    Highlights up on Facebook. That's some strike from the sub keeper Kev just a fraction too far off his line but take nothing away from the goalscorer. He'd not do that again out of another 99 attempts. We wasted a lot of chances (especially early on ) despite scoring two. Jack Hamilton didn't look too happy at either of the goals. Was he playing things down because it was against Arbroath?

    Feels very much like a defeat today after letting a two goal lead evaporate. Draws at home are worse than useless as is our inability to keep a clean sheet at home. There's still a long way to go but you just get a feeling that maybe the season is turning in United's favour, especially with the Pars away up next.

    Absolute pits of a day weather-wise, especially in the afternoon, according to the forecast ten minutes ago. Transient snow turning to heavy rain with strong gusts of wind. Not going to be too much silky soccer on show. Could well be a bit of a lottery as to which team adjusts better to the conditions.

    That was a reference to the strong wind which is still in the forecast today. I'm well aware of the rain shadow effect on the east (and, indeed , west) coast of the country. Never once mentioned a cancellation in the original post. Too many people read what they want to read rather than the actual content.

    Enduring a really rough day weatherwise here so decided to have a look ahead to the weekend for the game. Weather forecast for this isn't looking too good at all. As it stands, it's giving heavy rain and windy with some strong gusts just to put an edge on things. Nothing probably Arbroath aren't used to, but, overall, not conducive to silky soccer. This may change nearer Saturday.

    Noticeable was that with both the penalty equaliser and the fourth goal equaliser, there wasn't much celebration from the players. Just an urge to try and get another goal. Both times ball grabbed out of the net and hurriedly placed back on the centre spot. Just a tremendous desire to try to get a victory despite things not being the best on the night.
