  1. I think the problem with wighton has been his confidence... He looks like a lost little boy. Don't think it helped when he was taken down and he got stretchered off during pre season against Aberdeen. If he has went on a Wee goal scoring run then it could have been a different story. Your right about McKay as he did show flashes of real talent.... But so did wighton when he played against us... When the loan deal was announced it did create a bit of excitement amongst the fans.
  2. I know what you and many others are saying but look at Barrie McKay....many a similar thing said about him and look at him now.
  3. Remember Mcgurn decided to go away on holiday at the start of pre season so probably didn't give Ray a great first impression with regards to his commitment to the team.... That and the whole full time v part time thing
  4. I've heard a Wee whisper that toshney and Benedictus have signed extended contracts
  5. Will be a while away but it will most definitely end up being held in the old cinema when the refurb is all finished
  6. Don't see why we should be so concerned with more players picking up knocks.... Everyone on the Raith v rangers thread agrees we will get hammered anyway so why not give the young lads like Ford and Petrie a game. Let the likes of Anderson, McCord and Stuart rest... The following 2 games after are far more significant anyway.
  7. Brian Graham on loan would be a good shout.... Not really getting a game at County but when he has been he's been scoring
  8. maybe mark Stewart has finally scored in training reassuring the fans he hasn't forgotten where the goal is
  9. Heard from a reliable source that wighton is ok and won't be out for long
  10. Feeling chuffed! Managed to get 6 of my pals to come to the game next week... Most of them live in Glasgow or Edinburgh. They've not been to the rovers in years... The teams results/performances are turning heads again.... Finally feels like the rovers of old. buzzin!
  11. Could maybe be Barr out on loan?? He will probably struggle to break through into the team just now anyway and he needs game time after so long on the side lines
  12. My Father in law moved up from Hawick in the borders about a year ago.... He was a big rugby man and didn't take much interest in the football. His first game was when we won the ramsden cup...... He is now a regular at Starks, has his own raith scarf and fleece. Just shows you it can be done..... I've done my part haha
  13. It's mentioned in the courier that McKinnon is linked to the Dundee United job
  14. I remember a few years ago the flyers and the Pars teamed up and done a deal where if you bought one season ticket you got the other for cheap. The rovers should look at doing this as apparently Kirkcaldy is an "ice hockey town" now- And to be fair I've seen loads of posters around the town and at the train station promoting the hockey. But I'm sure there are people out there who support both teams and if they could afford it they would attend both the football and the hockey. I actually went to the flyers the other week and I must admit it was a good atmosphere. To the people of Kirkcaldy I suppose it's something different as it's very americanised (signing the national anthem before the start etc haha it was pretty cringey). Anyway I feel that both clubs could perhaps work together around the community and promote eachother so to speak.
  15. Hope McKinnon rips that team a new arsehole in the changing rooms! Poor show. Lack the killer instinct big time.
  16. Aye but remember he probably played alongside half the squad at Dundee haha
  17. A little disappointed with the attendance today..... Hopefully more for the first league game
