Jackie McNafortune is a charlatan and a horrible wee dick. Yes, made a great spot in Robbo and a couple others but Zwick and Szromnik, Kuhl and Taggart and not laying a glove on the Fermers in the cup final (or any other game that season practically) outweigh that imo. Throw in the Celtic midnight transfer disaster along side getting two clubs relegated in one season then really he should be firmly in the"Fud" list along side Chisholm, Jobby McCall and Ray McKinnon please.

If my fading memory isnt failing me as im about to hit 40, Del boy applied and after the interview Tamsin chose McNafortune and not McInnes and the rest is...well...a train wreck that's still a smouldering mess on the line. The story I heard was McInnes swore too much in the interview. In hindsight I hope he called Thompson a baldy p***k.

I wouldn't say he's a chancer. I'd say he is a genuine but massively gullible millionaire that was sold a turkey by a complete charlatan. He's obviously a shite judge of character but I suppose most chairmen are! The manager situation is probably more important at this point and I am not convinced by Goodwin. How can he say "we lack a bit of quality in the final third" when we have a striker with the pedigree of Moult and a player we spent £150k on (wrongly imo) who should be banging goals in for fun at this level is a bit daft. I'd get rid of Goodwin regardless and I'd also punt any player out of Contract.

Fully agree. Raith have won games aplenty by one late goal. Its almost a running joke. Our play was so predictable and cumbersome at times it was boiling my pish. Id add that it felt like Goodwin was quite happy to play out the draw and only reacted when they scored a piledriver out of the blue by chucking folk on with seconds to go. I'd be happy to see most of this 'group' binned regardless of what league we're in. In particular Goodwin, Watt, Middleton and Grimshaw if possible.

We should expect, no, demand 3-0 wins in every game from now till the end of the season. If we fail to do so, Goodwin should be sacked and banished to Perth, Fife or some such hell hole for the rest of his career. If we don't get promoted then liquidate everything. I think that's fair and reasonable.

Until we're fifteen points clear then I'll never be confident about anything! We should have enough to win the league by a substantial margin but that's not a Dundee United thing. I'm also hoping (as it's nearing transfer window season) the tightness at the top between us and Raith forces the purse strings to open up and get a couple recruitments in. If we could somehow punt Birighitti, send home the defender on loan who's name I can't remember now, get a few backup options in then I'd be a little less concerned.

I eckon we're in for a dip in form for a few weeks / games. We always go to shit at some point in the season and seems very United to do it now. Genuinely not bothered about any cups and just want promoted so while I'm not overly fussed about going out I'm more concerned at the circumstances. Goodwin has some slack as we've been good in the league so far but he's got to steady the ship and keep the players focused. I've felt that for a wee while now. Watt isn't a long term option up front Imo and I'd like someone with pace up front as another option.
