  1. It makes absolutely no sense that we're 9 points clear of Livingston, especially with us being 6 points adrift of them when we sacked Maclean.
  2. I'd actually be ok with this, but why did we give Kane until the end of the season just a few weeks ago? To me it would've made sense to let Kane go at the end of his short term contract as it seems clear he either can't be bothered or his body (or maybe mind) isnt coping with the stresses of full time football any more. Jay Turner Cooke should've been out the door at the same time as Costelloe. He's just no where near the team and just taking up a wage and a squad place.
  3. Wants another striker when we have 5 already and invariably only play 1 up front. If we only sign one I'll be pretty miffed if it's not a wide player.
  4. It's so abundantly clear we need pace in the wide areas. If we can only sign one more then it just has to be a good attacking winger/wing back. So dreadful to watch today.
  5. Awful from Saints. Very lucky to get a point. Thankful we played Motherwell who looked like a team missing a number of players, but we really couldn't have complained if we'd lost that by a couple. Bair scoring was funny, still looks like he's never seen a football before at times but that run of starts he's had has definitely been of benefit to him.
  6. I've Forgotten to add Franczak too as he's clearly part of the first team picture now.
  7. He was brought in as a winger and forgot to move him from there. Argument could be made either way, but suspect he'd describe himself as a wide player.
  8. Goalkeepers Dimitar Mitov - 2025 Dave Richards - 2024 - on loan from Crewe Alexandria Ross Sinclair - 2026 Jack Wills - 2024 Defenders/wing backs James Brown - 2024 - free to leave Olusadare Olufunwa - 2025 David Keltjens - 2025 Sam McClelland - 2025 Ryan McGowan - 2024 Liam Gordon - 2024 Kerr Smith - 2024 - on loan from Aston Villa Andy Considine- 2024 Liam Parker - 2024 - on loan at Edinburgh City Callum Booth - 2024 - on loan at Spartans Luke Robinson - 2024 - on loan from Wigan Tony Gallacher - 2024 Midfielders/wingers Drey Wright - 2024 Diallang Jaiyesimi - 2024 - on loan from Charlton Atheltic Sven Sprangler - 2025 Connor Smith - 2025 Jay Turner-Cooke - 2024 - on loan from Newcastle Max Kucheriavyi - 2025 Daniel Phillips - 2024 Cammy McPherson - 2024 Matt Smith - 2025 Ali Crawford -2024 Cammy Ballantyne - 2024 - free to leave Alex Ferguson - 2025 - on loan at Queen of the South Graham Carey - 2024 Attackers Stevie May - 2025 Nicky Clark - 2025 Chris Kane - 2024 Benjamin Kimpioka - 2025 Taylor Steven - 2024 - on loan at Alloa Athletic Might just be me, but definitely feel progress has been made with the squad in this window. 3 players who didn't really contribute out and the two signings we've seen look like they'll contribute, the other two are promising young players. another striker to come. I hope we can add more pace in wide areas too as that still feels like a significant issue to me.
  9. Feel Dan Phillips does the difficult parts of the game exceptionally well then struggles to make a 5 yard pass. He's a good player to watch but think there's an element of style over substance with him.
  10. We're not a good team. I thought that was well established to be honest Even still, given the disallowed goal, we cracked the bar and DJ's miss from close range, we had more than enough chances to win that game quite comfortably. Keltjens looks a player, Kimpioka looks like a speed boat without a driver but will be useful as he'll give defences a fright.
  11. Always found it weird that we went through years and years of these matches being broadcast despite them being utter shite. Just shows the broadcasters don't actually pay attention
  12. Not being funny, but who in their right mind are going to take Jephcott or Brown? They're just nothing footballers. If Ballantyne is willing to drop a level or two - he'd be well advised to now I think as that's what awaits in the summer anyway - then he might go. The previous two dumpling managers really have built up a massive stack of shite that we're just completely stuck under.
  13. Levein saying in the press that he's looking for a loan for McClelland. Bit of an exodus coming if all the names being talked about all end up leaving this month.
  14. Oh I don't know. Depends who's all in for him but seems like he's well down the pecking order with us now and Levein is talking about signing another striker too. Any half decent offer we'll consider and May is the type that'll want to play IMO.
  15. Given the mess we've been left in by the gang last season, I've always been satisfied with staying up this season, by any means necessary really. I supported the appointment of Levein as I thought he'd be pragmatic and play our best players in their best positions to try and get us out of the mire. I'm still hoping that's what happens, but have to admit that I'm worried we've landed ourselves another philosophy manager (or coach as Kirk seems to set up the team) that just looks to play a certain way regardless of what the reality is in respect of the squad. Happy to give the current set up to the end of the season and, if we stay up, the summer window and beyond to see where we are at this point next year. It's not far off being a blank canvas in the summer so will be extremely disappointed if we still look like we're circling the drain (if we don't succumb this season) without any real signs of progress at that point. Appreciate there will be another huge turnover of players and a bedding in period required for that team too.
  16. Not sure I'd go quite as far as it being pointless but if it's a straight loan then I'd rather we'd pushed the boat out and got Montgomery instead as he's more what we need in the wing back position
  17. Thanks guys. Was there anything on the dynamic between Kirk and Levein at all? Or how they ideally want to see us set up long term?
  18. Anything interesting from the fans forum tonight?
  19. If presented with the opportunity to sign either or, I'd go for Montgomery because I think he has what we are missing in wide areas. Robinson covers more positions, but Keltjens looks like he can cover just about everywhere across the back and in midfield
  20. No one else can, Wigan gave him minutes so he can't play for anyone but us or them for the rest of the season.
  21. Luke Robinson on his way back, or so say Sky Sports
  22. Liam Parker has been recalled from his loan at Civil Service strollers, who have suggested in their good luck message that he's going to a league one club. Have to suspect it'll be Edinburgh City given their travails.
  23. He's like our very own version of Declan Rice only better. Looks like his strongest position is in the middle of the park going by his reel though. Sprangler's squad position looks to be ever more shoogly which is a shame.
