k per week and I’m probably on the low side here , lottery which he never wanted brings in lest say £6-800 , that’s a loss of £24,200 minimum ! no wonder Berwick rangers came out with their statement last week and John should do the same , at the end of the day what he’s done off the park has to be applauded but he can’t let this go on

I believe the weekly budget will be far more than when mick was at the club , there be players playing in the spl yesterday no on as much as one of our players weekly and stupid signing on fees being bandied about on 2 year deals ! bear in mind mick never took a wage out the club and his backroom Staff were hardly taking anything either so it’s no rocket science it’s going to be more on a weekly basis , I can’t believe John who has been a successful businessman of that there is no doubt has allowed this to happen , it’s just sheer stupidity and someone has to be held accountable for the paying of stupid transfer fees , stupid signing on fees and wages the club can’t afford, it quite simply can’t go on

Another shambles of a result and I’d imagine we are now at the crossroads ,does John gall stick or twist here ? I’m no sure what the wage will be but I’d reckon it will be 5k plus a week , we had our differences but even he can’t allow this to go on , some of the signings have been deplorable , the wages I do know of are nothing short of a disgrace at this level , huge signing on fees dished out and I’d imagine the Falkirk Aberdeen money has long gone , whoever gave the go ahead for the 20k signing of Jordan Moore has to be held responsible also , its nothing short of negligence and John has to take some of the blame for allowing it to happen ,if I was him the club needs to go back to what it was 4 years ago and be run with what is brought in thru the gate , sponsorship and lottery and if the current manager can’t go with that he needs to be let go

Mate u get the crowds to sustain good wages and the way the club Is Set up is the envy of most clubs at our grade but I’d imagine gates will start going down as we go into the winter months now , so forget what gos on at darvel u and I know that’s no going to continue for much longer , if it means Talbot spending 5k on 2-3 players and paying them what ur top players are on surely it’s worth doing to stay in the top division

I did predict this would happen and I don’t want Talbot to go down as it’s a great place to go to but even as early as next week if you don’t beat meadow you are in serious trouble , surely the purse strings must be opened or is it the management that can’t recruit players ?

I can’t comment on yesterday as no there but talking to someone who was at the game thought darvel were better team and Bo’ness goalie outstanding however that doesn’t take away from the last 2 results which have been terrible and will have blown a massive hole in the budget for this season , however I can comment on signings this season ,some have been ok some have been terrible , he said early on youth would get a chance so small and urquhart seemed to suggest that would be the case , small out on loan already and urquhart asked away and honestly 20k for Moore Cumnock must have seen them coming , it’s probably about 18 k more than the boy is worth , to say he’s been poor is an understatement ,and one or two of the signings have been ok but still nowhere near the level of the players who left the club , it could be a long winter as we haven’t played beith , Clydebank or pollok yet and if we had to lose a couple of them the season would be about over , to be messaging this middle Of September isn’t good
