  1. Anyone watched the interview with Aiden Connelly on Raith Tv....... Great player but did anyone else get the impression he comes across as a wee p***k?? Maybe it's just me
  2. Ken everyone is saying "we're not good enough for promotion".... "We're a mid table championship team". If that's the mentality then that's all we will ever be. What Ray is trying to do with regards to the positivity of the support, the players, the board, and the club is bang on.... It comes down to law of attraction... If you keep telling yourself something it will happen both on a positive and negative sense. We can be pessimistic and that won't get us anywhere.... A bit of optimism won't do anyone any harm. We will start scoring, we will finish in a playoff spot this season, the club is improving both on and off the pitch, we are a good team. If more people had this attitude then it would rub off on others. Negative thoughts will give negative results
  3. I think McKinnon will be forced to make a gamble as we can't get another proven over 21 striker on loan..... We certainly won't be able to afford to buy one outright..... So the only option is to sign an unknown , perhaps this Norwegian lad. I think with the pressure from the fans and perhaps the board for a solution to the goal drought, he will have to gamble.
  4. I disagree.... Look at the likes of Ross county, Inverness and Hamilton.... They don't have a huge fan base but that doesn't stop them reaching the top flight
  5. I don't know why we still comment on this situation....I said it the other day when Connolly was signed. We didn't need another 2 midfielders.... We needed a striker. Ray said it himself.... He's got himself into this predicament.
  6. According to BBC Dumbarton are going to request a postponement of tomorrow's game due to the death of their CEO
  7. This is a big risk from McKinnon..... Sign him (another midfielder) and we still can't score then the fans will turn on him..... He said it himself in the interview after the Alloa game. He said it's clear what we are missing... A striker..... Not another midfielder
  8. I agree. I think next seasons team should be built around the core of Cuthbert, toshney, Bene, McKeown Callahan, Vaughan and dare I say it Craigen (aye he's had a few duff games recently, but I still think he adds a bit of quality to the squad)
  9. Bloody hell, this laddie hasn't even kicked a ball for us yet but everyone is already passing judgment on the guy...
  10. Honest mate... The Wee man was even there when I bought the tickets! I was told it's because it's an all ticket game.... Which doesn't make sense to me
  11. Change of subject but i'm taking my 2 and 1/2 year old to the game today..... And I can't believe I had to pay £9 for a ticket for him.
  12. Answer me this then..... Why is it when the manager is building his squad the club calculate a budget for the season which is calculated mostly on income generated by money coming in from the fans (Home and away) which varies depending on the opposition within the league. But all of a sudden we are surviving on a month to month basis....Aye the games were postponed, but there not cancelled forever.... The games will eventually be played which means the money will eventually come our way. Surely when calculating the costs of a season postponements are taking into account. At the end of the day as long as the books are balanced at the end of the tax year
  13. I think we almost certainly received the money from the thousand odd fans who queued at Starks and paid by cash/card there and then
  14. On that note when the Rangers game was cancelled I remember people moaning that we will loose a lot of money... But I thought it was an all ticket game and a hell of an amount of away tickets were sold at Starks... So surely the money was still received for those tickets at the time???
  15. Does anyone reckon this campaign the club has going (by trying to persuade the fans to buy their tickets before Saturday) is so they can scrape some money together to pay for a new signing before the weekend? I've never understood why they always emphasise the whole "get your ticket before Saturday" as we all know there will be cash turnstiles on the day
