  1. Was that the same much maligned Jimmy the Janny that was in charge taking us to 6th in the Premier League our highest top finish since the days of two divisions only? Surely some mistake? Nah! It couldn't possibly be him? Could it?
  2. Just make sure you're at least 2 metres apart!
  3. A magnificent piece of work. Huge congratulations to all involved. Highly recommend all supporters sit down and watch.
  4. Fred Panther indeed ran the shop on the corner of Pratt Street and Ramsay Road as a sweetie shop but also sold fags, tobacco and other day to day needs like fruit, milk, a loaf or butter. Went in as a kid on way to home games for sweets. He would have made quite a bit back in the 40's and 50's with the really big crowds every other week and no supermarket competition. There was always a queue on match day out along the pavement back towards William St. Fred was a centre forward in late 20's/early 30's. Came up from England and stayed the rest of his days. I'm not sure what club he was signed from. Maybe Hartlepool?
  5. And they were bloody lucky they got the fourth tier gig. Should have been put to rest for ever more. Thought because they'd been Billy big boys with masses (oops!) of fans supposedly generating loads of money in Scottish football that liquidation was of no great concern. Any other club (especially a newly formed one) and other than the one in the Parkhead area of Glasgow would never have been given that chance.
  6. We'd have been presented with it today even if it was wrapped up last week or the one before. It might even have been close enough for a helico....oh just realised! See lockdown...see brain dead.
  7. Or Peter Marseilles? Are the Marr brothers still about? Must be knocking on a bit these days if still to the fore.
  8. You have to wonder what would Marseille to all that?
  9. All in the name of a good old wind up, particularly for those of the opinion that they'd skoosh "this shit Seaside league" There's always one willing to bite.
  10. Me too! Also with the rest of the roasters in the team that came up short in second place. Shame indeed
  11. No vote as far as I'm aware. They were told that's it finished. Lyon are thinking of appealing as when the games finished they were in fifth but now have dropped to seventh (on points per game basis) so no European spot. They seem to be the only ones making a bit of a fuss. You'll get all the details on BBC Sport site.
  12. That's PSG declared Champions as France brings the season to a close. Only a matter of time here........ before the dossier appears. Aye! That'll be right. Lorient declared Liga 2 champs but only a point ahead of Lens. Both were promoted but two went down. All done on a points per game played basis.
  13. Never forget folks that Sevco has "a dossier of evidence" as per its club statement released yesterday. Will this ever make an appearance or will it be like days past when good old Alex Cameron always had a sealed envelope (and always on good authority) in his desk drawer on whatever matter was soaking the collective gussets of Glasgow Rangers or a few others in Scottish fitba' at the time.
  14. Cue lawyers for the non promoted clubs rubbing their hands together (after being washed and duly sanitised) in anticipation of a day or three in court.
  15. Aberdeen chairman now joining the Self Preservation League moaners demanding any reconstruction (should it get through) be for one season only then back to what we have. Also demanding the Donkey to show transparency over all decisions taken in last week or how long since Dundee vote went 'missing'.
  16. No social distance can be too far if you met DC! Nah! Just joking. Dick's sound enough and has been through the ill health mill in recent times from which he's either in remission or now fully recovered. Not sure which these days.
  17. Meaningless. Until confirmed by SPFL everything else is pure conjecture. Then you'll have to no doubt wait until court cases by Partick and Stranraer get settled. I just don't think this is the end, merely the beginning of another mess. I look forward to being proved totally wrong....asap.
  18. Nail absolutely clattered on the heid. Peter's or any others. Cup final or not, it's becoming to be more of a distraction and interference as the league games run out with not being able to play games at same time as nearest challenger in order to match or better their score on the day. More pressure on getting a result from the outstanding midweek game (in my opinion) than if played on the Saturday.
  19. Fixed that for you. We'll hae none o' this Bairns malarky here. Thank you.
  20. Geez! Thirty years! Does that mean even the halcyon days of the early to mid 90's weren't enough to bring him back into the fold. (Shakes head vigorously from side to side in disbelief.)
