  1. As am I. Shocked given the body of evidence, but I really wanted him to succeed with us and hope he makes Davidson look like the fanny he is.
  2. Macca saying he's hoping for a couple of new faces this week. Couple more like the ones we've already signed plz
  3. I have absolutely no idea how we've ended up with Mitov if that's his level. He was different class. Likes the look of McLelland and Olufunwa has some good raw materials needing refining. I think there's a decent team in there somewhere, but we do need to find a way to create more chances
  4. Goalkeepers Dimitar Mitov - 2025 Ross Sinclair - 2024 Jack Wills - 2024 Defenders/wing backs James Brown - 2024 Olusadare Olufunwa - 2025 Sam McClelland - 2025 Ryan McGowan - 2024 Liam Gordon - 2024 Andy Considine- 2024 Liam Parker - 2024 Callum Booth - 2024 Tony Gallacher - 2024 Midfielders/wingers Drey Wright - 2024 Max Kucheriavyi - 2025 Daniel Phillips - 2024 Cammy McPherson - 2024 Matt Smith - 2025 Ali Crawford -2024 Cammy Ballantyne - 2024 Alex Ferguson - 2025 Graham Carey - 2024 Attackers Stevie May - 2025 Nicky Clark - 2025 Luke Jephcott - 2025 Chris Kane - January 2024 Taylor Steven - 2024 26 mentioned here and I've not included the likes of McCrystal (who probably has as much of a right to be mentioned here as Taylor, Wills and Parker do). I'd suggest we could probably do with getting Parker, Steven, Ferguson and maybe Kucheriavyi out on loan and shot of Crawford completely which brings us back down to 21/22. I do feel we need more options wide than Carey and Wright. I know Kucheriavyi has filled in there but I think he's better centrally. I feel we need 2 more and that's subject to us not losing anyone else, either to injury or unexpectedly leaving.
  5. Smith announced and immediately available for selection That's 5 signings now done, all permanent, all young and who look like they'll improve the squad at least, if not the first team. Big props to the club for getting these done. I'd like to see us sign a wide player and maybe another attacking player (winger who can play up top or vice versa, in the mould of Matty Kennedy) and I think we can be really pleased with Macca's rebuild. if we could get shot of Crawford and find a good loan home for some of the young boys then it's mission accomplished for me. It might not save us this year but certainly gives a lot more to be optimistic about going forward. I think today is going to be a struggle, I hope the fans stay with the team. We have an inexperienced manager and a young team now, I don't think getting on their backs is going to help anyone.
  6. I know it's a highlight reel, but he looks a very capable footballer. The kind of player I'm always jealous of other teams having.
  7. Certainly look short in the wide areas but the 3 signings this week certainly bulk the numbers and hopefully the quality up.
  8. Feel like our new analyst is really earning his corn right now with these signings/targets (as well as everyone else at the club obviously). Might not be enough to save us this season but the manager is clearly embracing the structure and listening to everyone in the room when it comes to recruitment. Can only help broaden our target range and get players who'll improve us. Olufunwa is clearly a gamble but he will at least give us depth in a couple of positions where we're short. Hopefully he takes to first team football well.
  9. 8 games for Falkirk in league one and a few games in the national league north...
  10. Maybe it's just because I've had to listen to Davidson for the better part of 3 years but I didn't think that was a bad interview. We can't all be natural public speakers but think he got his points across well enough
  11. The fact it's another defender maybe gives us a clue we've got more to come in than Maclean has been letting on (prior to Saturday's post match interview anyway). Certainly isn't one of the originally 3 we were told to expect anyway.
  12. I'd heard murmurings about that and that message is pretty damaging, but I'm sure the club have already dealt with it. If it is true and he's out for 4 months as was suggested earlier, I can't see him playing for us again. So stupid, and something we could really do without when there's already a massive negativity vacuum encompassing the club
  13. You found his one goal in thirty three appearances. We are an absolute rabble right now and he got released from his contract with a year to spare. He was too shit to play for this current St Johnstone team, just let that sink in. (I hope he does you a turn btw, there's not a player I've wanted to succeed more than Bair)
  14. 8 first team players out injured and seems like at least 6 won't make it for Saturday. Seeing as we have about 12 first team players, that's something of a blow.
  15. Gordon's collapse in form has been quite incredible really. Appreciate he had a lot of quality cover beside him when he was at his best, but always felt he was the glue that held that back 3 together. Wouldn't believe it's the same player as the one in the middle of the double winning back 3
  16. Some haven't really responded and others have regressed too. May and Wright being the two most obvious ones. May is a confidence player so that would explain that.
  17. I don't think we can really afford to ditch Maclean to be honest. Putting faith in him is a huge gamble for the club that we're going to have to hope pays off. We ended last season strongly and the 3 signings we have made look decent so hopefully he will come good. There may come a point where he needs to seriously consider... a back 3. It probably suits the defenders we currently have best and we all want him to show more flexibility in his shape than Davidson.
  18. Just like Kilmarnock fans were blaming Tommy Wright for much of last season.
  19. Maclean did say yesterday post match that he now knows what experiences ones aren't good enough. If you're looking at the competitive league cup games in isolation, the one who's looked most out of his depth is Gordon and that's been against teams in all 3 of the divisions below.
