  1. Bonnyrigg were desperate for the game to be on and you can see why. Yesterday was a classic scottish cup tie. Freezing cold, blowing a gale, pitch all cut up and Bonnyrigg dealt with it better, just one of those days for you guys. I've seen lots of upset comments from Falkirk fans about yesterday but from an outsiders point of view you're clearly a very good team, on top of league 1 with a bit to spare and got a semi final to play in another cup. Your season has a vey good chance of being successful still and I wish you all the best for it.
  2. Bonnyrigg fan here. That pitch was a leveler if not an advantage to us. I've been watching Bonnyrigg for 10 years now and as someone said earlier that their public park would be better and they're not wrong. I know at this time of year it's hard to get a decent pitch but recently ours has been bloody awful. You boys play some decent football but you couldn't on that, still had decent chances over the 90 as did we in the first half and if it were a league game as draw would've been fair. All the best for the rest of season, you'll be championship next year, no doubt about it.
  3. I thought Edinburgh and Stirling were allowed to sign whoever they liked? They didn't have to be students to play for them or am I mistaken?
  4. To say he's been poor is an understatement. I don't know if he was carrying an injury last season or picked one up and continued playing but as it wore on he looked worse and worse. I wouldn't be sad to see him and Faye go.
  5. Time for Robbie to go. I'm surprised he's not went before now but this team looks void on every level. No plan B when things go wrong and stale beyond belief
  6. Not being funny but cowdenbeath must have one of the most uneven surfaces going and they only dropped out last season! Bonnyrigg aren't perfect but the diddy club chat is horrendous. You have to give them at least a half decent chance to fix the issues. The ground has had major work done over the years and I'm sure if they stay in the league more work will get done
  7. Question for you. Who would you rather have in the league? If Bonnyrigg are a diddy club as you say then what does the make Cowdenbeath or Berwick? I don't understand this way of thinking, how dare a club like Bonnyrigg play league 2. Didn't they deserve it? Edinburgh City and Kelty have come through the pyramid and have been good additions. Give Bonnyrigg and chance, league 2 is tighter than a ducks arse. 2 wins and they'll be 4th
  8. I think a bit of both and someone said above. I like Mitchell, he was the only player who made their defence work yesterday. He's raw but I think there's a player in there, would maybe be good in a front 3 where he could move about and switch positions with 2 others. Don't know if he has a future at Raith but I'd say he's worth another shot in preseason should they want to give him a run.
  9. Dean Brett is struggling with a rib injury, I think they're bruised and shouldn't have been playing. Their number 11 was excellent in fairness and as you said Grigor didn't do much better. That was the worst I've seen Rose play in a long time. Something needs to change, it's all to samey. Horn plays the same formation but doesn't have the players to do it, by the time he changed it we were 3-0 down. Show some bravery and make the changes when you're still in the game, not when it's to late. Standing on the touchline with your hands in your pockets or looking at your watch won't make any difference
  10. Anyone know who the trialists are who played on Saturday and tonight?
  11. I liked Scott but the midfield we had back then was ridiculous so it made sense for him to move. I heard a rumour ages ago about us having first refusal on him but it's most likely rubbish. Written in the stars yogi would come back and haunt us but that's been coming for weeks. Hope you boys manage to get some players back and form
  12. I think the pitch will be unplayable again tomorrow. It's freezing in Bonnyrigg and that pitch will be hard. I hope I'm wrong just a feeling I have
  13. Hi everyone, hibs fan in peace here. I was wondering how Ben Stirling and Scott Martin have been getting on and what your thoughts on them are? Cheers
  14. Is he? How did I miss that? I genuinely thought he retired due to family and work commitments
  15. Just to clear something up, Moyes retired he wasn't released. Hoskins is a more than able replacement, knows the players and the expectations at Bonnyrigg. Honestly I can't say Baur impressed me much last season, he was so big that most of the time he didn't jump for aerial challenges. We've got arguably 2 of the best defenders in the league injured which would be hard on any team. It's a hard league, every game will be hard fought but there's still plenty time and recent results have been better
  16. Kevin Milne has left Penicuik, is he a shout for the job? Would make the next 2 games very interesting
  17. Dave McGlynn is who I'm hearing
  18. Hope so! I'm heading up there tomorrow, should be a cracking game
  19. I find that very sad you feel like that as I didn't feel any tension with fans today. You always get the odd shouts and disagreements but that lower league football, banter some would call. A couple of shire fans I spoke to afterword were nice and complimentary about everything. Only thing I'd say is that old guy who stood behind our goalie, his language and behaviour was appalling.
  20. I hope we're not almost full because we're short of central midfielders and another striker in my opinion. Singing Scott Gray is good but we now have 4 players all of a similar kind. The Gray brothers, Docherty & Swanson. We can't expect Stewart, Currie and Turner to play every week.
  21. Wasn't at the game today but noticed there were a few trialists. Who were they?
